I gave birth about a week ago at Life hospital and when I tell you that the maternity ward is warm and welcoming I thoroughly mean it. I had the best experience. I was there for 4 days and I was well taken care of. The nurses respond quickly and always eager to help you and your little one. They prepare the bottle and bath your baby for you whilst you still there. They always ask if you need anything and if you and the baby are okay. I found that really impressive. Maternity ward please keep up the good work that you are doing. ❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Will never ever go to this hospital. Nurses don't care about their patients, even when my mom was passing they were no where to be found and they are honestly so rude.

I gave birth at the Old stMarys Womens Clinic in 2013, the hospital was old and falling apart although the staff were amazing and friendly at their Maternity ward and Just for that I vouched to return, was clean and comfortable really had a great experience :) ..The NICU though I encountered issues with the nurses there unfortunately :( , one discouraging me visiting my daughter everyday even going as far as telling me I must go out, to have fun and have a drink?? I mean I was breastfeeding for crying out loud! And how does one have fun when you're child is sick??! Another one telling me not to touch my baby because I'm disturbing her?! when all I was doing is sooth her! I later found out that they had a problem with me being there Everyday All Day because they are not Free?? I was stunned and wondered what happens when I'm not around..do they sit back and not work and me being there makes them want to do their job??! Was very disturbing to say the least, was glad the day my daughter got discharged. 2016 I welcomed a baby girl :) and because of the experience I had at StMarys I returned.. WOW not only did they move to a nice new hospital, the staff there had changed, the old staff were lazy, talking throughout the night, had attitude, bossy towards the trainees, not helpful to a point my husband had to complain to management, they apologized we accepted but damaged was already done won't change the experience! I pittied the trainees shame and I hope they'll stay helpful and friendly. Then I witnessed 1 staff member swamped with so much work when there were other staff members around who could've helped her,, to a point the pediatrician had to shout at her for her disorganization and keeping a child who was supposed to be in the NICU in an incubator in the baby room! to add to that my baby girl and I were discharged and to our arrival at home only to be called to come back because the said nurse discharged my daugher and later was found that she didn't check her jaundice and it was really high :( I spent another 3 days in kids ward, 2 days C-section sleeping on the recliner my feet got so swollen my husband told managed and a camp stretcher was brought in,it did help but I was already annoyed by the experience! It doesn't end there.. The 6 weeks clinic visit the nurse at the clinic told me to go back to the hospital because my daughter was discharged without being given the first vaccine!!!!!!!

PATHETIC, if this is the way your staff treat a customer that want's to find out about one of your staff to get her phone number and keep me 5 minutes and 38 seconds Rosland was her name hope she never had to care for me, because by the time she had to see to me I might be dead already,. your staff on the switchboard just as PATHETIC. I do not live there the call was from Klerksdorp, your hospital will DEFINATELY not be recommended to anybody. I've heard from people that live in Springs how the hospital had decline, well I had the experience today.

Dirty linens... One doctor actually answered her phone while busy with a patient! What is wrong with you!!!??? Van der Merwe Malan Davie Inc. wake up or close your doors! Pathetic pathetic PATHETIC! One of the worst trauma units I've been to.

Your parking Premises are a disaster. Brought my mom to have her cast replaced on a 3 week Post OP Foot Surgery. So I request to be directed to the disabled parking as well as a Wheel Chair. Upon which I'm informed by the Security guard we can only use the disabled parking if we have disabled sticker. Which means temporary disability is not worthy enough. Had to drop my mom at the door and go look for a parking in timbuktu while there were clearly open disable parkings. ( I would have understood if there weren't) So guess I'll be pushing my mom all the way to the east parking lot and praying she doesn't fall over getting into the car as I'm 100% certain the wheel chair won't fit between two cars. Really Horrible Service!!!

I took my pregnant daughter to this hospital on Friday because she was bleeding. The doctor that attended her only took the blood test and said everything was fine although she was bleeding. She said its normal in the first trimester. She continued to bleed and the following day I took her to another hospital where she was immediately admitted and unfortunately it was miscarriage. The staff in that hospital were surprised that why was she not admitted immediately because it was the risk miscarriage. I'm very disappointed.

Pathetic!! Terrible service in the nursing department from the West Wing to the South Ward 1. Nurses weren't attentive, couldn't even administer a drip correctly. Night staff were loud and gave attitude when called. Understaffed and created general chaos in the wards. Nurses even bad-mouthed the doctors behind their backs in front of patients. Medication not timeously ... night staff lying to day staff saying the patient had refused medication when there wasn't even an enquiry for medication. Would not recommend at all! Doctors are good but unfortunately nursing and management are useless.

My daughter was helped after she fell and hit rocks on her forehead and facial. She had scary scars and what broke my heart was that she got injured a day before her birthday. Parkland was my last hope and thanks God she didn't suffer any skull fracture or facial fracture. Thanks alot to Parkland workers from Admin to Dr.

The worst private hospital. Nurses were rude with no sense of urgency in a critical situation. No proper attention and care was given to my father in law. The nurses were unreliable and careless. Never will this hospital see any of my family again. Worst experience for the patient that was under their “care”. Traumatising and shocking experience. Couldn’t wait to get our family member out of there. (Nurses definitely are not passionate about the people under their care). One would think that all the previous bad reviews would make a difference in this hospital… it doesn’t… nothing has changed. If you love your family don’t send them here. Over and out

This hospital has become more of a public hospital, their service doesn’t meet the standards of the private hospital it was. I gave birth at Life hospital in springs and received the worst service, being in so much pain trying to recover hours after giving birth I had to take care of the baby without no help from the nurses, did nappy changes on my own with no help as a new mom. When I asked the nurses they said I should do nappy change on my own. After a very tiring birth process I didn’tt sleep a wink watching my baby, the nurses still did not help with that. After giving birth,no doctor came to check up on me as per hospital doctors should do I had the worst experience . Wouldn’t recommend it.

Staff was friendly, helpfull and assisted where they could. I was quite impressed by how patiently they handled things as well as impressed by how they kept the hospital clean and hygienic. Not only do they think of the patients but the extended family members or friends who waits alongside their loved ones by providing something to drink during the day.

Shuuu the staff in this hospital have no idea how to give clear instructions and direction. No sense of urgency, the emergency unit should be renamed the chill unit. If you are a first time mom, save yourself the frustration and heartache, money and confusion. PLEASE look for a different hospital that has employees that communicate clearly and provide you adequate service and advice. The Security, catering and cleaning staff at Parkland is top notch and friendly. Although there's room for improvement, the maternity ward has good nurses/ sisters.

Having been transferred to Springs Parkland was the worst ever. Even after being notified of my arrival they still took more than an hour to book me in at a room. On arrival at the room it was said that there was no bed available. With all of this up and down after 2.5 hrs I was told that the specialist would only operate the following day, because of all this mis communication between staff. Not having any empathy with anyone when it comes to being helpful. Have to sit and wait while in terrible state of pain. Staff is not supportive at all and take their time because they know that they get paid at end of month and don't worry or care about patients. One day they will get the same treatment

My mother was admitted into the east wing . They leave the aircon on 18 degree's after I stated she has a lung problem. Her room was full of ants I requested them to clean the room as it is unhygienic it took 3 requests and 3 days before anything was done about it. The staff in the east wing during the night shift had so much attitude . When I was asking for assistance with the aircon and ants to be resolved. I am unhappy with the conditions in the east wing and the night staff attitude. I will never admit my mother here again or refer anyone to this hospital.

More like public hospital, very pathetic. Went there yesterday evening, arrived at 7:15 by 7:30 still not attended only security guys who was standing there, patients and family outside the casualty. No receptionist or anyone to assist us after 7:30 that's when they gave us the forms to fill. And waited more 15 mins for them to call 1 patient. Patients were sitting outside in a cold, can't patients use the waiting area. I mean we are on evel 1 and less than 20 can sit in the waiting area and social distance. Your service sucks, there are patients who came and left cause there was no progress. I saw about 4 families that left, going to other institutions.

Absolutely shocking. Absolutely shocking. My fiance was told not to eat from the night before and then he has to come in at 11am. He was supposed to go for surgery at about 12. They kept pushing him later and putting people in front of him and he eventually got taken in at 4:20 only to have to wait until 5:40 before they actually started the procedure because another person was pushed in front of him while he was in the operating room. It's absolutely shocking.

It sedans me to say that even the reception was bad they do not greet or look you in the eye. Just R12000 co-payment no hello sir how can i assist nothing. We had gap over and they did not even want to assist. We had to leave. Now our house doctor is assisting us to look for a hospital that will take our medical aid and gap cover. Why do we have hospitals is it just a money machine well yes according to me. Sad but true.

When Discovery listed Life Groenkloof as the only hospital in Pretoria East on their Delta Hospital Network I harboured some scepticism that maybe Groenkloof is just not in the same league than the others in the East. And that turned out to be true today. Life Groenkloof is head and shoulders above the rest. Best doctors. Best equipment. Greatest service. Great infrastructure. Great amenities. Simply in a different league.

Its safe in there minds for me to sit in this hallway while 100 plus people walk by as my wife gets a sonar but not safe for me to sit with here while she has the sonar. Mediclinic let me sit in a chair in the corner of the room so we could both understand what they were finding. And on top of that, someone was an hour late for their appointment so rather then taking the people waiting, they are waiting for the guy that's an hour late. There think and scheduling is backwards.

The service is poor. My mom broke her shoulder on Wednesday. Will only get operated on Today. The staff didn't follow protocol, didn't even do a covid test. They thought it was done, no EEG as well. Put the process back two days. She's 80 years old, isn't this an emergency. Her arm and shoulder turned black already. They were quick to take her R405, but not quick to attend to her. I'm shocked at this low level of professionalism.

Dr Ben Jansen van vuuren is the best surgeon I know he has been operating on me more than 1. He just did a laparotomy on the 16th March and it was a success as all my other operations. I highly recommend him The staff at South 1 is the best they took good care of me since I was admitted. They really try to make your stay in hospital as easy as possible and comfortable

Poor My sister was and diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum which is vomiting in pregnancy whereas she was not even pregnant but had vomiting and severe abdominal pain. When we asked the nurse to get an appointment with Dr Mjoli who was treating her, she said she would talk to the doctor. The following day my sister got discharged and she is still not feeling well, still vomiting and in pain.

I hope one day I will heal and be able to talk about the trauma and poor service I experienced at this hospital. From the moment I entered to give birth, from the harsh tone, bullying, being reminded that I'm taking too long to give birth, being reminded that they have other patients to attend to, being made to feel as if they are doing me a favor ,no feedback on my baby's progress while she was in ICU etc. My heart hurts when I think about it but I'm just grateful my baby is well.

Thanks to the main receptionist personnel (Brenda and Khomotso) and also the wound clinic personnel (Laurel/ Lauren) they helped me without hesitation. Brenda even went an extra mile to ask for me to be helped without an appointment. They were easy to talk too and made my recovering process easy. Big up to them and many thanks.

They didn't pull my mom out the car, they watched as we struggled to get her out. Ambulance arrived late, at least we were smart enough to get her at the hospital ourselves. The doctor was helpful at least, not the staff, the one nurse was friendly, apart from that. WAKEUP people need help at EMERGENCY ARRIVALS.👏👏👏

Useless!!! Went there with our 2 month old baby with an emergency. Had to wait outside for the lady to take our temperature and sign in as she was not there to help immediately(shw was on launch). Finally went in and then we had to wait for a doctor. The doctor did not even touch him just told us he will phone the other doctor. They kept asking if it was our first child as if we were over reacting. He finally came back and siad we need to come back on Monday to see the other doctor. This place is pathetic.

Am currently at the paediatric ward my son was admitted on Thursday afternoon and the staff in the afternoon are amazing but then the evening staff are a complete opposite who completely disregard their duties. One has to beg them to attend to your child and when they do they perform half measured work. At Monday evening they left medication on the table without administering it to my son and I had to play guessing game if I should give it to him or not. Seco dly she didn't properly dispose some half full medication and as my son was walking and playing around he got hold of it creating a major hazard for my son. What I don't also understand is how they put the red bin on the ground in a ward that has kids walking around or playing that poses a great threat. It scared me so much that these people who are suppose to be professionals can be so nNegligent. Am so upset and disappointed that even you raise your concern with the particular nurse they shout at you as if your a baby. Management need to something about this o the service is bad.

Spent the day in the Maternity ward at Springs Parklands on 29/11 and had an exceptional pleasant experience. Every staff member from the reception station, to the lady that cleaned my room, brought my food, every nurse, the guys that pushed my bed to theater and back, everyone in the theater and the anesthesiologist were all very nice, kind and helpful. Everyone was so calm and made me feel at ease the entire day. Thank you to each and every one of you. Keep up the great work. You guys are awesome!

This Hospital ticks all the wrong boxes and it's utterly disquieting it's not what you would expect from a private sector my advice is rather going to the public hospital I'm sure you'll receive better treatment. From being moved around in between the reception desks to just opening a file for my frail wheelchair-bound mom to being kept in a waiting area for God knows how long with no communication whatsoever had to ask for at least some state dose or some IV drip for her while waiting, had asked for the 3rd time before eventually getting assisted. We arrived around 12 noon gets admitted at 5 pm I come back at 20:00 she still hasn't received any food or mere water. I mean this is so inhumane I'm really appalled.

I don’t even want to give this hospital one star! I am a healthcare worker and i have never treated sick patients like this! Had the worst experience there today with my father! No one helped us with a wheel chair! Waited more than 4 hours for admission to the ward! Casualty staff and hospital staff are rude they laugh at us and speak to one and other in other languages not telling us what is going on! They asked us private rates even tho we are on Bonitas! I don’t mind paying when funds are exhausted but don’t over charge me and treat me like i don’t know anything! Also don’t say it’s not an emergency we should go to a GP when my diabetic fathers sugar is 20! Worst place on earth we booked him out and took him to the N17 where admission took less than 30 min and he sae the doctor! Disgusted by Life Parkland! Please teach your staff bedside manners!

I was at Parklands when i was 27 years old, i stayed for almost a week. I was afraid and scared it was my first time in hospital. Every single person was so awesome and amazing, they made my stay there so comfortable. 10 years later Parklands is still so wonderful. Everything revamped and looking good, but the service and excellence is still so perfect. Keep up the great work. Best hospital in Gauteng :)

Thanks for closing off the disabled parking. Very sensible. To date nothing has been done to make the entire disabled parking accessible. We had to use a regular parking. Additionally there is ZERO social distancing being practiced in the white tent at the entrance. We all have to cluster inside.

I was admitted to St. Anne's ward from 14-17 July 2020 with COVID-19 pneumonia. I received wonderful timeous care from every staff member who crossed my path. Thank you to each and everyone for your respect and tender loving care. No task was too small or insignificant for the nurses to dress in their personal protective equipment and come to my aid. You are stars and I take my hat off to you for your dedication. Well done!

Service and assistance in the hospital is good. Assistance by telephone is pathetic and not helpful at all. To pay parking ticket is a long wait for some reason or another. To get out of the parking is long queues. Food at the Wiesenhof coffee shop is of great quality with friendly service at affordable prices.

I was seen swiftly and the service was incredible. They did everything in a manner that gave me a sense of professionalism and with the kind touch one expects from their mom. I would ask an ambulance to take me here over any other hospital in Pretoria.

Life Groenkloof the worst place you can go to in an emergency. It is filthy (much dirtier than Steve Biko Academic Hospital emergency unit), the staff is slow, the doctor on call didn’t bother to check an elderly fall victim for a concussion. The doctor made inappropriate “jokes” at the elderly patient’s expense. And two weeks after settling all bills in full on the night, another arbitrary “procedure fee” of over R1000 was sent to us.

Daughter needed emergency care and the emergency ward provided exceptionally professional and compassionate care. From the way the drip was done, feedback on bloodwork, to the admin process. The doctor and nurses on duty Sunday morning, 1 Nov were great. Coffee shop staff were friendly and efficient too.

I wanted to bring things to my granmother who is very ill but the security guard refuse to let me in just to drop it off now my gran had to walk out in the cold with her drip and come to the gate she can hardly walk but he will let 3 kids in to sit at the bench and with their mother waiting for the father... Yet they are aloud to wait inside safely while I wait outside behind the gate on the st Mary's wing j understand its covid but just to drop off not. Very nice security

My sister was ill treated by harsh words coming from a nurse, I don't know her name yet. The nurse said_"I quote, She was too quick to make a baby and all the nonsense she spoke. She's tall and has an afro, works at the maternity . My sister had an operation and it was her first time having a baby. What annoys me is that, it ain't her place to bad mouth people and next time she would get understanding patients. Her behavior messes up the hospital's reputation. And this happened this week. Why treat a person so badly, worse you get paid by her being there at the end of the day.

Why does your hospital need dr's seeing as your admin staff know better than a dr!!!! Admitted now and honestly hpong to get the hell out of here soon!!! As if patients ask to be admitted!!! Being in a hospital and feeling unsave and interogated while already feeling ill? Is this what health care has come to?? !

My son is a new patient for Dr. T Ndou since delivery on the 15.01.2022, I would like to share my remarkable experience with Dr. T Ndou which I can clearly state I’ve never experienced in my 35 years of life. My wife & I decided to take our son to Dr Ndou today for his 2 week checkup. Upon Dr assessing the infant, she had some concerns and advised that she would like to run some blood tests which would be ready in the later afternoon. There has been an issue with Lancet whereby they had sent the bloods to a few different hospitals which has caused a delay. Dr Ndou has been so kind enough to keep us updated regularly up until 23:02pm which I’ve personally never seen any medical practioner so committed & passionate about their work. From the time we entered Dr. Ndou’s room, she made us feel so comfortable with her positive energy and gentleness which gave us assurance we had come to the right Dr. For excellent service like this, I thought I would make mention and hope this would assist Dr. Ndou in positively impacting her career or position at Life Healthcare. I’m not sure if there are awards for such however she should be the winner for 2022. Anyway, thank you for your time & it’s great to know that marvellous doctors like Dr. Ndou still exist in this era. Regards, Happy Client

The staff members in the medical wards (west and east wing) are extremely rude and are definitely not friendly at all. They have a don't care attitude. They don't open the door (west wing) when you ring the bell when it's visiting hours you have to phone them to open. If they talk to you they don't even look at you and if you don't know the exact dates when a patient (my father in this case) started using certain medication the nurse who was completing the form (west wing again) was rude and said to my mom (who is 79) well if you don't know just say so" Will definitely not recommend this hospital.

I would just like to say that Doctor Christopher Snowdowne is a specialist surgeon at Springs Parklands hospital. Last week he had removed a tumor the size of a melon from my leg. I would recommend him anytime. I felt comfortable and calm. I cannot thank him enough for saving my leg.

Cleanliness 95%. Maternity ward treatment from staff 95%. Emergency reception 30% ( they told us to walk to maternity ward, I was in pain. I don't know whether they didn't care or they didn't see anything urgent with the condition I was in. Kitchen dept I recognise Amanda Naidoo. Shes the best. She go all out for patients.

Maternity Ward - Worst experience. 1st time parent to newly born baby. When my wife ask for help and advice then the staff won't help her or give any advice. They tend to "forget" that she is there. The staff forgot about patient on machine that measures contraptions (twice) (they admitted they forgot about her). When inserting the "drip" they made a mistake and my wife's blood poured onto her personal blanket. Honestly very disappointed in the Maternity Ward. Won't recommend them for women about to give birth.

Very bad service I got from this hospital, from the nursing staff that's not friendly and you always have to run after their back when you need assistance with something, to having to wait for 1 doctor the whole day hoping for the best they also don't know what time she's gonna come as if there are no other surgeons in the whole hospital it's alot, you get treated like they are making you a favor and you're not gonna pay I don't recommend to anyone that's about to take their kid to that hospital

Absolutely useless! I am very disappointed in the service i received from the pediatric ward. We had an encounter the a very bombastic arrogant security guard upon visiting hours dur to a misunderstanding and him falsely accusing my older daughter of using force to try gain entry when I asked to see camera footage they did not acknowledge my request. I lost it and the nurse of the pediatric ward came out to calm the situation however the security guard was not reprimanded for his actions. This hospital will never see me again!! I was made to be the bad guy considering I am a paying client. I expect such service from a government hospital not a private hospital!!

My son was in the paediatric ward. From the cleaners, the nurses, the admin personnel everyone made this a good experience under the circumstances. At night they came and asked me a few times if I had enough blankets. Made me coffee when I struggled with my baby. I would recommend this unit any day. Thank you team ❤️

This is the worst service I have ever experienced. Not only did I have to sit with a head injury....bleeding for 2 hours after I paid chage at the receptionist as I do not have medical insurance... and it had to me cash ...they said they do not swipe so i also have to go and withdraw money from an ATM ...woman alone with a head injury at 2 am in the morning.. only to find out that tje reason they wanted cash was that the receptionist could pocket the money from us.. without any slip or prove of payment as they do not provided that according to the receptionist om duty and would later email the invoice to us... that also never happend.... agter i have called multiple this and explained over and over again to the parkland stuff that i need slips. When i finally got an response we released that it amount we paid and the receipts did not make any sense ............one again requesting multiple times parkland sent me a refund form to complete after I was made out to be an liar..... still no feed back from head office..... I have been sending emails and made phone call daily and still no response... The doctors did not ask me of I have any allergies or prior medical condition...what I do actually have and could have head to major Complications. But the doctor also told me my head injury was superficial... at the end of the the my (superficial ) injury ended up getting 12 stitches....How was this superficial? I had been givin no pain medication ..nothing...... I have now been speaking to the supervisor Elsie ..who is also not assisting me .....what should I do?????? I can just say I'll rather sit in pain bleeding from my head at home then ever again set one foot is that place.. the love for helping people are not there at all only love for money that was also over charged and stollen by the receptionist. Were we also hade to pull video.

I have never seen such useless, liars and unprofessional people like this in my life. Those people from case claims are heartless I tell you. I had my twins in Oct last year and since then they told me I owe R37 000 to the hospital. When I call my medical aid they say those people are billing for ICU but the claims are not approved on the ICU that they must use a different system to update the level of care. I've been calling them for the past 2 months now without any progress on their side and I keep asking them to help me because if my medical aid does not receive this claim before end of February 2023 it will be a stale claim and they won't pay for it, they absolutely don't care. When I call they will tell me that they will call me back and they don't call. This Rechard guy and Marlina from claims case are liars. Is like they enjoy seeing you suffer. They stole my peace of mind I can't even enjoy time with my twins because of people who can't do their work. Now I'm debts because of Rechard and Marlin so if want to find yourself in debts go to Parkland Life

I don't rate places 5 stars, but the service, professionalism, treatment and care in the Casualty Department last night when we had to rush my mother in was exceptional. The whole way they got things done, literally almost turning the bay into an ICU while waiting for the medical aid to grant authorization for admission to ICU was impeccable. My mom was treated with utmost respect and the sister was friendly but also extremely efficient. And when 4 odd hours later the authorization finally came through, after Discovery declined and they had to push for authorization the move to ICU was done efficiently and the night staff in medical ICU dealing with my mother was just as excellent. I have always recommended Parkland Clinic to people, but this time I was truly amazed at how service is even better. Thank you to staff and doctors. Please keep up the good work and may you each be blessed as you carry out your calling.

Pediatric ward is the worst, from the minute we walked in considering how exceptional the Dalview Hospital Pediatric ward is as we stayed there for 2 weeks. Sisters/Nurses don't have a sense of emergency, my baby girl had to do an excision in a couple of hours from the time we walked in but they took forever to organize x-rays and blood tests(if it wasn't for the follow up from the practice patient I doubt they were going to attend to it). I gave birth here and my twins stayed in the NNICU and the stay was wonderful, I am extremely disappointed with the Pediatric ward!!!

Rather go see the specialist for what you need first the main hospital only cares about one thing MONEY. Had broken my leg last year it cost my R2800.00 to get a bandage. And R900.00 for xrays and nothing else was done. After I spoke to the specialist I got my work done a lot quicker. The general practitioners are a waste of money and time.

Yesterday my toddler had a bad head injury where the back of his head cut open and there was a lot of bleeding. We rushed him off to the Emergency Room, the time was just before 17:00 and when we got there there was a lady who had been waiting about 3hours to be attended, we were then also told it would be another 2 hours wait for X-rays. WHAT, i had to look around and check if we were at the right place. How is this an emergency room at a private hospital with a waiting period of 3 hours before you are attended to. I expect those times at public hospitals. I have to say i was shocked and disappointed. There was no way I was going to wait that long as hs head was also swelling up. We took him to the closest hospital N17 for help. Parkland Springs please improve on this as an EMERGENCY can not be treated like a general visit, 3 hours to attend to someone is too long, hire more nurses and doctors for efficiency and good service.
