We had a wonderful time and ordered a flight of everything. We had some favorites we took home with us. The staff was exceptional. They took their time to go into detail as we asked our questions. They are set up perfect for covid so that you can go and enjoy your time there while trying their fantastic wine and wine based cocktail selection.

While the wine is good and the staff was nice, the daughter of the owner was incredibly loud and rude in the past to me. I will not spend my money on their wine. If I go to a festival, I drink for free at a tasting but they will never get another dollar from me. If I had never come in contact with the daughter, I would have rated this business higher and I would spend there. Instead total wine takes my cash.

I'll start by saying we've visited Mattaponi winery several times in the past and have had positive experiences, and we know what to expect from the wines when we go. We visited on Saturday. The weather was raining when we arrived so it wasn't busy, which was great. Kristy (spelling unsure) assisted us with our tasting. While she was admittedly newer to the winery, she did an excellent job pouring wines and providing outstanding service. She was very hospitable and friendly the entire experience and provided good overviews of all the wines. Admittedly, my wife and I aren't fans of sweeter wines (a majority of these are sweeter), they're still enjoyable for those looking for something sweeter or different. The location is good for enjoying a glass or bottle on the property. Nothing fancy but offer tables in and out, and covered seating around the building. Overall worth the visit based on the excellent service alone, but tailor your expectations on what wines you expectations to try while there. Thank you, Kristy and Mattaponi for the experience.

We live very close to this winery. The club house is so beautiful v the staff are friendly and helpful. I had the strawberry chocolate wine and my man had the strawberry shortcake in a complementary wine glass. Both were great! UPDATE: Everybody needs to come out and try the caramel apple teeny. They have it hot or cold and it’s great hot on a very cold day. Very inventive and absolutely delicious

Extraordinary experience! Great environment and better energy! Different kind of wines.

Heading home to Ohio from Williamsburg, a traffic detour took us past this quaint and quiet winery. The owner is part Indian, which the winery gets its name and decor. The wines were all unique and very good. Natalie, our server, used to be a customer and now helps manage behind the bar. The view is very peaceful and the people are very nice. One customer in particular befriended us and shared his bottle of wine. We are grateful to have made a new friend in Virginia. We will definitely be visiting again.

What a wonderful place. My wife and I went in today we met the owner had a couple glasses of wine and it was just fantastic. Absolutely recommend it.

If you enjoy wine, stay away from this “winery” — I stopped for a tasting and found each sample worse than the next. Stop at nearby Lake Anna Winery and don’t waste your time here.
