A small hostel a bit out of the way from the old city (a good thing in my opinion). The hosts go out of their way to be friendly and will even make morning coffee! I'll be here again next time i come to split!

Hostel Cicada is not a hostel, it's home! I stayed there for one week and had the best time ever. The host does everything to make her guests feel at home. I made amazing friends at this hostel, although it's not a party hostel. It's located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, but is still very close to everything. It lies only a about 10-12 minutes of walk from the center. So if you come home from a long night, you can definitely get some sleep. The rooms are very clean and the organization is great. I'll come back for sure!

Ivana and Miran are awesome hosts. This is a great hostel for a quieter crowd. Not too far from town, but not nestled anywhere crazy busy. Clean and comfortable, and stylishly furnished. Laundry available on-site for a price was a huge plus for us.

Clean small hostel with comfortable bunk beds that don't make noise, shared kitchen, washing machine, toilet and shower separately for girls and boys. Very nice and helpful host Ivana gave us acomodation with a smile on her face even though we came right before midnight and prepared coffee and donuts for everyone in the morning (for free). Hostel was full of young cool people but didn't feel crowded. Air conditioning helped us in the heat. Definitely recommend it.

Off the beaten path chill hostel. Hostess Ivona is warm and charming. She will tell you the best places to go based on your budget/time. She makes you fresh coffee every morning and popcorn in the evenings. Very clean. Small and cozy so easy to make new friends. Close to the centre without all the tourists. 10 min walk to centre. Close to some great local restaurants for cheaper options made with love.

There isn't anything I can complain about, Ivona(host) has to be the loveliest person I've ever met, she always had a smile on her face and always offered to make me tea/coffee and made popcorn every morning!, she always made sure that i was having a good time, She also organised a few of my day trips which were amazing!, If you're ever stuck not knowing what to do you can count on Ivona to help you out, she also recommended fife restaurant which was really good! definitely the best hostel I've stayed in!, when i return to split i will without a doubt visit hostel cicada :)!!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely people, amazing hostel, extremely helpful and very welcoming . So good we didn't want to leave our rooms.

An absolutely wonderful place ! Clean, quiet, small (2 rooms only), family-owned. Old Town is about 20 min walk, small grocery store nearby as well. I would absolutely stayed longer if I didn't already book a ticket to Dubrovnik ;)

Very nice stay. If you want a chill and nice place to stay in Split, this is a great option.

best hostel I ever stayed!

Stayed here unplanned for two weeks and the hosts did everything they could to help me when I had nowhere to stay. They’re extremely friendly, the hostel is in a great location and can either be social or quiet depending on how you act when you’re there.

I have visited many hostels across numerous countries and Cicada is one of my favorites. I stayed here for a couple of weeks in 2019 and it very quickly felt like home. So much so that I have planned my current trip around visiting Cicada again. Ivona and Marin are the perfect hosts, warm, helpful and have beautiful energy. The hostel is nice and quiet and ideal for a good rest. I particularly like the beds, good mattress and well built. I couldn't recommend this hostel enough ♥️
