A government hospital located on the Wathupitiwala road, off the Kandy road. It has many sub specialities as well when compared to other base hospitals. Provides good care and got reasonable level of facilities as well. Unlike other hospitals this bears a very scenic and a lovely environment which soothes your mind. This premises and the original building was a donation by Mrs Obeysekara back in 1910.

Treatments are much better than some main hospitals, but please don't transfer your patients to ragama.(colombo north teaching hospital). That hospital barely treat patients and doctors rarely visit surgical wards. My dad got so much better after getting treatments from your hospital (ward 15 - surgical ward) but he got transferred to ragama. I still don't know why you transferred him. They didn't treat him properly at ragama and he passed away. He would be still alive if he wasn't got transferred to ragama. Never transfer your patients to ragama. They barely read the 'medical reports of the transfered patients' your hospital send and assign them to wrong wards. Please transfer patients to colombo general hospital or SJGH instead.

Best hospital in Gampaha district. fairly maintained and managed. Good parking space. Clean place. Polythene inside the premises is prohibited . Because of that place stays lot more cleaner than most of the hospitals. Doctors and nurses are also very good.

Good hospital in the district.Clean wards but environment maintenaning is bit poor . Enough parking facilities are available Bringing polythene bags is prohibited to the hospital. Majority of nurses staff is kind and helpful with patients but still remaining cruel and bad members too.

Good hospital. Very well maintained and managed. Good parking space. Clean place. Bringing the polythene inside the premises is prohibited and it is thoroughly monitored. Because of that place stays lot more cleaner than most of the hospitals. Doctors and nurses are also very good. Overall one of the best hospitals in Sri Lanka, could very well be the best among government hospitals.

This hospital is the District Base Hospital, meaning it has some of the best government medical facilitations in the area. Built in a scenic environment with a very open atmosphere, you can find all required facilities, like an OPD, PCU (Basically an ER, or Urgent Care Unit), hospital admission and treatments free of charge (some limited facilities might need to be covered with a small fee) and anything else you expect for a large scale hospital in charge of the District to be occupied by. Recommended. (the internal environment is minimal of polythene and hence they kindly request you to not bring polythene in to the premises.)

Best hospital around here. Has all the main clinics and even CT which even most districts general hospitals lack. Well trained staff and clean hospital.

Do not take your friends and family for treatments at this hospital. They are short staffed and inexperienced, have limited facilities and has huge shortage of even the most basic medicines. The staff do not care about the patients and only attend to them if they are only in critical condition.

Today I got Rabies vaccine from here for the first time. The staff of OPD and PCU units was well trained, organized and supportive. I wasn't expected that much support from a government hospital but they dismissed the dark clouds in my mind. Keep up the good work
