I never post reviews on food trucks so this is the first. I ordered the Sausage with onions and peppers along with Knish stuffed. OMG 😳 Amazing!! Service was excellent and food was great. Price is good and highly recommend! This will be my regular go to now!

Holy JUMPIN by far one of THEE best sausages I've ever had anywhere! And I grew up in Toronto w their whole street dog scene is almost gourmet! I ordered the spicy sausage sandwich with extra everything!!! It was an experience of spice and flavor, while quite potent, the heat only enhanced the other flavors, there was mustard and geez their sauce is in point.I soooooo appreciated the use of the cherry peppers!!! Thanks guys I'll be baaaaack!!!

WOW! From start to finish 5 stars. Since I've been an adult, I NEVER eat from a food truck. Mainly because inside the truck looks dirty, & the workers look filthy. Well, that was not the case at Policano's, clean & orderly through & through. When my hubby suggested we get lunch from a food truck, I thought to myself, "is he kidding? He knows how picky I am about EVERYTHING, but i didn't want to gripe. " My plan was to just take it home & not eat it. Once I saw how bright & clean the truck was & that the chefs clothes looked clean, I was sold on eating my order. Again, WOW! With the 1st bite, I was in LOVE. Juicy delicious grilled spicy & sweet Italian sausages w/savory cooked onions & a hint of BBQ sauce on a freshly made Italian roll, yassssa. I will most definitely return.

Dougie is a staple of the neighborhood and I'm so happy his son took over for him after his retirement. I wish them many more years of success. The sausage is always cooked to perfection and if you're on the run this is the place to go. As a truck driver i'm able to call in get my order and keep on moving. You will never leave hungry from one of these homemade masterpieces.

I gravitate to this location for over 20 years because I really enjoy getting my Italian sausages from this truck. I have noticed their upgrades wrapping and bags. You can also put sauces on your sandwich. My preference is some cooked onions and peppers with raw onions only on my sausage. Worth the trip.

My daughter is only eight years old and is a picky eater but she loved Policano’s Italian Sausage sub. I would highly recommend them if you are in the Howard Beach/Brooklyn area.

So I got the sudden urge for a sausage and peppers hero today. I know that somewhere near Howard Beach there has to be some good sausage and peppers. I found this place on google. I called and placed my order. They told me I'd be cutting it close, but they made my food anyway. I ordered two hot Italian sausages and peppers on heroes. I like walked up the truck at about 5:02, his windows are closed, the truck is in drive, and the wheels are already turning. This guy on the street yells for them to stop, and the truck stops and the dude comes out with my sandwiches. He said he threw in a little something extra for me. It was a regular sausage (not Italian) and peppers on a hot dog bun. So, I was really hungry and driving. I opened a small sandwich and took a bite. There was an explosion of flavor and my mouth that took me back to all the flavors of my childhood at the ballpark. I filled up on that sandwich alone. Then I thought to myself, if that thing was this good, I have to try the Italian sausage and peppers. I took one bite of the spicy Italian sausage and peppers on a hero and realized that I'm never going to another sausage and Pepper's place again. I've never had a bad sausage and pepper sandwich and all the sausage and peppers trucks I've ever eaten at have been absolutely excellent, but these guys take the prize. It doesn't seem to be your conventional sausage and peppers. There seems to be something extra here. I really thought only Italian grandma's had this recipe. I paid $22 for two amazing sausage and peppers sandwiches and discovered THE place for sausage and peppers sandwiches and it's right at the Brooklyn Queens border on Linden blvd, just off the Conduit.

An insanely delicious sausage sandwich. Fresh bread and juicy and hot Italian sausage, topped off with peppers, BBQ sauce and ketchup. Definitely give these guys a chance for lunch if you're in the area; they're super kind and have perfected the classic after so many years in the business.

Dougie and Mike are awesome and provide great customer service. It's a pleasure to see their friendly place and the great memory of their frequent customers order is impressive...that itself is a lost art. Wlak up to Dougie's window and shout out what you want...I you don't know, start off with a hot dog (onions and pepper, hot pepper and mustard) to activate your taste bud (must eat right away prevent the bun to be steamed up when they wrap it) and follow with the hot Italian sausage sandwich with everything (onions and peppers, hot peppers, bbq sauce, mustard, ketchup, salt and pepper) as the main course and for those who are watching their carb intake...ask for the platter (it's all the goodies minus the bread.) MUST try and they serve the best Italian sausage sandwich!

The best! Grew up on these sausage and peppers, hot and sweet for many years! Dougie & crew always treated us very well. They care about a quality sandwich, knish (ribsticker!) and more. Authentic. It shows. My family will now pick up their sausage and peppers as a surprise and bring it out to me on the island. Wish you guys the very best. Thanks for taking care of us (and so many blue collar workers) for so many years.

Food is amazing but what’s not amazing is I look up the times they’ll be there and I drive there. I almost never see them there when they say they are there. Like right now this 4th time I’m here and they are not. What’s google say? That they are. Thanks guys!
