It was an amazing experience to learn about the tradition of Puppets in Sri Lanka. The kids enjoyed the show. Call and book a show. Place is a bit hot but worth the experience.

That was one of the best experiences we had. Ancient traditional puppets and puppet show was there. This place had several beautiful scenes of puppets. Had a wonderful time there. We had the opportunity to see how a puppet dance is happening. This place is growing and a good place to visit around ambalangoda.

As per my knowledge this is the only place where you can see and learn about Traditional puppets of Sri Lanka. This is not a very big place but it was an amazing experience and recommend for everyone who travel around Ambalangoda. They have a puppet theater where you can see puppet shows if you call and arrange with them. This is a privately maintained museum. It is managed by a family and they are trying their best to take this traditional art to the next generation.

(Translated by Google) A great art gallery where you can study traditional puppetry. The specialty is that this is a privately maintained place. Many types of puppets, as well as the way they are made, give a very clear description of the history as well as the current situation. You can even buy puppets if you want. In fact, it is a place where an educational purpose is more important than a business purpose. If informed in advance, groups can also have the opportunity to watch a live puppet show. It’s a small puppet museum. You can watch a puppet dance too if there was enough crowd. They could have kept the place well lit and clean instead of dark and dusty.

Our traditional Sinhala arts should be preserved. So visit such places.
