Located in the heart of downtown Spokane, this hotel is in easy walking distance of restaurants, breweries, wine tasting, the mall, Riverfront Park and the symphony at the Fox Theater. Although the restaurant in the hotel looked great, we ate at other nearby Davenport facilities - brunch at the Historic Davenport and dinner at the Post Street Ale House. The room was well kept and comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi in the basement was great. Please kick "like" if this review was useful to you - I like the feedback.

The Davenport Tower is where I stay every time I travel to Spokane, two to three times a year. I am not sure, but perhaps due to the pandemic, things are changing. On my last two trips, the service isn't the same; it has gone downhill. Upon check-in, I was told there was no room service and that if I needed anything, to let the front desk know, and they would have someone take care of it. I need clean linen and fresh towels daily; the restaurant, which has always been a go-to rather than stepping out in the town, has had its service go down. Wait times for ordering or paying were just way too long. I had a manager apologize for the inconvenience. Still, at the same time, I understood the lack of staff and new employees being slower, so jump in and helped them out rather than stand around looking upset so that everyone in the restaurant saw there was a problem. I'll give it one more shot on my next trip, but if it doesn't get better, I'll probably take my business elsewhere.

Be cautious staying at this hotel. For the high cost, you will be disappointed. We checked in early and the front desk told us the lock had just been changed on our room and said the room was ready. We went up to the room and noticed the door was being held open. Was a bit eerie but we went into the room anyway. We noticed it seemed clean enough other than the pile of sawdust left on the floor from the lock replacement. The keys we were given didn’t work so we went back downstairs for new ones. We turned on our do not disturb for the whole weekend yet housekeeping entered our room anyway and took all of our towels without replacing them. It took them about a half an hour to bring new ones, which one of them was stained and disgusting. We spoke to a manager that night and we were happy with the compensation given for this experience. However, that same night we were getting ready for bed and noticed that our comforter was filthy. We called the desk and asked for a new one. We were given another one that was even more disgusting. It looks like mildew all over it. We asked again for another blanket. The hotel told us they walked to the other hotel to get us a “brand new” blanket. It was the same exact thing. Full of mildew. We slept with a sheet that night. On Sunday, they told us there were no managers available to speak to on the weekend even though we had spoken to one the night before. We then got a call from the manager who was unwilling to reimburse us for this trip that was filled with issues. He also tried making excuse after excuse for the disgusting blankets. He told us the blankets are “aged” and the “feathers are burnt” inside the comforter. Look at the pictures for yourself. The comforters had 0 feathers in them. Paying $800+ for a weekend at a hotel you would expect it to be much better than this. We would have gotten better service at a motel 6 and we will never stay here again. We made sure to let all of our local friends know as well. Absolutely disgusting.

Good downtown location with plenty in walking distance. The rooms seemed clean and comfortable. The rooms are slightly dated seeming, but not terrible. The bar/restaurant downstairs has decent selection and the servers were attentive. There is also a coffee shop on the lobby area. Walk to plenty of attractions and easy access to public transportation.

Well this was a stop gap hotel between places. After a very long drive with kids in tow. I just wanted to find a place to sleep well. We stopped at cheaper hotel, and it turned out to be a little sketchy. So after a little digging we found this little gem in the heart of DT Spokane. Turned out to be a much better hotel with better amenities, and a much more comfortable sleep 💤 . Although after walking across the street to the other Davenport hotel, I wished I had stayed there, it looked much nicer with a old world feel, like 1915 American Royalty. Either or; i would highly recommend to any traveler passing through wanting a safe, and comfortable stay, with no worries.

It was so much fun there! There is a pool which is very clean! The room we rented had 2 queen sized beds and they came with 4 pillows.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a dirty rag/cloth left in our room. I communicated that to the front desk staff and asked if I could either swap rooms or get some points for the inconvenience. I was told no and that the only option would be to have the cleaning crew come to the room to remove it. Left for dinner and came back two hours later to still find the rag in the room despite being told it would be taken care of soon after I left. The rag was one thing, but the rudeness of the staff when I was trying to communicate the issue to them left a lasting impression. Besides that, our bed was lopsided (my feet were higher than my head when laying down). I would choose another location for my next trip to Spokane.

The hotel is gorgeous. Only issue is the dust in our room and how thin the walls are. We could hear everything going on in the room next to us. The view is incredible though

What a super sweet hotel. The motif is African safari-everywhere! Friendly folks and great food at the bar. Some of the biggest wings I’ve ever had and they were great. Clean and clean roomy rooms too!

Rooms are spacious and fairly updated. Hotel seems really well built, older building and rooms were pretty quiet. Great location in down town Spokane.

Awesome room, location and gym. I needed to stay an extra night because I booked my outgoing flight incorrectly and I asked the staff if they could extend my room stay another day and I was told no. That's fine it, I understand that happens. There was however no follow up with the staff recommending a fix or accommodations, or even pointing me in the right direction, just a "No, sorry"

This was my 2nd stay at a Davenport Hotel. The first one was across the street from here. This hotel is very nice. Great service and decent restaurant and bar. Our room overall was very nice. Great lighting and a nice big shower with very good water pressure. My only real complaint was the towels. For a luxury hotel, I think they could have towels that weren't scratchy.

We have stayed here many times before without an issue, but this time seemed off, everything was just not as clean as before. Someone told me the owner’s changed so maybe that was the issue? The pool was dirty, the coffee machine unclean…a random wire? Idk nobody checked on us, when i called the front desk asking for help, they where quick to just send me somewhere else instead of trying to solve the problem. Sadly we will not be back after this trip. Edit: we just asked for water bottles and where informed we need to be charged for them, even though we didn’t have house keeping today, i told him “we didn’t get our room serviced, this has not been a good experience” his reply “yup, ill send housekeeping with water and charge your account” and hung up ….🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ House keeping came, i asked how much i would be charged per bottle (i asked for two) he looked at me like i was confused, and answered “its free” Basically sums up our weekend here, will not be back

I decided to rent the honeymoon suite for a night to unwind and destress, treat myself. Upon enter the room, my first impression was of the strong perfume from the previous guest. Moving further inside, I noticed coffee splattered all over the cabinet doors in front of the coffee machine, as well as up onto the ceiling and recessed light above. There were bloody looking finger prints on the light switch next to the sink as well as the closet door. The lighting is so dim throughout this entire unit, I wondered how anyone is able to see it to clean it properly. Bed scarves should be completely done away with as all they do is catch fluids and stains. Later on, while using the jacuzzi tub - which is the highlight of this room- the handle broke off in my hand as I turned it to the hot setting. We tried to order room service, but there was no QR code in the room to scan for it, and that is the only way to order room service now. The front desk staff could not assist us in fixing this problem. I ended up ordering food to go from the Palm Court and picking it up across the street, which defeats the entire purpose of room service. For the money spent and considering my Marriott Titanium status, I am very disappointed that this was what I experienced. Marriott service and standards need to be focused on a lot more at this property. Room checks and a deep cleaning/PM regiment should be implemented as well.

It started an okay experience. But when we reached our honeymoon suite the door wouldn't fridge door wouldn't close due to the freezer being too dirty and frozen over. The freezer had never been cleaned and was most likely the cleanest part of our room. When we set up our laptop to Skype our friends and plan our weekend, we learned that the hotel DID NOT include the WiFi that it claimed it had. This is a serious issue that we should've been informed of when we checked in on Monday. I choose Davenport because it is small and local. I want a Hotel that focuses on satisfying individuals. I feel like the Davenport is getting too big to care.

Had to wait until after 9pm to watch any TV, due to the service being down. Then there was no room service menues in the room and couldnt call down to the restaurant cause we had no qr code to scan. So had to go down to the restaurant to order, then there was a $5 delivery charge on top of an 18% gratuity charge. The tv was on the opposite side of the room from the bed so couldn't really see it. Over all it was not worth the money and I'll never come back or refer anyone stay here.

I had explained that I was cash only over the phone, then in person, I was told that I can't even make my reservations with cash. Why? Why canI't pay for the room for the 3 nights in February? Why do you need a card on file, when I'm paying for all 3 nights now? You are refusing American currency in America. Shame on you.

Front desk and valet attendants were super helpful and courteous. Rooms are clean and spacious. 1 minor blip was the in room fridge wouldn't close shut because the freezer was iced over. Part of Marriott group. Was able to get Marriott points even though we booked through Traveluro. Free Tesla charging when you use valet. $35 for valet, $25 self parking at garage across the street.

Danielle demonstrates exemplary customer service and exceptional problem-solving skills. Encountering an employee who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is a rarity, and Danielle's dedication truly makes a significant impact. I am profoundly grateful for the outstanding assistance provided by Danielle. Her patience is commendable, and she serves as a model employee whose presence would undoubtedly enhance any company's team.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are modern. The staff is friendly and happy to help. The restaurant is delicious but expensive. Cocktails are (chef's kiss). Pricey though. Dinner was about $75 with an app, salad, and cocktail. If you're opposed to taxidermy you might not be into it. There's a stuffed tiger in the lobby and a Jumanji theme that evokes colonialism. Lots of big cat art. Rooms are shower only as far as I could tell, so if you're looking forward to a bath, it's not going to happen. Could be kid friendly but might be too upscale. Excellent space for a nice dinner or drinks. Parking garage across the street is convenient if you have a car.

HIDDEN FEES! This hotel is very nice. It's in a great location. The rooms are very nice and well kept and the staff is very friendly. My one complaint is that we had to pay 25% more than what we paid online during booking for loads of fees. This practice of charging one thing online and tacking on additional charges once you arrive isn't ethical. Here's the list of fees we were charged: Sales Tax - Rooms Lodging Tax TPA Destination Amenity Fee Sales Tax Destination Amenity Fee Guest Overnight Self Parking Sales Tax

  • 2/5 Chris T. 10 months ago on Google
The low rating is mostly for hidden fees. $11 extra per day for amenities that I don't use. I have never been to a hotel that isn't including that in their room rate. Then, $25 per day for parking. I'll pass on $40 a day hidden charges. The room itself was okay. Wish it had a fridge and a microwave though.

Title: A Memorable Stay at the Davenport Tower Autograph Hotel Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Davenport Tower Autograph Hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the hotel room was an absolute delight. It was not only beautiful but also immaculately clean, which is always appreciated. The shower was a highlight, providing a truly amazing and refreshing experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the spaciousness of the room added to the overall comfort. The view of the city from the room was a wonderful bonus. One of the standout features of my stay was the dining experience. The food was not only excellent but also reasonably priced. It's a rare find to have both quality and affordability in a hotel restaurant. The attention to detail in the decor was remarkable, and I particularly loved the safari wildlife theme of the Davenport Tower Autograph Hotel. It added a unique and intriguing dimension to my stay. While the pool was a bit too cold for swimming, the hot tub provided a relaxing way to unwind. The hotel's location was also a major plus, as it was conveniently close to great restaurants, the mall, and a park, making it easy to explore the city. In summary, my stay at the Davenport Tower Autograph Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the beautifully decorated room to the excellent dining options, it was a memorable experience. I would enthusiastically recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning for another stay in the future. Thank you for making my visit to the city even more enjoyable!

This hotel was fantastic! We had a really bad experience at Triple Play resort and ended up leaving there. We found this hotel in hopes that we could turn our vacation around. This hotel did not disappoint! It is expensive but worth every penny! We had such an amazing experience with our room, the staff, their amazing service and the restaurant. We had the best meal out of 5 days of meals, at their restaurant! The truffle parmesan fries were to die for! I would go back again just for those! Their Alfredo pasta was absolutely amazing as well! They used real chicken breast in it! The hotel was beautiful!! The pool & spa were great as well! We used the gym & it gave a good workout. Definitely worth a stay! Can't wait to come stay again! Wish we would have spent our whole vacation at this hotel!

One of multiple (seven ?!) properties in Spokane with "Davenport" in the name, the Tower is a modern hotel with a lavish lobby area done up in a Safari theme. Our guest room was exceptionally spacious and well-appointed, with a huge walk-in shower (but note: no microwave or mini-fridge).

Amazing hotel. We stayed for one night for a friend’s wedding that was happening 5 hours away from us.When we got to Spokane our room wasn’t ready and we needed to get ready for the wedding right away so we called the hotel and Shyesta Kennedy helped us getting to our room and welcomed us with effectiveness and attentiveness. We also spent some time at the bar in the lobby talking with people after the wedding and had a great time. The room was very nice and clean. Overall a great experience. I totally recommend this hotel !

Second time here. We booked again because the beds are perfect. Went to a concert and knew we would have drinks and it’s walking distance to the venue so we could walk. Planned ahead. Late supper in the Safari bar, I checked and the posted closing time is midnight on Sundays. Got back from event at 11 pm and were told the bar and kitchen are closed. Were given directions to a diner “3 blocks away”. Google maps was not getting us there and it’s dark and cold so we came back. Called 2 pizza places and they don’t deliver. I am eating food that was in my car from my road-trip. I’m less than pleased.

Beautiful hotel. The service was amazing and the room was absolutely spacious. The shower was so large! And the bed was so comfortable! Definitely recommend eating at the bar area and order the cougar cheese with bread! Absolutely delicious!

Being a Marriott Gold Elite member, I sure didn't feel like one. I checked in via the Marriott mobile app, received my digital key. Went straight to the elevator and the elevator would not accept my digital key. Went to the front desk to indicate my digital key wasn't working and was coldly helped by Lexie. She didn't greet me as a Marriott member, rather "here is a key" not do you need two keys and she didn't even indicate what the hotel had to offer. The hallway carpet had pieces of paper that was never vacuumed. The room was dusty, the mirror only had one safety clasp on it that I didn't notice until the next day, thankfully it didn't fall on me in the middle of the night. Pictures added for other room issues. I will say Olivera in the Safari Lounge was my server twice and she is AMAZING, the food and drinks were very good as well. Parking is overpriced, and the elevator needs to be cleaned in the parking garage. Sad to see the Hotel in this state.

Fantastic experience at the Davenport Tower for a birthday weekend! Only downside was obtaining the proper information for a promotional package that was purchased as a part of our reservation. The staff was unaware of the promotion, so we didn't get proper vouchers or dining credits upon check-in. Had to go back multiple times to inquire and resolve. Overall was a super positive experience though!!

Yes, the rooms are nice, bed was comfy, the views are great, and staff is friendly but it's the little things that really stand out. No fridge in room and the little ice buckets are so small a pop can won't fit; the only near/above bed lights are 50 million lumen spotlights right over your head; no bath tub, just tile shower(that was kind of weird), probably the most uncomfortable toilet seat I've ever sat on.

The room I reserved was clean and nice, but for the price was missing a refrigerator. The bartender at the bar was on point and very professional and kept the mood light with good conversation. The bellhop was kind and friendly and professional. The breakfast we prepaid for was terrible. The restaurant treated my wife poorly and served other paying guests at the restaurant first. After 45 minutes of waiting she was handed our meals which were cold and they did not want to redo them as they were to busy to do so, nothing was seasoned at all, the hashed browns were underdone and soggy and the toast had no butter on it and none was offered. Not at all what I would consider professional for the caliber of hotel. We arrived at 2pm and were told our room wasn't ready yet, so the bar was a great choice to eat up some time. Valet parking was professional, but beware unless you want to park across the street in a tiny 25 dollar per night parking lot, you are forced to pay the $35 per night valet which isn't disclosed until checking in. I would stay here again, but I sure hope my wife is treated with respect and that the breakfast is cooked with seasoning and is actually warm when we recieve it.

Pictures are a lie, it definitely is not nearly as nice as the photos. Beds were horrible, way too soft and killed our backs, way past needing replaced. Pool and hot tub are dirty and aged, everything in misrepair, flooring in room was a nasty cheap laminate that killed your feet the staff at front desk were mediocre at best. The only good service is the parking attendants for the Valet were all great. Would definitely save money and stay somewhere else next time. I've been in cheaper chain hotels that are cleaner, more comfortable and have better amenities!!

Don’t let the bells and whistles fool ya. A nice hotel is nothing if you don’t have good service. Poor experience with staff. I showed up at my check in time, waited 2 hours in the lobby just for them to tell me it was going to be another 2 hours before my room was ready. Get it together people. Food was good and drinks were good at the bar.

We have always stayed here at Christmas time when visiting Spokane and its been perfect. We recently visited again in September 2021, and we were so disappointed!!! A freight train runs through the middle of town all night long, no sleep for us, we were on the South side of the building! We are used to Valet service which they didn't have this time, i guess its posted on the web site, but they didn't explain the parking pass and the whole thing was a hassle. The girl at the front desk on the following morning was RUDE, when I asked for compensation for no sleep. She did credit us our parking pass- $22.00. The beds there are amazing, everyone else at the Tower was friendly, and the rooms are always clean, the new floors are cold. The staff at the Davenport pretty much ignored us, and the coffee bar was closed. I don't know how many staff walked by us as we stood at the " please wait to be seated" sign at the dining room!! Other people were eating so we took a table, and STILL were ignored!! Gave up and went to the Peacock Lounge, had coffee, and that was the end of that! Certainly not the experience we usually enjoy. VERY Disappointed!!!

I've been a stalwart Davenport tower loyalist for years. I love the safari style and elegance. But my last visit gave me reason to pause: is the tower losing its way? We waited in the bar after ordering our drinks for 20 minutes before we got our order. The fridge in our room had food stains, the window from the 21st floor had forehead spots and the tub a little grubby. The restaurant menu was limited and tired (and didn't have the legendary Davenport tower cornbeef hash). Ok. A big flag to me was the casual protocol of the staff: I expect a more formal attitude in a place like this. But, we still enjoyed our stay and, causality considered, the staff was very nice. I just pine for the old lofty elegance it once had.

My mother & I recently stayed here and had my brothers wedding rehearsal dinner here. Not only was the room very comfortable and beautiful but the staff was amazing! The manager Travis took care of everything we need to ensure a wonderful evening. The head chef, staff and Travis went above and beyond for us. This was an amazing stress relief as we are from Massachusetts and being 3000 miles away Travis made us feel as ease and was extremely accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again!

We had the worst room service (cleaning) experience ever! They finally provided towels, toilet paper and trash pick up 5 days after we arrived, despitecthe fact that we called the reception desk twice in two days! Too many indigent people around the hotel; somehow we all felt uneasy.

This is a nice hotel but very.... Odd... The rooms are nice but then... Track lighting? Fancy fancy fancy public bathrooms, all automated.... But then a stack of paper towels that go in a dispenser, just in a basket on the counter. Chairs are cool with their snake skin style leather and the art is all safari themed, marble entrance and all that, but no fridge or microwave in the room? The rooms are large but feel empty, even with huge furniture. For a $200 room, I'd expect at least a mini fridge. Even super 8 has that and their rooms are $60 a night. I dunno, it all says "Lots of money" but juxtaposed with weird decor and skimping on lighting. OH and the complimentary shampoo and conditioner are nice, but bolted to the wall in the bathroom. And the heating/ac doesn't seem to be accurate and couldn't keep the room a normal temp. The bed however was super comfortable!!

I booked this room not know what to expect. I was shocked and kind of it of place when we walked in. This hotel is what we call swanky. We had drive 5 hours to get there and looked like we belonged at a motel 6, why lie. The staff that greeted us was very nice. We arrive a night early. They put us in a room that we wouldn't have to change from the next morning. The room was a 2 queen room. Was very spacious and clean. We used valet parking and they were very pleasant and quick to get our car when needed. It was so close to the venue we were there for we actually just walked there.

We stayed on the 8th floor, the elevators are fast but the key card readers are very finicky. This makes it somewhat inconvenient when you are trying to juggle drinks, food, or luggage. The rooms are very clean and decently spacious for the price. However, we were placed directly next to the elevator shafts and they can be extremely loud when they are moving around a lot, not pleasant to be woken up by. The AC is noisy and I don't believe the thermometer as it constantly indicated 66 degrees but it was unpleasantly warm at that reading. The beds had middle sag and the pillows are far too soft and there are no other options like at other places where they have multiple firmness ratings in the room. The shower functioned well and was very pleasant to use. We ate dinner in The Safari Room and even though we came in late they were very friendly and took excellent care of us. My beef fillet was expertly cooked and delicious. All the other meals were just as good. The drinks are spendy but they are well made and the bar staff are fun and inviting. The pool is indoors, which is nice, but it's very small in comparison to the capacity of the hotel. We were able to enjoy it once but the rest of the time it was packed beyond reason. You are definitely in the heart of downtown and there are a ton of things to do within an easy walk. Overall, despite a few gripes, I would stay here again.

Second time staying here. Might have been our room location, #750. I didn't sleep well. A little on the noisy side compared to our last visit. Room was clean. Bed's we're comfy. Staff were friendly. I'd still stay here over the OLD Davenport.

Great rooms, hotel, bar and restaurant. Note that this is a dog friendly hotel which is fine, but the first room had a dog barking next door as soon as we checked in and it was extremely loud in our room. We were quickly moved to another room where it was quiet, but then we started hearing another dog barking quietly late at night. Tried to find where it was coming from and it seemed to be coming from the vent system(?). Never figured out where it was coming from and although it was a bit annoying and not loud at all, we still had a great stay.

I would have given them 5 stars but the sheets on our bed had 2 holes about the size of my pinky. I called the front desk & they offered to change the sheets. It put a little damper on the stay. When I checked out they paid for our self park fee.

The Tower is in a great location. The parking garage across the street is A+ feature to have. The Coffee Shop on site only serves Starbucks, It is Not a Starbucks. And what other reviews said, the elevator card readers are in terrible condition, good luck to everyone on this problem. And the bed pillows, was fighting them the entire weekend. 3 stars becuase the elevators, was not just me, was seemingly the majority.

Very nice property and of course, it is part of the Davenport properties here in Spokane. Room Service is back and available with a good selection. The lobby bar is quite nicely sized. It did not get 5 stars simply because like other Davenport properties, they do not have refrigerators in the guest rooms. (I could rent one for $25.)

This hotel was chosen because it was a destination spa hotel near the wedding venues where my son was getting married. The hotel facility itself is beautiful and well appointed with amenities including a spa, gym, pool, dining restaurant, coffee shop (Starbucks), and a lounge with a fireplace and comfortable chairs. The staff was courteous, and polite throughout our stay. However, the hotel was apparently severely understaffed to the point of not providing housekeeping for stays of less than five days. Our stay was four days. The lack of housekeeping led to a less than satisfactory experience during our stay. The last two days were particularly unpleasant as used towels piled up under the bathroom sink and waste baskets overflowed. Most infuriating was that no one would tell us that housekeeping was not forthcoming - not housecleaning staff or concierge though we made repeated requests to both.

Would never recommend this hotel. Especially with small children. Rooms do not have fridges or microwaves. I was Charged for a fridge that didn’t even work. I lost all of my breastmilk because it needs to be refrigerated. No microwave to use which also made It difficult with two small babies and warming things up. Told several times over the phone that I couldn’t place a food order because they were “too busy” and that I would needed to walk down to the safari room to eat. That is very difficult with two babies. Our towels and sheets were taken by housekeeping but were not replaced so when I wanted to shower I had no towels. When I checked in I was told there wouldn’t even be housekeeping and to call when I needed something. So I was shocked then I came back to all of our towels gone. When I checked out I wasn’t even asked how our stay was.

Stayed there with 2 kid’s, mainly because of the pool and the assumed high standards. I’m gold elite member at Marriot Bonvoy (and booked this room through bonvoy), but was treated like booking the cheapest room through an internet travel agency. The lady at the desk was relatively rude when we checked in. We received the room next to the elevator, very noisy. Any room change or upgrade request was immediately blocked from desk lady. Thank you, but if this is the only room you can offer to a status guest, then we won’t see us again. Room had no fridge, just to mention. Finally, the pool for the kids was in the basement, low ceilings, only artificial lights, you don’t want to stay longer then absolutely necessary. Breakfast the other day was very average. Didn’t feel welcome at all. I will definitely use a different hotel chain next time.

Absolutely gorgeous location. We usually stay at the Grand but may have found our new go to! They upgraded us to a 2-room suite which was beyond gorgeous. Staff was always going above and beyond and the room service food was amazingly good.

Nice hotel, huge showers. Room was comfy. Housekeeping was a bit of a disaster but I consider it a one off problem. All of the various "Davenports" (we visited two) are unique and higher end..
