My family and I stayed here and it was so neat! The room we stayed in was the old Shell gas station. Plenty of room, good cold AC and really comfy couch. I wish we stayed more than one night as it was very relaxing and beds were nice and firm.

The room was so adorable and well decorated. Bed is very comfy and couch is also.Very clean and tidy and it was so nice to have some bottle water and snacks in the room. We really felt we had stepped back in time. I really can't say enough nice things about this place. Fell in love with it. We will definitely be back and spread the word.

This place is fantastic. It is historic, super clean, comfortable, and reasonable. The decor is amazing. The owners are also amazing. You feel like family when you stay here. Will stay here as often as we get through this area.

This place is absolutely stunning. The man who I believe owns it was so nice. The room had water bottles in the fridge and some snacks to choose from. Also has a nice coffee machine and microwave. Very clean and updated yet still has the awesome old school feel. They did a great job renovating this place and really know how to make their guests feel comfortable!!! I would come again!

We absoluty loved our stay at Rockwood Motor Court. It looks adorable and we loved sitting outside in the evening for a while after a long drive. The owner is fantastic. It's a place full of well kept Route 66 history and a warm heart. 100% recommendation.

Stop scrolling and call them to book! What an amazing little gem, it literally was an experience that added to our fun weekend. The owners are so nice, and shoutout to the other reviewer who said to call them to book and get the better deal vs online prices. Don’t let the location fool you, it may seem a little sketchy, but it’s easy to get in/out of, and it’s not off a highway or busy street (and so close to Black Sheep burger our takeout order was super fresh!). I’ll definitely book this place again when we’re back in town.

I discovered this amazing motel while on my Westbound Rte 66 motorcycle ride. Phyllis and Tim have done an incredible job revitalizing this place. Tim gave me the 50-cent tour (Phyllis says people usually get the nickel-tour) of the "Kicks on 66" room and the Military room. I stayed with Room #1, which was plenty of room for a weary solo traveler. I usually review the pillows and towels, and both were really good. On Tim's recommendation, I ventured down the street to College Street Café (1/2 mile east) for breakfast. A great recommendation, thanks.

My husband and I stayed two nights here, Christmas weekend, just to get away from the city (St. Louis) and to do some sightseeing. I called Phyllis Friday afternoon to let her know we would be arriving later in the evening, and asked if I could upgrade to a different room. She was so accommodating to my last minute request, and we ended up in the White Cliffs of Dover room, which is a nod to war vets. My husband is a veteran and I knew he would enjoy the room, and turns out Phyllis is too! There is no cable in the rooms, just antenna TV, but honestly we never turned it on. Between sitting on the bench outside our room, all the books, things on the walls to read, and the games (we played scrabble on a vintage board) we didn't need to watch TV. The property is not on a busy road, which is nice because it's quiet. There is a gas station on the corner and a cute diner up the street, so it's also convenient. 10/10 I'd recommend anyone stay here.

Phyllis who runs the place is extremely accommodating to guests and is willing to help you if she can. I needed a room in Springfield IL and accidentally booked here (Springfield MO) and she was helpful in explaining the rules for third party booking, and referred me to a hotel she knew of in Springfield IL (where I needed to be). I appreciate the consideration and the guidance. She could have very easily said, “You probably should pay better attention next time,” but she took the time to understand that people make mistakes and assist them in fixing it.

What a great find this was! Not your cookie-cutter stay, the host was so friendly as well as knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed the cottages, as well as the opportunity to relax outside in the evening. I will highly recommend for anyone wanting a different experience, a chance to enjoy a change of perspective.

Very cute little place and I love the decorations. Cool location on historic route 66. I haven't seen the rooms. I took a customer there and they don't open the office until 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

My husband & I didn’t have a reservation, just showed up on a dreary, foggy Thursday night. Tim was very friendly and welcoming. Made us feel right at home.
