First
Impressions
Easy
enough
to
get
to
from
I-90
as
there's
a
center,
bi-directional
turn
lane
that
allows
access.
I
first
turned
in
too
early
and
saw
kids
running
around
playing.
As
it
was
about
1000
PM
this
was
surprising.
When
I
later
pulled
around
to
the
hotel
parking
lot
there
were
fewer
kids
playing
and
some
people
sitting
out
by
an
island
in
the
parking
lot
that
housed
some
trees.
Check
In
Pretty
seamless,
polite
and
friendly.
It
just
took
longer
than
I
thought.
There's
a
sign
with
a
lot
of
policies
in
the
lobby
which
includes
no
pets
and
check
in
after
11:00,
specifically,
11:01,
would
be
charged
either
a
late
fee
or
another
charge
for
an
additional
night.
I
was
given
good
directions
to
the
nearby
elevator
which
had
already
been
called
by
another
guest
who
pressed
the
button
for
my
floor.
The
Room
Itself
At
first
blush,
as
there
were
markings
on
the
top
cover/sheet,
I
thought
the
place
just
needed
some
TLC
as
everything
appeared
to
be
both
clean
and
functional,
on
my
initial
walk
around.
Bathroom
The
toilet
paper
holder
was
odd
as
it
faces
away
from
the
guest
and
the
toilet
sit
protrudes
a
bit
past
the
bowl
but
the
water
pressure
was
good.
The
shower
stall
was
also
atypical
in
that
it
easily
allowed
one
to
sit
which
is
a
nice
option
to
have.
I
later
found
out
that
the
curtain
is
just
short
enough
to
allow
lots
of
water
out
at
the
bottom
so
that's
a
wash.
There
was
a
chunk
out
of
the
sink
basin
which
was
apparent,
but
didn’t
affect
functionality,
of
course.
Bedroom
I
only
found
this
out
later
but
most
of
the
outlets
were
either
too
loose
to
support
a
charging
cable
(the
one
by
the
table)
or
so
loose
as
to
be
provide
inconsistent
charging
(the
ones
closest
to
the
bed).
This
could
definitely
be
an
issue
for
any
sizable
family
but
was
workable
as
I
was
by
myself.
The
climate
controlled
worked
seamlessly.
I
awoke
several
times,
presumably
from
discomfort
from
the
bed,
something
I’ve
only
experienced
once
at
a
hotel
but
not
to
this
degree.
I
awoke
with
back
pain.
Overall
Aesthetic
To
be
blunt,
you
could
easily
say
this
place
looks
uninviting
and
rundown,
especially
the
stairwells
which
are
one
way
use
only,
believe
it
or
not.
Several
doors
were
propped
open
with
large
rocks,
a
wet
floor
sign
was
in
the
elevator
for
no
apparent
reason,
I
saw
two
shopping
carts
outside
of
rooms,
as
well
as
a
broken
window
on
the
first
floor.
There
are
CCTV
cameras,
at
least
I
remember
them
on
the
first
and
third
floors
so
there’s
no
reason
to
think
they’re
aren’t
also
some
on
the
second.
Internet
For
the
life
of
me,
I
could
not
get
a
connection.
I
had
to
call
the
front
desk
twice,
once
for
dispatch
and
once
for
follow
up,
to
get
the
potential
password.
I
say
potential
because
the
employee
couldn’t
find
it
for
sure
but
gave
what
they
thought
it
was.
When
I
input
it,
I
got
browser
messages
from
both
Firefox
and
Chrome
saying
the
web
page
wasn’t
secure.
As
I
was
just
crashing
for
the
night
this
wasn’t
a
huge
deal
but
I
can
totally
see
how
a
couple
and
especially
a
family
with
children,
would
find
this
untenable.
Staffing
Solid
overall
with
one
big
caveat,
and
again,
this
may
be
contextual.
I
made
return
trips
to
my
car
after
midnight
and
noticed
that
the
office
area
was
completely
dark.
I
don’t
know
if
this
one
has
set
hours,
but
I’ve
never
seen
one
in
such
condition.
I’ve
seen
briefly
unattended
decks,
sure
but
not
an
office
with
all
its
lights
out.
That’s
wild
to
me
as
a
hotel
is
usually
accessible
24-7
even
if
it’s
fully
booked.
I
don’t
want
to
get
anyone
in
trouble
as
this
was
the
only
wrinkle
I
observed,
and
didn’t
even
have
to
experience,
but
it’s
very
striking.
Check
Out
Polite,
seamless,
and
faster
than
check
in.
Verdict
If
on
a
brief,
solo
trip,
this
place
could
work
for
you
but
that’s
the
only
context
I
can
advise
in
good
conscience.
Otherwise,
spend
$20
or
so
bucks
more
for
a
presumably
far
more
consistent
experience
that
meets
your
expectations.
Qualified
3/5
but
2/5
unqualified.
