Good cheap place. Equivalent to a 2star hotel. Although cheap the food here was not good I tried once and that was enough. But the location I'd great only 15mins to bene beach, 10 mind to centre and 2 mins to spinut Harbour.

The property is within walking distance from the city center, but a bit far away from the beaches if you don't have a car. Prices are fair for what is essentially a student dorm converted into hostel. The facilities were good, with shared kitchens. The restaurant serves very good meals for a great price, especially if you are not interested in paying the outrageous prices of the restaurants in the city center. We had a balcony and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was that our bathroom had mold in the ceiling.

This place raised our expectations on the term hostel! The location is brilliant - in a nice residential area by a seaside marina, a former Olympic Games site and a woodland. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Some guests can be a bit inconsiderate... speaking loudly on corridors, walking with noisy shoes on steps/corridors. The sheets and fluffy towels were super white and clean. Reception, rooms, bathrooms, stairs and corridors were shining. Although the room seemed hot when we arrived, it was perfectly comfortable for sleeping. Mattresses and pillow were good quality and very clean. Rooms could benefit from a small fridge, however, cold (and hot) drinks and snacks are available from vending machines in Reception. There's also a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast (7-10am) and lunch from 12 noon... but we were out and didn't get the chance to eat there... There's plenty of parking for those who wish to drive and 2 bus routes terminate outside, so you're guaranteed a seat into town centre. The building is large and is normally a student accommodation and is used in the summer to accommodate tourists/visitors. There's an Olympic site across the road and a huge stadium a few minutes walk away, now used for football. It's a lovely location and prices are affordable compared to most places in Split.

Don't even know where to start.. I'm traveller and I'm always staying in the cheapest hotels/hostels to save money and spend on tours instead. This place was €110 for 3nights but it was the worst place I've stayed in my entire life! Everything is broken - sockets, door handles, drawers, shutters etc Cockroaches crawing all over the floor and spiders occupied the ceiling. Furthermore, outside 35 degrees and there is no air-con so you have to sleep like you're in sauna. Also I was beaten by bed bugs and mosquitos... I couldn't wait to check out! The place should be reported to health and safety administration.

The room was super hot and a little dirty, the hostel in general is fine; it has some shared kitchens and a cafè but it's super crowded in the morning and not well equipped.

This hostel is interesting to say the least. Like… it feels like a huge student dorm building that just happens to have hostel and hotel rooms but doesn’t feel very social. You will find families and young students walking around. The hostel workers are pretty helpful and nice. We got a private room and overall the room was good. Had AC and beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was falling a little bit apart though (shower head attachment fell off the wall). The hostel feels far away from the city center but it’s actually pretty well connected with buses that stop right in-front of the hostel. Uber is just €5 to get you to most of the important places in town. If you feel adventurous you can also walk to town in like 30 min even late at night. Feels safe to walk around at night since it’s pretty well lit.

The hostel is used as a dormitory but in summer time it is open for tourists. The room for two with our own bathroom we had was good. Clean, all in order, balcony, comfortable beds, and good workplaces if someone needs to work from time to time:) One can buy breakfast, lunch and dinner without prepayment. Just pay for it when it suits you. We stayed in the hostel for 5 days, and didn't miss even one breakfast. From time to time we had lunch and dinner as well. The meal was great all the time. We really enjoyed the well cooked steaks, vegetables, eggs, different kinds, salami, and of course, bakery - croissants and cakes. The cooks are happy to serve food to you, sometimes they're singing while serving the food. There was a very good ambiance all the time we were there. The separate thanks a million to the staff at the reception - very friendly and helpful regardless what problem/question you come with. They always try their best to help you. A special thanks to Maria, who took care of us as we were the dearest guests in the world:) The hostel location is very good if you are aiming at swimming, and you are rather happy to walk to the beaches on foot through the great national park Marjan. Shadow, many benches, water taps, trees, plants, wide asphalt roads for only pedestrians and bicyclists. There are also some trails with ground cover for those who like it. The path is about 1.5 km long. During walking you can choose the beach you'd like more. I'd recommend the beach just before Bene. And, probably, the most famous one, Kasjuni. If you want to reach the city center, there is no problem at all. There's a bus stop, just right around the corner, where you can get to the city center from. 60 mins trip costs 2 euro.

The reception staff was extremely kind, especially Denis and Tina! They were really helpful and also gave us info on where to go and what to eat etc. The room was clean and bright. It was very calm, which for people who come to Split to party isn't ideal since there are no buses at night. Walking is possible, but it takes around 15-20mins to reach the city. I recommend for a short stay!

We were there for 6 nights. There were few bad reviews recently but everything was fine in our room. The staff are very nice and super helpful.

Super nice staff and fair facilities for the price. Cheap meals in the on-site cafeteria but fyi not really suitable for vegetarians.

We paid next to nothing for 3 nights and 2 people. The quality therefore was as expected. The place is kind of falling apart. But it wasn't dirty at least. So with a small budget this place is pretty nice.

we were here for six nights, as two young people (for context). the rooms are dirty & everything was broken. we had a lot of flies in or room, a lizard and other unwanted animals that we chose not to identify. the hygiene was overall very bad, especially in the bathrooms. there was no ac, so it was extremely hot during the day and you had to open the windows during the night. because of that, it was extremely loud during the night. no one was quiet in the hostel and the animals (as we said, idk what kind of, we didnt google it) were crazy loud. the location is fine: pretty close to nice beaches and like a 20minute walk to the center. a lidl and a tommy's nearby. the wifi i fast & uncomplicated. the people working there are extremely kind and trying to help all the time. check-in and check-out was easy and quick. avoid the coffee machine. the 150ml cups are only filled by half.

The place is a student dorm with very basic comforts. The restaurant serves simple and filling fare. The highlight is the efficient, friendly and helpful reception desk.

We were here for 3 nights and it was warm sleeping at night. Opened the door/window which lead to bugs coming in. They have onsite laundry which took forever to dry. The hostel itself is close to the water and about a 15-20min walk to the town.

Nice and ceap place for a short stay, and still very clean, cozy and very close to the center with good public transport. Nice and quite beach in the near and a huge park. Excellent value for money.

super basic accommodation. Cheap and close to ultra europe music festival venue. SUPER hot in rooms because there are no fans in the room and little ventilation with baring hot sun beaming in the windows, making sleeping super unfordable and virtually impossible during summer months. There are some fans available apparently from reception if you ask, but they are very very limited and were not available. Also, because its so close to the music festival venue, recuperating and sleeping after partying all night was nearly impossible as the after party music kept going super loud after official close of nightly music festival, until midday. good cheap food.

Very friendly staff, but unfortunately no airconditioning in the rooms and noise from people talking/screaming outside, so be prepared for sleepless sweaty nights

nice place to stay! really nice staff! they are ready to help all the time! food is nice, prices are affordable, location is great. bus station is directly in front of entrance, you can rent a bike or e-bike right here. Great for athletes because green zone Marjan forest is here.

Our room was visibly dirty (mouldy chewing gum on the wall next to the bed, hair and dust on the floor, plenty of mould on the shower head and the bathroom tiles, brown sprinkles on the wall next to the toilet). The beds were really bad and rickety. The staff wasn’t very helpful even though we complained about the shower, which was disgusting and not usable due to the amount of mould. First they promised us a refund for the night and at check-out they said that it’s not possible. Definitely not worth the money. Don’t go there!

After reading the reviews we were a bit worried about our stay here but we were positively surprised. Check-in was super easy and Dennis was very kind and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. (We booked a room with a/c, perhaps they are more modern) The breakfast was fairly good, the 6€ were definitely worth it. The staff was absolutely endearing and more than ready to share their favorite spots (thank you Tina!) and we felt we were in good hands. The only thing that is important to note is that it is about 15-20min from the center by foot. We were two young women travelling alone so walking back at night didn’t feel safe to us and the last bus came around 23h… Not a problem per se - just something to note, especially if you are planning on going out late. In general we were very happy with our stay and would definitely book Hostel Spinut again!
