Literally the only good thing is the location. It's not a hotel or botoque hotel, it's a guest room. Some of the rooms are spacious, we had 3 premium sea view rooms, they were all different sizes all different views (mostly a tiny window), AC worked well in 2/3 rooms (heard multiple guests complain the A/c didn't work ) The place is run horribly , they cut every corner possible The curtains on the window were see through in 2/3 rooms - seriously what's the long term cost if a proper curtain / shade for a room ? So sun comes blaring in at 8am. Towels were like dollar store towels barely big enough to wrap around your body. Shower floods the bathroom if you put it on medium pressure. TV didn't work at all bc owner didn't pay the bill. There's literally one person who just checks you in, no one can help you with your bags , or do anything (though the employees were very nice.) Place has potential but the operator is garbage, it's not a hotel or even a botique hotel, it's a guest room. All about location, but there's a lot of other options within a stones throw Check out 10am! Breakfast was bad

Very disappointed. The room photos shown online are very misleading as they look very different, especially the view. When we arrived they requested to pay in cash even if they had a card machine. We managed to pay by card only after we insisted. The worst thing was breakfast. Coffee was just water with poor coffee quality, we were served bread and poor yogart quality, jam, a plate of scrabbled eggs, ham and cheese with some peeled cucumber, zucchini and carrot which were all cut few days ago. At least it was clean and in good location.

I spent two weeks traveling around Croatia and this was the worst place I stayed during my trip. I spent $160/night during low season for a room that had a serious sewage problem in the bathroom, no one at reception or check in, no maid service, no breakfast, messages went unanswered, no coffee maker, it did have a nice view of the ocean and is centrally located but that was about it. The stay would’ve been fine for $50 or $60 a night but for $160 the service and state of the room was unacceptable.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days. On our first night, we found a mouse at 3am and wasn’t able to figure out how to call the reception number from a UK phone. The next morning we told reception about the mouse and she said they would handle it. We came back later that night and asked the night receptionist, who called someone and then told us that the mouse was not caught but shooed away. The mouse stayed in our room til our 5th day there, where my husband and I had to catch it and release it due to the hotel being no help. On our checkout, the receptionist said that our window was near a restaurant and that’s why we had a mouse and that the only thing she could do was say sorry. Our room consistently had mouse droppings all over the floor, bed, night stands, and chair, even after the cleaning people had been in multiple times during our stay. Overall, the reception lied to us and didn’t offer any solutions to the mouse in our room, even after being told they’d take care of it twice. The only good thing about the hotel was how close it was to the city center.

I would have given 5 stars but our visit was let down. Firstly the hotel is lovely and the room we had was very comfortable. I will say if your street facing there can be a lot of street noise at night and our visit was in winter so summer I would think it much worse. The major upset is the breakfast. We were going to do this both mornings but ended up being only once. You have to pay cash at reception and when we said we would like breakfast but was it possible a little earlier due to running the Split half marathon and this was sorted no problem which we were grateful for, however, we were then told that as it was quite the price went UP from 10 euros to 15 euros. We were not happy but agreed. We were told to help ourselves to tea and coffee, except there was not any. We did find a pod coffee and finally got a coffee sorted. When our food of cereal yoghurt juice slices of bread and jam arrived we asked for milk. Then told no milk at all. What makes this worse is the open supermarket 3 mins walk away. So in short try and attract business by bringing down the price not putting it up. Get the basics sorted. Finally, when I got up it was clear by very large cobwebs in corners and from the ceiling the room had not been cleaned. Oh looked like 3 bags of cement mix stored there too. For a lovely hotel, this is pretty shocking and a real letdown. We did see a receptionist briefly on Sunday and mentioned this she said not to bother with breakfast but after that once there was no one in reception, even when we left. A poor experience stained a pleasant visit

Good location, but extremely noisy even with the windows closed. Bed sheets had holes and cleaning was questionable. Shampoo was never refilled, even after asking. Only accepts cash for payment.

This hotel is well located but it cannot be a 4-star hotel. There was a bad smell in the room (humidity and other). We had to keep the windows open to smell it less. The pictures are not really representative of the reality. I wouldn’t come back

Excellent location and beautifully renovated hotel! Everything is very clean and looks new and luxurious. Outstanding service. It's across the street from the sea and the promenade/board walk. Few minutes walk to the all the main attractions in the city center. It was comfortable and surprisingly quiet, but that may be different in season. Beautiful balcony with a view of both the city and the sea. There's street parking, but you may need to circle around to find available spot. It's around €9 per day and free Sat 2pm to Monday morning. The tickets machine takes coins or card. You can also pay per sms. The hotel doesn't have a parking on site or temporary parking for checking in. If you're driving, the entrance is not facing the sea. It's on the opposite side. The can guide you to a parking few minutes walk.

Large room well decorated but with some faults : not worth the high price in mid season (1100 kunas) knowing there was hairs on the duvets, that breakfast was of low quality (why not natural orange juice in Croatia?) and that payment was by cash only (hence an extra 12% conversion rate from the ATM). Plus checkout at 10:30 AM, earlier than anywhere else.

They asked us to pay in advance via a bank transfer. After some arguing they finally accepted our credit card even though they said the payment is cash only. Breakfast was of very low quality and looked spoiled. Coffee was mostly water with coffee flavour. Overall very disappointing and not worth the money. Pictures are misleading and heavily edited. Avoid at all costs.

Our first three nights in Split we chose to stay at this hotel to start our trip right. Excellent prime location that's close enough to the main port but also tucked away to be away from the sounds of the local night life. We were very pleased with this hotel and especially with Lucija at the front desk. She was constantly accommodating to any requests of ours, small or large. Always had a genuine smile on her face. The balcony with the sea view room wasn't available but we got the one with the window view of the beautiful sea and palm trees in front. This is the way to be waking up in the morning to beautiful split. The rooftop was great we spent one late night up there just star gazing with some wine. Day 1 our refrigerator was not working but they replaced it efficiently enough. The only bad part of this was when we were checking out to leave, highly recommend!

My recent stay at Galeria Valeria, located in downtown Split, was truly delightful. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that this hotel prioritizes guest comfort and satisfaction. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the room, 305. It was not only spacious but also newly built or renovated, boasting modern and tasteful decor. The addition of a well-equipped kitchen was a pleasant surprise, allowing me the convenience of preparing meals at my own pace. The large bathroom was impeccable, offering plenty of space. The big bed was incredibly comfortable, and the presence of a comfortable couch and working bench added an extra level of convenience. The attention to detail and thought put into the room's design made me appreciate my stay even more. The hotel staff demonstrated utmost professionalism and provided exceptional service throughout my stay. They were attentive to any requests I had and made sure I felt welcome and well-cared for. The level of friendliness and efficiency displayed by the staff truly enhanced my overall experience. The location of Galeria Valeria is another major plus. Situated in downtown Split, it offers easy access to various attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether I wanted to explore the historical sites or indulge in some local cuisine, everything was just a stone's throw away, which made my stay all the more convenient and enjoyable. One thing to notice is that you have to pay the city taxes in cash even if you have prepaid your room through a service like Expedia, like I did.

The service of the staff was exceptional. The room and facilities clean and aesthetically pleasing. wonderful breakfast and the location was perfect (easy to get to with our luggage).

The staff, without exception, are professional and efficient, yet lively, friendly people with a great sense of humor and love of life. We rarely passed the Reception without stopping to chat and catch up. The room had everything we needed and more, ample hot water, great water pressure, fluffy towels, robes, slippers, firm bed and extra pillows. Their soap and shampoo are organic and smell herby and fresh. We felt genuinely welcomed and were so well taken care of, it was hard to leave. Of course the location can’t be beat, and yet it’s not the reason we recommend it … it’s for the lovely people at Galeria Valeria . Stay here when in Split.

This hotel is more of a 1 or 2 star motel but just because the room faces the ocean they claim to be higher. WARNING: DO NOT book their private taxi airport transfer service. This is a huge rip off, they charge double of an Uber, the driver does not show up to the airport exit with a board and your name on it (even though they offered this as part of the service in writing). Instead, you have to haul all your luggage on your own to the airport carpark and load up your own luggage in the car. Then they try to take cash only with no receipt which is super dodgy. The driver drops you off on the street and you have to haul your luggage into the hotel. The hotel manager refused to take any responsibility or ownership over the misleading and false service which was offered. Instead the manager told us to stop bothering her because she's tired and that we have to pay by cash only as a rule but when we asked to see the rule they couldn't show us anything. No receipt for the transfer service was offered. Everything just seemed super dodgy. You'd be better off taking an Uber. UPDATE: Upon check out we were finally treated with dignity and respect by Ivona and Ivana who apologized for the poor treatment and bad experience and reversed the transport charge.

The staff was super kind and gave us great recommendations for the restaurants. The room was nice, very comfortable and very well cleaned. I definitely recommend !! Don't forget to drink a glass of wine at the top of the hotel, it's something special :)

It doesn’t make a good impression outside, but give it a try, the room is great, to be exact — never a better, bathroom — extra, breakfast is delicious, and the staff is so kind. They made our experience there even better. And a really good location especially from the roof terrace, you can see the whole city

The location is perfect, right in the center and there is also parking. Staff was very kind, helped us with everything and breakfast was very tasteful. Also, the room matches pictures perfectly.

The location of the hotel is its main asset. Otherwise it's expensive for what it is. I specify that it is not really a hotel but more apartments for rent honestly. Check out is at 10 a.m. (first time I've seen a hotel check out before 12 p.m.) and a woman came knocking on the door like a cowboy because we had exceeded 45 minutes and we were about to leave. Knowing that check in is at 3 p.m.… The cleaning lady was nice and some of the girls at the reception too. But despite more than a week spent in this hotel, I would not return. Ps: They do not have a terminal to pay by card, it is mandatory cash…

Great location, beautiful and spacious rooms. We had a room with a sea and promenade view and spent our evenings at the rooftop that has an even more beautiful view! Staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was great!

The view is indeed amazing. It was so nice to get up and have a breakfast looking at the beautiful city and the sea. Staff is amazing, they are competent, attentive, helpful. The room was very clean! All the furniture is new and comfy. We stayed for one week and were more then satisfied. This place is highly recommended.

I would give a zero star if I can. Very disappointed. It took them more than 2 hours to check us in. There’re flies in the room. They said there’s parking but actually no parking. This would be a long list of disappointment…

I would stay away at all costs- take your money elsewhere. My vacation was ruined… learn from my experience. Galería Valeria Seaside Hotel refused to give a refund for my trip- My flight was canceled to Croatia due to Lufthansa going on strike. Very poor customer service they do not pickup the phones and will only communicate through email. Very troubling when a claimed 4 star property has no customer service.

Great stay! The rooms are excellent, spacious and comfortable. The staff was mostly very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent, although I do wish they had an additional protein option such as sausages or bacon, as it wasn't too filling. Can't top the location! 3 minute walk from Old City was perfect. Would stay again.
