My goodness what a truly authentic experience we had here. The place itself is a little further away from the main road but worth the effort. Set up outside a home it is a beautiful outdoor setup. We were welcomed by some cool fruit juice which was perfect for the hot summer day. The family is very caring and kind. Coming to the food, we tried the meal with prawn and fish curry. Every single element in the meal was done so well. We really enjoyed the fried eggplant and mango curry. The prawn was cooked perfectly. The seasoning was amazing on every single dish. We can’t recommend this enough if you are around this place.

You have to visit Manori’s kitchen! The food is incredible and the atmosphere of the restaurant represents a genuine and authentic Sri Lankan experience - so grateful we managed to eat here and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

Fantastic authentic experience, lovely food (as long as you like curry) and great setting. Incredible value for money, about 1600 lkr for a main dish including all the side dishes. Service is very friendly but quite measured, so don't expect fast food! Booking recommended, several couples turned away when we were there as it was full

The food was fabulous. Had rice with fish curry (which came with 10 other vegetable dishes). A welcome drink (home-made lime juice) was also included in the price. Very generous portions. Totally worth it ❤️

Family atmosphere, authentic and cosy, and as if that wasn't enough, it was without a doubt the best meal I've had since I've been here in Sri Lanka! There's only one typical dish, “Rice and Curry”, and only a few options, which in my opinion I like a lot ;)

Exceptional food. We had special dietary requirement of vegetarian food without onion and garlic. They catered to our requirement beautifully and the spread was also massive. The best curry we’ve ever had! We’ve been in Sri Lanka for a month having rice and curry every night, and this beautiful place is still by far the best. We’ve been back 4 times now. This was the best Sri Lankan meal I had in my 7 days at Ahangama. They were super proactive in helping us find the place. For the price, it was a lot of food and everything was amazing! Very authentic! They even gave us a second helping of the eggplant salad which we couldn’t get enough of! Would definitely come back to Ahangama just for Manori’s rice + curry :)
