Food: the cod, fried chicken, jambalaya, and cornbread were in 👏 credible. Each dish was so uniquely delicious, it hit all of the taste buds. Service: they accommodated us despite being busy in a small seating space and were very attentive In a city with so many options, I would definitely return here!

I just left and I'm already thinking about what I will order on my next trip! Every single item was delicious and unique. The dinner for 2 at $110 is a great deal because of the amount of items you get to try. Very small space and they were turning away people on a Tuesday so highly recommend a reservation and be aware there is not alot of space to store items.

I happened to notice this restaurant was near my hotel and decided to check it out because it had such high ratings. The food was so good I ate here twice on my short visit to NY from LA over Thanksgiving weekend. I've seen a lot of Korean fusion type concepts but this food was incredibly unique, well-executed, and you can really see and taste the chef's passion and efforts in every dish. I hope to come back again next time I'm in NY!

Deviled eggs were great, the general flavor profile here at KJUN is very interesting. We generally enjoyed it but note that the restaurant is very small and if you show up too late (like us), they might run out of their fried chicken! Our favorites were the deviled eggs and the jjm. Gumbo + jambalaya were also good but a lil too salty.

Chef Jae is back in a permanent location that is a little ways off from where we met her (popping up at Essex market) but it's well worth the trip. Her inventive fusion of Korean and Cajun is unique as far as I know, and perfectly executed and balanced between the two flavor worlds. Good use of prepared components showing up in different settings help create an extensive menu in a small space. My favorite is probably the Kimchi Jambalaya with added shrimp, but I don't think there's anything I've tried I didn't like. My kid says the snowball is the best ice cream he's ever had (fermented plum). Pro tip: bring a bottle of Spanish red wine, get the Sangria base, and she'll mix it for you, and you take the leftovers home. In ten years living in Spain I don't think I've ever had a sangria as tasty as this fermented plum one. Highly recommended, and keep an eye out for the specials!

Took a friend visiting town here for dinner. We had the Oyster and shrimp Po boy, ribs, and cornbread. Everything was delicious, perfect crunchy bread for the Po boy, a rich tangy sauce on the ribs which pulled away from the bones perfectly, great crumb and flavor on the cornbread (the bites with jalapeno are especially tasty). The drinks were really good. Gogo nice was super tart with a really interesting note from fermented plum. Misugaru was an almost eggnog with oat milk, maple, and chicory. We even got to meet the chef, Jae. The food and atmosphere are fantastic. I know I'll definitely be back.

Had an amazing meal at KJUN. The food was so well prepared and seasoned, and it was the perfect combination of Korean and Cajun flavors. I would highly recommend the Kimchi Jambalaya and the egg appetizer! The service was also amazing. The chef herself delivered the dishes, and we had the lovely opportunity of talking to her. The space is a little small, but its the perfect place for a cozy, delicious meal for two! Will be coming again and telling all my friends about this place!

The food was excellent!! Really nice way this two kitchens combined! Must haves: pear salad, ribs, fried chicken! Side Note: it’s a small place, you are going to eat a delicious meal, but you will smell like food when you leave the place and the bathroom is shared with the staff inside the kitchen! I went dressed a little fancy and would have liked to know this things 😅 Overall will go again for sure 😛

Unique food in a relaxed, intimate spot. KJUN serves a Korean-New Orleans fusion that is always delicious. In particular I liked the fried chicken (w/ honey sauce, so good), the soy marinated egg, and the okra kimchi.

The food here is amazing. It has been one of my favorite places I've tried this year. NYC is full of great Korean food restaurants, but KJUN sets itself apart with its twist on Korean flavors. The various kimchis were good, with the Okra kimchi being the best. As for appetizers, the boudin japchae balls and cracklin eggs were favorites. For entrees, the ribs and jambalaya are must-tries. The ribs were incredibly tender and sauced just the right amount. The jambalaya was the most fusion- style food, and it did not disappoint. It leaned more Cajun than Korean, which was a great change of pace. The venue space is small, so definitely get a resevation before heading there.

Got takeout here for a weekday. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The first thing I noticed was the presentation of the takeout. Packed into a sleek white cardboard box, the sandwich was deconstructed into the brioche buns and patty, with the mayo and honey sauce stored separately to prevent sogginess. I was pleasantly surprised to find green tomatoes and banchan. I put together my sandwich and went to town. Splendid. Recommend dipping the sandwich into the honey sauce for each crispy bite.

We had a lovely dinner at KJUN tonight. The 2 of us (ladies) went for the set meal for 2, and quite proudly devoured most of the dishes by the end of it (much to the waitress’ surprise!) I personally enjoyed the fried oysters which was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside; fried chicken that was well marinated and goes even better with the go honey sauce; a great sourdough that went with the buttery shrimps; and lastly a pecan pie that was surprisingly delicious without being too sweet. We were craving for Korean but wanted something different and this experience definitely delivered! Thank you Chef Jae Jung and team for the wonderful experience and hospitality, I’ll be thinking fondly of these dishes while I travel back home to Singapore! My only 1-star improvement is hoping there was more comfortable and spacious seating given the number and portions of dishes served.

KJUN is the fusion food utopia that every fusion restaurant aspires to. The cosy restaurant is a vibe, the staff are kind and attentive, and the chef is a proper character that always looks after us (yes chef!). Favourite dishes: seafood jambalaya, corn bread, fried chicken sandwich and their short ribs!

Love love loved KJUN. Unlike any other meal I've had in the city. Incentive yet approachable. All the meals play with the Korean/New Orleans fusion in a way that provides such dynamic flavors with contrasting textures, acidity levels, depth, etc. Couldn't be more satisfied with me meal.

Y’all this food is SO DARN FLAVORFUL! I highly recommend the jambalaya, it was certainly the best I’ve ever had. The food was quickly served and I was so surprised at how much flavor a dish could pack, so I’m very excited to explore the rest of the menu since I’ll definitely be back. The service was very friendly and I swear my cup of water was refilled so many times I couldn’t tell if I had made progress, which was very nice. The space is small, but still cozy. I’d recommend bringing a companion and maybe ordering takeout if you’re in a group.

Been wanting to check out this place for weeks and SO GLAD I finally went. I’m always venturing out for Korean flavors with a twist and this is exactly where you want to go for that. With the classic Cajun dishes and the combo of Korean taste is incredible. The best service too! I felt the warmth for the care and love for their food and customers. Would 1000% recommend! ALSO the chef was the sweetest ever. We asked for a little bit of the Okra Kimchi to try but they had forgot which we were fine with since it was busy in there. When we were paying to leave, she packed us a thing of the Okra Kimchi and their new dessert menu (I think banana pudding!!) for us to take home with us🥹 Will definitely be back to try more dishes🤭 너무 잘 먹고 갑니다🫶 Oh one note - The restaurant is quite small so heads up that you will probably wait a bit or get takeout!

We really loved this restaurant. The food is a combination of Korean and Cajun which works in a way that I couldn't envision until we ate there. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. The space of the restaurant is very small, with seating for less than 25 people. Although not rushed, it is not a place to linger for a couple of hours. It is always fun to find a wonderful new place to eat in Manhattan and I've already decided what I'm going to order the next time!

The food was delicious and came out super fast. Highly recommend the soy marinated eggs with cracklin', fried chicken, and crab cakes. The jalapeno cornbread was just okay on its own but the honey butter definitely made it better. Pretty crowded for a weekday right after work, but we got there just in time for immediate seating. It's pretty tight in there, so just make sure you're comfortable being up close and personal with the parties next to you 😅

This place is a restaurant with character. Their food is a fusion between Korean and New Orleans cuisine and the staffs are pretty good at explaining the dishes. I had the NOLA BBQ shrimp and was satisfied with the BBQ butter sauce and the generous amount of shrimps provided (8 of them for this 27 USD without tax dish). The sourdough provided tasted perfectly with the shrimp and its sauce too. But it does feel too heavy once you are half-way through the dish. If I were to visit this restaurant again, I wouldn't order this to eat alone. But it would be a nice dish to share among other people. This place is crowded both for lunch and dinner. So, I recommend reserving a seat in advance, unless you are a solo customer dropping by at late night (past 8.30 PM) like me. -- Edit as a reply to the owner: My apologies for previously included a photo of the staffs. The intention was just to portray the atmosphere of the place, not to take anyone's photo in particular. It was my mistake not noticing that a staff's face was shown. Already deleted that photo.
