A beautiful bungalow with 6 rooms, a swimming pool, tennis court, 3 cute dogs 🐕, a pony 🐴 and some amazing people with great service. The food was really good too, the views, the garden was just so perfect. There is a beautiful waterfall a few mins down from the bungalow. Roads are good too and accessible.

"My recent stay at Ashburnham Estate Guest House was beyond wonderful. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring our needs were met with exceptional friendliness and assistance. The rooms were not only spacious but also immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable. The location offered breathtaking views from every angle, making it truly exceptional. Walking into the bungalow felt like stepping into a warm and inviting home, adding to the cozy atmosphere of the stay. The food was a delightful highlight; its uniqueness and the option to request specific dishes were much appreciated. One of the standout experiences was the nearby waterfall—a must-visit, offering an unparalleled experience. In summary, it was an incredible place to unwind and I would wholeheartedly recommend it. The bungalow with its six rooms, swimming pool, tennis court, and charming inhabitants including three adorable dogs 🐕, a pony 🐴, along with the incredible service, delicious food, and perfect garden views made it an unforgettable stay. Accessible roads added to the convenience of the location."

My recent stay at Ashburnham Estate Guest House was a truly wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was quite exceptional as the view was spectacular no matter where you looked from. And along with these points I would like to mention a few others which made the experience quite unique. When I entered the bungalow I got a rather warm and cozy feel where it made you feel as if you were home. The food was unique and I absolutely loved it. You do also get the option to request food that you like. And there is a waterfall that is close by and it is definitely a place that you must visit because the experience is like non other. All in all, this was an amazing place to relax that I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic stay.

Based an hour up into the mountains, the Ashburnham Estate house is a fantastic destination. We stayed a couple of nights here on our tour of Sri Lanka. Vish and his colleagues were brilliant. Friendly and of course, SO helpful. Eating breakfast watching the sun rise or watching the sun set with a G & T is a truly memorable experience. We adored our stay here. Another review mentioned ants in the room. We had some in the bathroom but gone in the daytime so didn't bother us at all. It is also well worth the walk to the waterfall. This can be heard from the house so is great to actually spend time down there.

Tranquil Paradise - thank you Ashburnham We finished our tour of Sri Lanka at the Ashburnham Estate. Pure Nirvana - and a great place to chill. Charming and comfortable rooms with beautiful views of the gardens. Nice relaxed family atmosphere among the staff who are very attentive. We especially loved cosying up to the wood fire at night. Delicious breakfast in the morning on the patio overlooking a wonderfully serene and uplifting view of the hill range. Our kids loved the water chute into the pool and we loved bathing under the waterfall. I recommend Ashburnham, particularly if you want a tour of a working micro tea plantation.

Such a lovely place,on an old tea plantation, high in the hills and a welcome cooler temperature from our trip to Kandy on the way.A very warm welcome when you arrive.Downhill along the path from the main house is a beautiful waterfall and natural rock pool, bit of a climb on the way back but worth it,mind out for the leeches in the grass. Would recommend this place on your travels.Thankyou for looking after us on our visit.

This was the first place on our trip. The 5 bedroom hotel offered rustic luxury in a working tea plantation. They have great activities - jeep picnic is a must do! Their private waterfall is beautiful and we loved the tea field tour and tasting with the tea manager, Das and his dog Leo. We met working tea pickers too! The food was delicious (local and western option each day) but there is a limited menu. We were Ok with this given how small and remote the hotel is but if you’re fussy make sure you ask ahead as they can easily sort anything. The staff were excellent. I would highly recommend it. We stayed 3 nights.

We absolute loved Ashburnham Estate! Everybody who worked there was incredible - they knew what we wanted before we did and made us feel so at home! Beautiful surroundings indoors and out; we loved the waterfall and the slide! Clifford’s guitar in the evening definitely added to the experience. Fab food too and perfect g&ts with sunset.
