The place is spacious with a nice kitchen. But volunteers seemed a bit weird and uninviting or maybe just lack some interpersonal skills.. only interested in chilling n chitchatting among themselves in the common area and didn’t knew much about the place either as compared to the other hostels that I’ve stayed, where people working are always ready to help in every way... It also has a funny architecture, every time you have to go to the toilet or kitchen, you have to go through the main living room. Location is also a bit far from old town.

72h booking policy what a bunch of malarkey this is. My bus got cancelled at the last minute and couldn't show up at the hostel on time. I warned them 24hbefore check in time and offered moving my bookyto a later date. They refused any option and charged my card. Pretty sure they made double money by renting my bed to another guest on top of that.

This is a nice and clean Hostel to stay at- The rooms are really spacious and the beds all have curtains which is great for privacy and you can easily charge your phone. Lockers are a good size too can easily fit a small suitcase in there and they provide keys. The only thing is - PREPARE yourself there are about 30 steps you have to go up with no help so make sure you can carry it. Also a little far from the port but it’s near the water fountain near the big statue which is good! Staff were average but good price. In a random abandoned place too but safe.

A good hostel with everything you need. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Rooms with good bunk beds isolated with curtains. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the old town. There is a very convenient supermarket nearby.

I've been in this hostel around 4 days and it's been amazing choice. Rooms are really big, beds has their own "privacy" because they have curtains so nobody has to see you while you're sleeping. Bathroom are big and super clean and service is really nice and helpful. I totally recommend this hostel ❤️

The location of the hostel is a 15/20 minute walk from the Old Town of Split. The walk is very simple down a hill and back up on your way back to the hostel. Finding the actual hostel is a little difficult but just look out for the graffiti signs on the building and you’ll find the stairs. The hostel itself is all you could ask for. You enter into a reception and communal area with a reasonable kitchen to the side. All rooms lead from the common. Don’t be afraid of the 18 per room you’d never be able to tell. The rooms are very quiet and private. Your bunk has a black out curtain so you will get a great nights sleep. There was a big group that went out in the evening so if that’s your thing you’d be able to join in. My only negative would be the showers, the glass on the doors to the showers were quite see through and I felt a little exposed. There was also only the shower to get changed in afterwards, which isn’t the end of the world. There are lots of sinks, and female and male toilets. Overall it was the best of any kind of stay you’d want. Id definitely stay again if I ever return to Split.

Superb staff, very friendly and understanding! Rooms were spacious. I was nervous about being in an 18 bed room, but each bed has a curtain ensuring privacy. The rooms are also air conditioned perfectly. Bathrooms were very clean, and are cleaned quite frequently which is always a bonus in hostels. Great location too, not far from the city centre or bus routes. Internet was great too. Overall a very enjoyable stay and one id recommend!

Friendly staff, clean enough dorms and common area but showers were pretty grim. Young crowd vibe when I was there but I only stayed 1 night so maybe it changes. It's about 15 mins walk to the centre which isn't ideal...

The hostel has all of the essentials. The kitchen was well equiped with cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and cutlery. The room had a comfortable bed, curtains, plugs and a ledge to store items. Lockers were provided in the rooms which is a plus. The 8-person room was spacious and fairly modern. Many showers and toilets, never had to queue or wait. You are provided with a hand towel which is handy. The common room is in the middle which means noise enters the room and if you are trying to sleep early it is disturbing. There are multiple clubs and bars located in the complex which further adds some background noise (luckily I had ear plugs). The complex which the hostel is located in has a lot of graffiti and seems a little run down but I didn't feel unsafe as people didn't loiter there. There's a Tommy supermarket next door which is handy. The hostel is about a 15-20 minutes walk to the train station/harbour. The hostel organised late check in for me as I was arriving after 11pm. On leaving, I was able to leave my bag until later which is handy especially when it was quite warm. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would stay again, it is not the fanciest but good value.

Great hostel, but the wifi isn’t the best. Beds are confortable and the staff are the sweetest. 15 minutes walk from the center, but it’s not too bad. Very calm hostel. 4/5 because I needed a good wifi connection for my work.

The place was fine, but the deal killer was no hot water in the showers or sinks. I tried every night and morning I was there and it was always stone cold.

Clean rooms, very comfortable, good size beds. Vending machine with normal prices inside. 1 minute to market, 10minutes walk to old town or to the beach!

relatively clean - bathroom smelled a bit terrible but otherwise fine. staff were super friendly, let me check in early as my room was ready & this meant I could leave my backpack for the day too!

Very nice hostel in a seems to be sketchy area. But it’s actually fine. I just wouldn’t recommend walking alone by night.

I enjoyed my stay at En Route - it’s the perfect hostel if you’re looking for a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The hostel is very clean, and even though you’re in big dorms there is good privacy. 15 min walk into the old town. There’s a supermarket, bakery and drugstore right next door which is very useful.

the hostel looks very modern, rooms are big, clean and comfy. The staff there is helpful and they are checking that everything is in order/clean etc. The shared spaces such as the living room or the kitchen are just great. First time I went to take a shower it was kinda dirty not gonna lie, but overall I'd highly recommend it.

In terms of cleanliness and comfort one of the best hostels I stayed in during my trip. The rooms host a lot of people, but because you sleep in a little cubicle with your own curtain it felt private. The lockers are big enough to store a large suitcase. The hostel was cleaned properly everyday and there were multiple bathrooms with enough toilets and showers. Staff was friendly and it's just a 15 minute walk to the old city.

Good hostel with modern and spacious rooms. Good location to walk into the old Town and beach and there is a casino just around the corner. The staff was very helpful and there is a luggage room to store your luggage on your first or last day.

Best hostel I've seen in Croatia. Spacious and friendly. Run by volunteers. Only problem is they claim to be 5 minutes from the centre but it's more like 20 minutes away, by foot. This is important when you need to work out how much time needed to get to the bus station or port. I would leave at least 30 minutes.

Great staff make great hostels and at En Route you can find Marte. She's great fun and laughs easily. She can help with the free parking, where to eat, what to see in beautiful Split and where to find other great hostels in Croatia. The hostel has small and large mixed dorm rooms. Everyone gets a locker. Showers and toilets are clean and there's a big open area with vending machines and computers. Neat kitchen with a big fridge. The hostel is in a late Socialist sports complex now with added supermarket and a couple of restaurant bars. Just a walk to town and a nearby beach. It's all electronic locks on the entry doors and one little key for the locker with the room door code. Remember to memorize the entry door code! It's oddly hard to find the hostel. It only has a single small sign by some stairs on an anonymous building. But it's a find!

Best Place to stay Split. Super clean, very nice (and good looking) staff and it's the perfect place to get to know people straight away. even arranged a driver last minute, so if it wouldn't been for them I would've probably missed my flight!

Very nice and place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and most important cheap. It's close to city center, you are at center in 15 minutes by foot. If ever come to Split, I'll book a room here for sure.
