I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Chalet, a delightful Ma and Pa-style restaurant that offers a cozy and relaxing environment. Overall, my experience was positive, although there were a few areas that could benefit from improvement. The ambiance of The Chalet is undeniably welcoming, providing a comfortable setting that invites guests to unwind. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it a great place to spend time with friends and family. The restaurant exudes a charming character that adds to the overall dining experience. The standout feature of The Chalet is its fantastic employees. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and genuinely strive to make guests feel at home. Their warm hospitality and excellent service contribute to the overall positive experience. In terms of pricing, The Chalet falls within the average range for similar establishments. It offers good value for the quality of food and service provided, making it accessible for a wide range of budgets. However, I must mention one area that needs attention: the booth seats. Unfortunately, the current seating arrangements are uncomfortable and could benefit from replacement or refurbishment. This small improvement would significantly enhance the overall dining experience and ensure that guests can fully enjoy their meals without discomfort. Despite this minor drawback, The Chalet remains a charming and inviting establishment, perfect for those seeking a cozy dining experience with great service. I would recommend it for casual gatherings and enjoying delicious meals in a relaxed atmosphere. Please note that this review is based on my personal experience, and your mileage may vary. Nonetheless, I hope it helps provide insights for prospective visitors to The Chalet.

I ordered a what they call generous portion liver and onions for 13.49. What they brought to the table was a piece of liver the size of a sausage patty. I immediately said that is not a generous portion and she asked me if a wanted a dinner roll. It was over cooked and tough. I was offered nothing for my dissatisfaction. The only thing they said is that normally they are bigger and ther piece does look small. I will never go back again and I wouldn't if I were you.

I'd like to express my appreciation for the outstanding service we experienced today at the Chalet. In these post-Covid times, where understaffing and poor customer service are common, the Chalet proved to be an exception. I had breakfast with my three sons, and we were promptly seated. Our server, Lizzie, quickly took our order, and our food was served within 10 minutes. Throughout our meal, we were consistently checked on. To the Chalet team: Your performance is commendable; keep up the great work!

The food is good and the service is iffy, depending on who's waiting on you. Today the waitress waiting on me brought me my check five minutes after serving me my food. She made no eye contact with me, but did with her other patrons. Maybe it's because I was the only person of color there, either way, I won't be dining here again.

I am typically not the type to leave a 1-star review, but we were so very disappointed with our meal. I got the turkey dinner and what I received was subpar at best. Two thin slices of what looked and tasted like deli meat atop soggy, mushy, flavorless stuffing smothered in brown gravy. The mashed potatoes advertised as included in the meal are in fact NOT included. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and was very upset to see they had smothered his food in brown gravy rather than the traditional (and photo advertized) country gravy. My boys got the cod and salmon and while they said it tasted ok, the portions were so small, I ended up having to cook them another meal. Very disappointed it cost us over $80 to feed a family of four GARBAGE.

My fiancée found this place while delivering for Door Dash and we decided to give it a try. We were very impressed! We have returned three times now and have even brought friends and family. When I came onto Google to leave a review for this lovely little joint I was shocked. Shocked at the price increase? I guess no one has heard of inflation. Portions small? Surprise! They’re actually a standard size and everywhere else has been over feeding us. Some of the reviewers act like they can do better and their s**t don’t stink. Also, I highly recommend the honey mustard

I have been coming here for over 20 years and have never had an issue except my last 2 visits. Last time I ordered eggs Benedict they served it with fried eggs, when I returned it and asked for poached eggs it was served with fried eggs a second time. Today I ordered over easy eggs and was given eggs that were so over cooked they barely had any yoke run out of them. I would recommend trying somewhere else if you like eggs as much as I do with your breakfast.

Just like everywhere else. This place used to be great. But now the price is not worth what you get. The prices have gone way up and the portions have gotten way smaller. The food is just ok. It always has been. Nothing special. But the value was what made this place special. But now that's gone too. So sad . All the good old mom and pop places are going down the drain. If they want to stay in business . They need to remember what made them worth going to in the first place. And that was good value and good portion size. And giving there customers a place to go to get a good meal and a good deal....🤔🙄

Went there to celebrate my mom's 86th bday. Service was AWESOME 👍, FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE, restaurant was just as my mom remembered when my dad was alive. Our youngest daughter was REALLY late and they made sure to still take their order and cook up the good even though it was really close to closing time. Love this place!!

In all seriousness guys try to google the following query "medium rare vs well done steak", you may find some truly shocking information like: the Science didn't lie, there is a DIFFERENCE between these two. Now, let's talk about certain ingredients and stereotypes around them. Like salt for example. There is no salt in most of your dishes, at least I couldn't find any with the one exception -- that chili soup of yours! That one tasted like pure brine with the hint of chili. Also, I don't know how but you did manage to create a good looking (I give you that) burger in which most tasteless part was a beef patty. You know what happens with the human soul when its owner bites into your burger? Sadness. Sadness happens my friends and you can't fix it with ketchup. You're effectively serve sadness. Was that your goal in life? SMH

Busy late Sunday morning, but we got sat right away with quick service. Food was great although the bacon wasn't crispy. Tables and chairs are crowded together, so makes it hard to walk, but we will definitely go back if we have the chance!

Wow what a great little place! Generous home cooked tasty portions. The pies are extremely delicious. Don't miss out on an old school dining experience. Clean and very polite staff. Worth every penny.

We had breakfast here and it was pretty good. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner. The meat loaf was terrible and the mashed potatoes were so runny (instant?). The salad was just a mix out of a bag (lettuce, purple cabbage and carrots)and starting to turn.

Great place for family friendly, homestyle oriented food in a quiet Spokane neighborhood. Friendly staff, usually very clean. Friendly to single diners as they have bar/diner type seating in addition to tables and booths. Leave room for pie or take it to go, you won't regret it! Cheers!

Super cute place, but once we were sat the server seemed very rushed to get us in and out. Quite pricey for the food we received, with 3 of the 4 things we got being over cooked. It was still super cute place and the food was alright, but i wont be rushing to come back

Service was wonderful. The server was on the ball and so accommodating! Initially got our party size wrong and had to move to a bigger table but the server was great! Food was wonderful and such a fun atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go back!

We had a large group with special needs come in on a Sunday afternoon. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I reluctantly ordered biscuits and gravy expecting what every other restaurant serves; lukewarm gravy over a dry biscuit. To my surprise, when setting down my plate, the waitress warned that it was hot...and it was. Hot plate, hot gravy and hot sausage, and it was great. No complaints whatsoever.

Just mediocre food. Not very nice inside. Had Chicken Fried Steak, supposedly made in house as well as the gravy. I don't see how this place has stayed in business for so long. My son wanted to try it for his birthday, don't eat here for a special occasion, or any other. The server was excellent. I'm never going back.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was very happy with the food and service. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs. I ordered the eggs over medium and white bread toast. The eggs, hash, and hashbrowns were all cooked just right. I hate runny egg whites but I also don't like over cooked eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The hash and hashbrowns were also cooked perfectly in my opinion. Now I'm not a small guy but there was quite a bit of food so I left happy. I will definitely be eating here again.

I take my dad and mom hear on a regular basis. They keep this place CLEAN, the servers and support staff are exemplary. The food is hot and well prepared. Never a bad experience

The restaurant itself is clean and roomy. Compare to other diner I have been this restaurant is just fine in taste, aesthetic and presentation. However the 4 star represent the one of the item is a little burnt and too crunchy for my taste. But service is great and the server was attentive to our needs. I will come again for sure.

Cute breakfast spot with all of your favorite breakfast dishes. Food was tasty, but the atmosphere is what makes it. Nice high ceiling and decor that evokes...a chalet 😅 in the Alps. Definitely recommend and glad I got to visit.

Cutest litter restaurant ever! They had AMAZING service and all employees had a smile on their face the food came fast and was delivered as well. The bun on my burger was PHENOMENAL. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!

The food is pretty good, its what you would expect from a local breakfast restaurant. You can see that it is prepared and served with care. Ita a quieter place with an older crowd. Kids are welcome.

My family and I eat here for breakfast a few times a month. They have good breakfast food, and it’s affordable. They can get quite busy on Sundays, but I can always count on their waffles or eggs benedict. Sometimes the eggs benny isn’t runny like it’s supposed to be, but that’s okay. Very friendly staff.

My wife and I used to love coming here. This place has the best food period. Expecially the salmon. Now since the price hike. Nevermind.. Can't afford to go here anymore. Come on $60 bucks for two dinners and two soft drinks. Thats not including tip.. This is the place I proposed to my wife 10 years ago.. If you can afford the price hike, I still recommend this place...

I've always loved this place. Great, non-fussy food and not a hipster in sight. We've never had anything but excellent, friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Love the booths. Love the carpet. Love the high ceiling. Love being able to hear the person across from you, which is impossible in the modern glass/concrete/metal places like across the street. (Makes sense though if you're only looking at a screen.) Call me old! I'll take it! If I had to complain about anything, it might be time to up the coffee game - not sure the food service / Farmer Brothers stuff is cutting it these days. Not a deal breaker. I like tea too.

The interior design of this place really reminded me of something else deli. Anyways, I split a burger and fries with my son for 20 bucks. It was a good lunch, but after 6 years of curiosity about the place it ended up being a pretty standard diner. Good quick service. The parking situation in that lot is a mess tho. People literally parking in between lines and blocking up the lane next to the exit haha
