Inconsistent; evidently not ready for July weekend volume. The location is great for walking adventures with the kids to Spokane's terrific riverside parks. The pool is lovely, though it opens later than the posted time (10:00, not 9:00). The hotel was understaffed. The front desk only occasionally answered the phone, and there was no information about the hotel in our room. The shower soap was depleted, and the manager/supervisor who delivered it later did not hide that he had more important things to do. Garbage removal by request only. One morning's worth of coffee for a three-night stay. No luggage carts at the door. Pool towels didn't get stocked til noon. Broken glass in the guest parking lot. The one bright spot in the hotel staff was the restaurant -- at breakfast the servers were running, but they were cheerful and helpful.

my employer had our Christmas party here last Saturday. We decided to stay the night, the party was lovely, and the room was clean. the problem I have is waking up to our car window smashed out on our Audi in the parking lot. I left no valuables, and there was nothing to steal. I approached the front desk about this and another patron next to me said it happened to them that night as well. She was a single lady traveling with kids to Montana, now with a broken window. At this time, I was hoping to get some help from the hotel. I asked what could be done and they responded with "We are not liable, but we can vacuum out the broken glass for you". I asked if there were cameras and they responded with "You can talk to security if you like". My employer books our Christmas party here every year and books hotel rooms for those that want one. The response from the front desk was cold and insincere. I was planning on taking my wife to breakfast, instead I cleaned out the broken glass in my car in the cold and put a temporary plastic over the window due to the poor weather. I have stayed in less quality of hotels with better assistance and help. Centennial hotel, your image may be nice warm and inviting. But your staff and level of professionalism is severely lacking.

Our room was awesome, very clean. The waterfall shower was heaven. Endless supply of shampoo, body wash, conditioner and lotion. We were in the East wing with a beautiful view. Our TV wasn’t working and they graciously switched our rooms. Food and service was good in their restaurant. We walked down the trail right next to the hotel and spent most our time at a really fun park. Walked across the bridge into the city to find food and Starbucks. And walked to and from The Arena for a show. We had an awesome trip and it was a great place to stay!

Stayed here for my graduation in Spokane and it was lovely. Private balcony, large rooms, pool with a waterfall and pet friendly. Super quiet even though there are kids in the hotel. The service and location is awesome, restaurant is good. (hotel food prices though, obviously) Right next to all the good food and walking trails in Spokane.

We stay at the Centennial every time we visit Spokane and have never had bad service or rooms. The rooms are a tad outdated but always clean! We will opt for the suites that face the water, which has a very comfortable, large, shared patio area where the sounds and sights of the water leave us relaxed after a busy day. On our last visit, we ordered room service and had chicken strips. SO good! The person we spoke to and delivered was so kind! The only negative is that there are not enough plug ins. Would be very nice to have a few on the lamp or wall for laptops, phones, cameras, etc. We struggled to find any. This did not damper our experience. All of our future stays will be the Centennial!

For our toddler's 3rd birthday, my husband and I decided to take our children to Spokane to attend the Monster Jam event at the arena. We were excited to spend some quality time with our family and explore the city. After researching various lodging options, we ultimately chose to stay at the Centennial Hotel Spokane. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hotel's stunning architecture and sleek design. The lobby was spacious and modern, with plenty of seating areas and natural light pouring in. The walking trail that leads to the park and different places was an extra bonus. As we checked in, the staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was located on one of the higher floors and offered breathtaking views of the city skyline. The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and plush linens. Throughout our stay, we took advantage of the hotel's amenities, including the fitness center and on-site restaurant. We also appreciated the hotel's convenient location, which made it easy for us to explore the city and attend the Monster Jam event. The only problem I had was the guest before I left pills in the hotel room we were staying. I was happy none of my children got to them. The cleaners must have overlooked it because the room was cleaned. Overall, our stay at the Centennial Hotel Spokane exceeded our expectations and made our family trip even more memorable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Spokane.

It was an ok stay. Nice view. Quiet. Easy parking, though there is a fee. Easy to book at the last minute. The comforter was clean but stained, and the microwave worked briefly and then never again. We were advised at check in that rooms weren’t being serviced for multi-night guests, but we could request anything we needed. We requested fresh towels, but the were never delivered. At check out, there wasn’t the typical “how was your stay” question, so I mentioned the non-functioning microwave. The response was “I’ll let them know.” We’ll explore other options next trip.

Could not recommend a stay at The Centennial more! The experience was super smooth from booking to check out and the staff was so friendly and professional. There is also a great text service that you’re opted into where we received reminders and announcements. This was crucial for the second half of our stay, when a wildfire broke out in one of the neighboring communities and our air quality became seriously compromised. Location is ideal - just across the street from Riverfront Park, where there’s tons to do and an event venue. The hotel itself was lovely! Rooms were super spacious, updated, clean, and well kept. We were on the short side of the hotel and had a great view of the Riverfront Park Pavilion. The pool is stunning - despite the few days of poor air quality, we were glad to enjoy. 10 outta 10! I didn’t take too many photos - just the swanky lobby ceiling and the wonderful pool. And the view from our room (as the smoke was rolling in).

This hotel was pretty nice. We were able to bring our dog, and there was a sliding glass door that led to an outside grassy area. This hotel had very comfortable beds and good soap in their bathrooms. They also have a nice pool that gets to be around 8 feet deep or something like that. Also we enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which had plenty of gluten-free options for my family!

After reading some negative reviews, I was hesitant. But, what a great two nights. Pleasant staff, ample parking. Very comfortable room. Love that the trail for the river park is right outside hotel. Large pool outdoors. I thought the size of our room on 5th floor was very adequate. Two queen beds, nice decor. So enjoyed the historic Davenport for cocktails and lunch; easy walking distance, not to mention the mall.

We had our 5 yr old grandson with us and we were celebrating our 43rd anniversary. Saw the flash price sale so we booked a room. We all had such a great time. Great room overlooking the pool and park, the view was fantastic. We love love loved the pool and spent a lot of time there. Enjoyed a casual dinner and great complimentary breakfast in the restaurant. Walked right off the premises into the park, so easily accessible. Wonderful experience, would definitely go back!

I used to stay here from time to time when this hotel was owned by the Red Lion. No offense to that fine corporation but WOW! The fine folks at the Davenport have done an incredible job with the remodel of this centrally located downtown beauty! Incredibly comfortable beds, well designed and appointed rooms with features that create a very quiet, restful stay. The shower design is lovely. The only issue we experienced was that our wall dispensers ran out of both lotion and conditioner... Check those upon arrival and telephone the front desk right away so you'll be ready for your morning shower. Fantastic pool, great access to Riverfront Park, and all at a VERY affordable price. I highly recommend the Centennial for your next Spokane getaway! P.S. Feel free to drink the bottled water... it's complimentary. 😉

Lovely I went here last year to stay for three days and will be coming back again for a school event. The staff was fun and overall nice, the rooms were very nice as well. My one issue was the showers. The water would very easily get out of the shower and get all over the floor. Other then that, I enjoyed my stay.

My friend and I stayed with this hotel for only one night but it was really nice! Easy early check in, very friendly staff, and beautiful view with the pool and trees outside our window as well as a light up colorful structure visible from our beds. Our only small problem was our TV remote stopped working after trying to switch channels. We could have asked for help at the 24 hour front desk, but it wasn’t a big deal. Thank you for a great stay!

We have stayed here twice once just as a couple and again a month later with our kids. Great location to the arena which was great since we were going to events there both times we stayed. Loved that it was within walking distance to a lot of fun things to do. Will stay here again for sure. Only down fall was the hvac system didn’t cool the rooms very well.

The customer service really shines! Staff are so friendly, genuine, knowledgeable, and concerned about customer experience. Rooms are pristine, fresh and well appointed. Beds, pillows and linens very comfy. The pool and onsite restaurant are such a bonus. And the location for a Spokane visit couldn't be better. Being right on the river and park makes for a pleasant, close, and easy walk to downtown and many activities and restaurant. A good value overall. [My only disappointment, as with sooo many hotels these days, is the "resort fee" charged for pool, gym, coffee kcups and water provided in the rooms]

After a late night flight cancellation and not flying until the afternoon the next day being from out of town my son and I were grateful for a room at the Centennial Inn. The later check out and access to the fantastic pool gave us time to settle in and have some fun before the next leg of our extended trip. Very comfy beds, wonderfully clean, bright and fresh smelling room we felt very relaxed and cozy. Happy to have the bottled water available and Starbucks coffee shop in the lobby. Location was fantastic!!! We were easily able to get outside and stroll Riverfront Park in the evening to stretch our legs and see the sights, even though it was dark out. Wonderful park!! The ONLY thing I would change is that there are no separate lights at each bed but just one very bright lamp between the beds. My son wanted to read while I went to bed and the central lamp was far too bright. Reading lights would be nice. Thank you We will be back.

The pool is so cool. The location is great. There’s a paved trail that runs along the river and is adjacent to the very large hotel. It’s kind of resort-like with the restaurant and pool, beautiful exercise room and the trail which is semi wooded. We walked into a nice downtown area at night and felt safe. Lots of restaurants to choose from. I’d definitely stay again. We were upgraded to a room in the 9th floor and even though it was quite far from the pool, the view was spectacular!! Be aware that you are charged for using the coffee pods and water bottles in the rooms

A hotel in a great location. A great place to start your vacation. Many pedestrian and bike trails all around. With many restaurants, bakerys and coffee shops to be found. The hotel offers comfortable bicycles that are free. It's a 2 hour limit, not enough time for everything to see. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. Providing information on navigating all the trails, it's very useful. Our room, 802 offered a nice view and mostly was fine. Except the shower which had a half door and leaked, a poor design. Overall we were happy with our deal and could not ask for more. Wait, yes we did, an extra towel for the floor.

I stayed here with my best friend on her birthday. I booked a balcony room with a king bed. The room was pretty small for the price. They said I would have a "river view" but it was most definitely a pool view and we could hear the people at the pool until 9pm. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The bathrooms are super small but have everything you need. Overall I think I would find somewhere else for the price I paid but this is a great hotel. You have to pay for parking and its right off a very public trail that is accessible to the whole town. Beautiful hotel but I believe there are better options for the price

I’ve stayed here for the last two nights. After checking in I found a half empty bottle of Diet Pepsi in the refrigerator, and a lid from a can of hair spray under the desk. Before I went to bed I moved the box of tissue from the bathroom to the night stand and the bathroom counter underneath was filthy. (See pictures) After getting up the first morning I left the hotel about 10 AM and returned about 3:30 PM and the room hadn’t been cleaned. Before I left for dinner, I called housekeeping and ask if I could get maid service, they ask if I needed towels, I said yes and they ask what else and I said housekeeping services. When I returned several hours later they had taken away the dirty towels but had just stacked the new ones haphazardly on the shelf instead of hanging them up, (see pictures) the bed was still unmade and the bathroom counter where the tissue box was hadn’t been cleaned. Today I was gone from the room most of the day and once again the room wasn’t cleaned. Apparently they do not have daily maid service and you must be very specific about what you want if you call for housekeeping. So if you want more toilet paper, coffee, tea, bottled water, coffee cups, creamer, sugar, etc. you need to ask for it. Other cons were that the lack of water pressure in the shower made it almost impossible to rinse the shampoo from my hair, and I found it odd there was no shelf in the shower to put personal toiletries on. I check out tomorrow hopefully they will clean the bathroom counter before the next guest, or maybe they will just but the tissue box back over it. The reason I am giving two stars instead of just one is the wonderful, friendly staff members at the front desk who checked us in and helped me with a few other items, I would give them five stars. The microwave and refrigerator in the room are a plus, and the pool and grounds are lovely. But, I wouldn’t pay to stay here again.

Nice location, central to waterfront Spokane. Room was decent and new bathroom was a nice experience. Would’ve like actual milk/cream with coffee rather than non-dairy whitener. We used the complementary bikes for an evening stroll which was a fun time as well, and brand new good quality bikes too.

As always, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The front desk service is outstanding and did us a big favor by allowing us to check in early. We had a mid-afternoon medical appointment and by checking in early we were able to dump our suitcases, relax, and easily got to our destination. The food was also top shelf. Thanks again!

When paying the price they charge, you expect a wonderful stay. That was not our experience. They allowed a party to go on loudly in the room across from us until 1 AM, which spread to the hallway many times. They charged us 15 dollars to park there on top of the expensive room, but my car was broken into and ransacked. Lost a 600 dollar camera in that. They offer no complimentary breakfast of any sort. There is no pressure in the shower. And I have contacted them through email and on their own survey they asked for with no response to the issues. Room was clean with a basic balcony, those are about the only nice things to be said.

  • 2/5 Chad C. 6 months ago on Google
The room was not particularly clean, the floor was not vacuumed and there was hair from either staff or previous guests all over the bathroom. Charged for parking charged for wifi, room service had mandatory gratuity and a delivery fee. The decor was ostentatious and the motel is not maintained well. I have stayed at 1 star hotels that were cleaner and with a lot friendlier staff. I would stay elsewhere if in town again.

I will write only facts about my experience. The hotel itself wasn't bad or good, just ordinary. The location was great and there was a good trail nearby. BUT one very important fact. We ate at the restaurant twice and used our credit card and were charged the incorrect amount. Anyone can make a mistake so we asked our credit card company to investigate the matter. But as you can see in the attached picture, the restaurant made up a receipt stating the charged amount was correct and submitted to the credit card company and the credit card company closed the case and sided with the restaurant. Thankfully I saved the original receipts I received at the restaurant. I requested to reopen the case with the receipt I had. The restaurant couldn't provide the original receipt they gave us and in the end the credit card company sided with us. After making a mistake, the hotel restaurant/hotel didn't take responsibility but rather provided falsified documents to the credit card company. If you do decide to stay here, be aware and save all your receipts.

This was a great place to ring in the new yr. Only thing that didn’t work for me was the shower. I enjoy the raindrop shower concept but the shower is tiny with no door so water everywhere. Also, as someone who doesn’t wash my hair daily, it was tricky taking a shower. An optional shower handle would solve this problem. Overall a good place to stay.

Hotel charged extra for a poolside room despite pool being closed for winter. Cable didn't work and when asked about it the explanation was "yeah, that's an issue in some rooms, we can't fix it now but if we move you to another room it might work." And heat was terrible. It was well below freezing outside and the heat would NOT keep up. I ended up sleeping in multiple layers just to keep warm. Beds had only duvet with no underblanket for warmth. Worst hotel experience I've had in a long time. Would NOT stay here again.

This place is beautiful and pretty affordable. I would recommend to look up prices online, it comes out much cheaper. Rooms are very nice and filled with nice decor. Our double queens had its own balcony and the views were perfect every night. Gentlemen that helped me was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is a little spendy, I rather grab something from the espresso bar located inside the hotel. Those blueberry muffins are delicious!! Other than that I would come again it was a great experience.

I loved the Centennial Hotel in Spokane, Washington. The room was spotless. It was a delight to walk in and see the gleaming walls in the bathroom, the shining white floor in the shower. Staff was immediately responsive to any request I made of them. Parking was very convenient to a separate door so I didn’t have to go through the lobby every time I came and went. I highly recommend the Centennial.

  • 5/5 Candice S. 2 years ago on Google
Check in was smooth. They had rental scooters by the front doors of the lobby. Room was modern, clean and had a keurig with Starbucks k cups(extra star). Ate at the restaurant in hotel, breakfast and dinner. We had an event at Spokane convention center, took us 9 minutes to walk to. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at and would go back again.

We had an excellent stay at the Centennial Hotel! We booked five rooms as several families were traveling together. Parking was great, the rooms were very clean and the beds so comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Our waitress provided us with amazing and kind service. She had so much patience for our large group. The hotel is conveniently located near the riverfront park so after breakfast, we walked over to the park and spent some time there. Such a family-friendly location! We will be back!

Staff friendly and nice. Beautiful modern room and bed was comfy!! Here’s the issue we had: not once in our 5 day stay had our sheets cleaned, they openly say they don’t do daily cleans, which is fine, but we asked them on Saturday (day 2) to change them and was told they would change on Monday (day 4) but it never happened. We cleaned out our trash from our room. For the money we spent, we just asked to have our sheets cleaned at least once but were not. Would stay again but you have to be persistent with staff to get anything.

Renovated a few years back. This is an amazing place! Big luxurious rooms that are super clean. The pool is amazing with a waterfall. The real bonus is the window view facing the river and 74' Expo. It's a step right out the back and provides an amazing evening of views and things to do. Best Hotel in Spokane!

This hotel is centrally located to the downtown district. Easy walking distance to downtown and has a great bridge over to the River Park. The decor is really funky, it is literally black and white striped everywhere there is not one ounce of color. The food is very good, try the black and blue medallions . Zach the bartender is a artist, highly skilled and a fun guy to talk to.

Loved this hotel!! Not that appealing from the outside but once inside it is soooo nice!! Very clean hotel, you can tell thy take pride in what and how they do things which is so nice! Our room was SUPER clean , spacious, beautiful and with comfy beds. Pool was really nice but crowded all the time. No Hot tub which I was disappointed by!! Also they have only one guest laundry room for this huge hotel and its placement for it isn't ideal. Restaurant and food court area look really nice but we never went to either during our stay. All in all we really liked our stay there and would highly recommend it!!

  • 4/5 Robin S. 1 year ago on Google
First off, the hotel itself is lovely. The location is unmatched. You are right in the hub of activities in Spokane but on the other side of the river, just a walk over the bridge, so it is quieter than being right in town. We stayed here about 5 years ago and were very impressed at that time. The reason for not giving 5 stars is that there is an underlying feeling that they are struggling. That shows up in little things. The staff was GREAT. Very helpful and accommodating. I hope they can figure out whatever it is and thrive, because we just love this hotel for the location and atmosphere.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was no noise to be heard from the adjacent rooms. The restaurant waitresses were the best I've dealt with ever. We ate breakfast and dinner on December 22 and the bartender on the same day made great cocktails. We will definitely be choosing The Centennial again in the future.

In Spokane for a 3-day basketball tourney, we choose this hotel primarily for its location and dog friendly rooms. The hotel was easy to find, quick and easy check in, and served its purpose. We loved being able to walk right out of our room to walk the park and trail. Probably wouldn't stay here if you're looking to enjoy the amenities and vacation though, definitely an old hotel they slapped lipstick on and called it good. The room was dusty, decor is somewhat modern but windows/ sliding doors are single pane and old. The sliding door was difficult to open and close with the frequency we were taking the dog out. It was snowing then sunny, so the temp in the room was difficult to regulate and the air system seemed unusually loud. The east side lawn has a lot of foot traffic being on the trail which was fine, except for at night when it became unsafe. We witnessed groups of "locals" on foot and bicycle accessing the parking lot from the trail to prowl every night. Although the parking lot is gated, its still accessible and we definitely saw broken glass from a previous break in. The room did its job though, nothing luxurious or extraordinary about it. We didn't get to eat at the restaurant, we attempted to get a late breakfast/early lunch on Sunday and were told they were closed only offering a buffet breakfast which was fruit, juices, small muffins, and scrambled eggs for $18 - not worth it. The coffee stand in the lobby was reasonable and a better deal for what you get. We prepaid for our room and did notice the $100 difference in final price than how it was being advertised. Aside from the additional $50 + tax fee for the dog, there weren't unexpected charges at check out.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here to attend a concert at the nearby Arena and this place was beautiful! The lobby was incredible, the staff were friendly and my family loved the food they got at the restaurant (I have food allergies so I am unable to order at basically all restaurants 😅)! The Keurig was broken in the room we stayed in, but otherwise the room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable, shower got super hot and the location was seriously perfect. ☺️

  • 5/5 Athena M. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice. Front desk was friendly, both at check in and out. Room was clean, view was the parking lot, but I wasn't there for a view. Lots of room to park, easily accessible hotel. Multiple wheelchair friendly entrances. Shower had good pressure without being uncomfortable. See attached picture. Will return in the future.

Great location walking distance to downtown, river, food, and great kids park. Has a good size pool. Friendly staff. Rooms are small size with even smaller shower, they did this new design where it’s half glass in so all the steam and heat gets out. If your a big guy it’s a tight squeeze. Dog friendly hotel this is great for dog owners but those who don’t have animals or aren’t expected to be bit by fleas (which happen to me) they ll put a animal in any room. Which makes me think how much chemicals are they spraying the beds to insure there’s no bugs from the animals. Should designate certain rooms for guests with pets so people don’t wake up to animal hair and bites.
