PSA- THIS IS A MUST VISIT if you’re staying in Split, Croatia. The staff is so incredibly friendly and are actually willing to chat with you, if you choose to. The service is pretty fast (from what it feels like compared to other places from our 4 day Croatia stay) and the presentation and the portion of the food are no doubt top-notch. Let’s talk about the attention to details. Their menu is so intuitive and unique. It’s sort of a flip book look and allows you to easily flip through the appetizers (cold and warm), mains, desserts, and drinks. I’m a 0.1% top Google reviewer and honestly never saw another menu like this. Additionally, their utensil napkin is so unique and awesome. It has a pocket that places both the utensils and I APPRECIATE such attention to details. I mean, in terms of the food quality, just take a look at the pictures below. The lamb chop was AMAZING, the daily special was grilled squids was INSANELY MEATY, the tuna tartare was just PERFECT, and the truffle linguine was MUA. Let’s just say for a more than fair price, we barely made it back to our stay, not because of alcohol but, due to the portion of these flavorful dishes. 10/10 would recommend 👍🏼👍🏼

Had an amazing dinner at AE kitchen and Wine Bar last night. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the Split Promenade and is in a quiet little street. We sat on outside tables in a beautiful evening. The food and table settings were presented beautifully. Everyone enjoyed their meals but I would like to recommend a unique Greek salad and prawn risotto. They were delicious.

Perfect place if you want to drink fantastic local wines served by very knowledgeable staff. Food is awesome, everything we ate was perfect, fresh and so tasty. Not to pricey and a calm location of the beaten track.

We had a wonderful evening at AE. We were very politely welcomed by a waitress while took us to our table.We let them choose us the food in a tasting menu, and so the wine also- and did not regret it. The staff were very professional, polite and attentive to our every request, while still leaving us to enjoy the ambience and delightfully presented food. AE is a real treat and worth every penny.

Really nice restaurant and service. The food is authentic and their starters certainly something to go for. Portions are big and food of very good quality. We had fish and it was fresh and finely cooked. Ask for the wine suggestions, they are super helpful and have a great selection. Thanks for the diner !

Really welcoming and good service. Tasty food and a big wine list where they serve pretty much all wines by the glass. Went here on our first evening in Split to escape the crazyness of the Old Town. We also came back for breakfast a few days later. Highly recommended.

We did a walking tour of Split 2 weeks ago and the finale was a wine tasting at A'E Wine Bar. It was fantastic. The food was delicious and the wine was great. Our server (he might have been one of the owners) was knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend this wine bar if you are in Split. It is a very short walk outside of Diocletian's Palace but worth it!

This place is AMAZING! Stayed at Villa Desideria which is basically attached to this restaurant. The food and DRINKS are amazing. Service is great. Food, delicious. Ambiance, wonderful. Service, 11/10 would recommend 💯

Food is fantastic: Exquisite taste and beautifully presented. We ordered a cold sea plate appetizer, a warm ravioli Skitnika appetizer, and a T-bone steak.

Linda give a very welcoming service we enjoyed the lunch (although it’s very limited) but everything was so delicious and fresh. They have a bigger menu for dinner. The place has a very nice decoration. Will come back for the wine tasting soon ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of dining at A’E kitchen and wine bar, a hidden gem in Split. The restaurant offers a truly authentic Croatian culinary experience, with high-quality local ingredients and an impressive selection of local wines. Great food in a lane way away from busy streets. It's an intimate setting for a street restaurant. The service was outstanding. Our waiter Matthew, was a great asset, he was friendly and open and couldn't do enough for us. As night fell, the laneway lit up and was used by locals and tourists alike but it was never crowded. The beetroot and spinach rissoto was tasty and the the squid was tender and tasty. Well worth a visit.

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Split!. Located near the historic center but away from the tourist crowds, the location is fantastic, there are tables both inside and outside. The service was perfect, the waiters and the owner were very kind and always available. Excellent food and a choice of very good quality wines, highly recommended if you are in Split!

Very nice food, excellent service and wines. It’s a bit small so better reserve in advance. The starters servers generous, maybe the main dishes a bit less. Price is fine. Very much recommended!

Excellent wine, great raviolli. Cheese and prosciutto were amazing. The only thing I wouldn't order there is their version of carbonara. The person serving us was very friendly and suggested some great wine pairings. Very romantic vibe of the surrounding area. Definitely worth the visit!

We dropped in here because we heard the wine was good. It really was, but this place has so much to offer, as well as delicious wine: Mattea (please forgive the spelling!) was our knowledgeable and charming waiter. He made us very much at home, taking the time to chat with plenty of knowledge and helpful recommendations for our wine quest. We loved the variety of fine quality wines, but the sharing plate we had came close to stealing the show! The truffle sauce was to die for, along with cured meats, cheeses and almonds. It was only supposed to be an aperitivo, but we left slightly tipsy and well satiated by fine wine, delicious food and superb service. We definitely hope to return.

About 10 min by walk from old Town, with more local vibe. Food is good, service is great and people are friendly which is rare in Split. Their wine collection is impressive. Totally recommend it, as will be away from tourists area and prices are more closer to reality.

Me and my girlfriend ate breakfast there. I have no doubts the dinners and wines are fantastic, reading the other reviews but the breakfast had a lot to wish for. The sausages were cold and dry, the pancakes tasted like they were from the supermarket which they probably were. The pancakes were cold aswell. Usually you have sausages and pancakes like that on some kind of heating device. The juice didn't taste very good either. The service was very good, I wish I could give it 5 stars but for 13 euros for breakfast you can't serve cold, supermarket pancakes.

Is it one ☝️ most beautiful apartment . I am so happy stay one week there very calmly and very very clean. The breakfast are amazing the personnel are very very nice I recommended everyone to book that one you are very close to everything to see and great restaurant.❤️❤️❤️

Went here out of season and it was only me in there the entire time. It’s a super cute restaurant and waiter was so friendly. Food was delicious- expect truly new and unexpected flavours (even as a foodie). Beetroot risotto was UNREAL. Never had that before and it was a new flavour for me, risotto well cooked and I’ll say the fish dish was not for me. It almost too authentic- had that seaweed type fish flavour that’s not to my taste. And not much fish for the price I must admit- more vegetables. They have a HUGE selection of drinks - wines, beers , ciders, gins. So if you like your alcohol I would definitely recommend.

It was the best welcome I have had in any country. I found this amazing place by mistake, and I'm so happy I did. The place is enchanting. The food is so delicious, that's like from another planet. Dora , the waiter, is a very friendly, pleasant, attentive, and even gave some tips about the city. Than you so much, for this culinary experience. I'll definitely will go back.
