An easy to find covered parking in the center of Split. More expensive than paid street parking but at least you have the car protected from the sun. The price is 25 HRK for one hour. This information was missing in all the reviews so I thought I would mention it here to help other people to decide whether to park their car in this public garage. We were satisfied so no problem at all. Also you can pay by a credit card. Covered parking in Split. It's not cheap but we had no issues with damages to the car. It felt very secure to us. Located just 5 min walk from the palace. Read the instructions on the ticket machine carefully as the discount passes have to be purchased in advance! The attendant in the garage helped us, otherwise this is a very very pricey option. For a 3 day pass we payed 415 Kuna, without the discount multi day pass this would have been more than 800!!!!

The previous day we spent an hour trying to get a parking spot somewhere in town, we eventually found one but we didn't do it correctly. Then we found this place and it was very intuitive and cheap to park. Incredibly close to the old town which made it easy to both visit the park and everything in the Old Town. Very good place.

It was the most convenient parking into & out of Split and closest to our stay in Old Town. It's covered and safe and 3-day pass is $750 Kuna. For us we'll worth the price.

I had a bad experience at this car park, the car was undamaged but having driving six hours down from Slovenia and arriving late at night, alone and tired I found the ticket machine does not take euros and cards at all, despite what is written in the reviews. I was very confused at the machine and accidentally selected seven days parking instead of three which cost me 1000 kuna in cash. Next day I realised my mistake and went to speak to the guy in the car park office and showed him my ticket. I explained what I had done and asked if he could give me a ticket for just three days. Well he would not, he just didn’t want to know or do anything to help, I couldn’t believe it as It was a genuine mistake and all the entry and payment details on my ticket were there to see, in fact he wasn’t very pleasant at all. Just very careful at the payment machines and if you are tired, hot and confused just take your time, this experience spoilt my whole stay in Split. It’s ok to park here for a few hours, that is all I would recommend and take cash in Kuna.
