I spent a week at the surf and yoga retreat. I enjoyed my stay at the camp and got to know a lot of nice people. :) The camp is in a quiet and nice location near the Coconut Tree Hill and is surrounded by a small jungle. However, it doesn't look as nice as in the photos and everything (including the surfboards) is a bit outdated. Apart from three loungers by the pool and the dining area, there is no chill-out area, which would be very nice. The food was good, but you just have to be prepared that it can take an hour to get breakfast. Every evening there is a family dinner with fine food from all over the world, which is great for getting to know the other people! But other camps organize additional activities or go out together, which I missed a bit. Perhaps a games evening or a sunrise together at Coconut Tree Hill would have been nice. However, I really enjoyed the surfing courses and the different yoga classes, especially trying out aerial yoga was a lot of fun! :)

This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I feel profoundly grateful for every moment of my week at this beautiful place. I had so much fun with my outstanding surf instructor Madu, and in only seven classes he helped me become far more confident in all of my surfing skills. The yoga teachers were lovely and the classes were a fantastic way to relax after catching the waves. The energy in everybody there was remarkable; I felt so inspired to connect with individuals from all over the world who shared my adventurous spirit. The kitchen made the most delicious meals for us and it was such a treat to taste the unique flavors of Sri Lanka during my stay. The included massage with my balance package was truly exquisite and the perfect way to end my week. I highly recommend Surf & Yoga to everybody; this is an experience you’ll grow so much from and cherish forever!

Very nice camp, which takes a lot of pride treating its guests like family and it is indeed really easy to feel welcome here. Perfect for solo travelers like me. As many comments mention, the camp does not quite live up to the pictures but it is clean and located perfectly with a lot of trees and plants around. It’s not a 5star hotel but easy to feel at home. The surf guiding was very good (I have stayed in several camps before), especially because you have the same guide for your whole stay so he can give you the best feedback on your progress. My guide Lakshita did an amazing job and it was fun going into the waves with him. Only downside is, that the maintenance of the surf equipment is not very well, there was a lot of construction going on all day during my stay and the breakfast system was very slow. But due to the friendly staff and nice people I met, this was not a big issue and overall I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this camp.

Hi, I stayed for 4 nights on a yoga only retreat. The food was excellent especially the breakfast as we could choose from 8 choices. The staff were excellent too and very friendly. The check in with Jay was very informative. As a solo traveller I particularly liked the social aspect of dinner and meeting people. I would recommend this place.

The vibe is great, as well as the kitchen guys they are super cool and cook amazing. I took a 7 days surfing course and I had so much fun. I would say just be aware the manager is cheeky and will try to squeeze every single euro from you, when I arrived there they couldn’t give me the room I booked and sent me to a guest house in front of the camp. Also there is no return policy so if you are encouraged to book in advance be aware you might loose the money. Probably best to pay everything on last day at check out.

Absolutely loved this place and would love to come back one day!! This is a good retreat for people who are looking for a clean, simple, good value for money type of resort. Its not a luxury retreat, but they don't claim to be either. It feels very down to earth and in touch with the people that come there and the local staff. Great vibe overall. This reviews mentions some updated things that previous reviews mentioned. I stayed here with my husband (I'm 30, he's 32) with a create your own package. I did 3 yoga classes and 6 surf lessons with Anu (great teacher). Each night it is decided which time your surf lesson is so you can schedule yoga (if doing that) accordingly. There's around 4 - 5 yoga classes per day to choose from so it will always fit in your schedule. I feel this camp improves quickly based on peoples experiences. For example; the breakfast is now well arranged, you choose a dish and time the night before and the (super friendly) kitchen staff makes it for you. Of course you have to wait a little for pancakes but it's holiday time and otherwise there's 'quick' dishes to choose from, like oatmeal. All meals are fresh and healthy, with a lot of fruits. After breakfast there's 'brunch' around lunch time, a nice buffet with local dishes. Dinner was amazing each night, varied and super tasty vegetarian dishes. Coffee bar Loose keys was a gem as well, best coffee that we had in Sri Lanka. Lastly all of the staff is friendly and helpful and make you feel at home.

I stayed one week at Surf & Yoga Sri Lanka and then extended my stay by an additional week I enjoyed it so much. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing. The rooms are comfortable and clean with A/C. The yoga classes were awesome with knowledgebale and friendly instructors. I met a lot of great people at the retreat, and the retreat is set-up in a way that makes it easy to connect with other guests. Loved every minute of my stay at this retreat and highly recommend it!

I loved to staying at this amazing place! The Hostel area is very cute, nice pool, beautiful nature and comfy beds, everything was very clean as well:) Surf lessons and yoga were great! All the staff is super nice but especially my surf teacher Ale was very nice and good instructor, he helped me a lot and with Bronagh I had the best yoga classes ever! Jay was also very nice and helped me organize my trip to the Safari. The food is very tasty!
