Mr. Firdaus, our host is a gem of a person. I really liked the hospitality and homeliness of this place. Food was excellent and stay was very comfortable. Location is very close to Dal lake and also to the market. Will stay here the next time I visit Srinagar.

Great location, prices and amazing owner and staff (knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and experienced). They were patient in answering my questions, understood my needs, gave great tips about sightseeing, and helped in arranging good transportation at reasonable prices. It is rare to meet caring owner and staff like them. Rooms were clean and had all required amenities. I would highly recommend this place.

It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide and the vehicle provided was perfect. The food was amazing too. I would recommend this property to anyone who would like to have an economic stay in Srinagar. We will see you again, with our extended family, in March!

On arrival, he welcomed us with Kahwa & Kashmiri cookies. My first time with Firdous saheb and Mir Saheb. Awesome host. I will miss all the teas kehwa and late night conversations with Firdous saheb and Mir Bhai. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Blooming Dale Hotel Cottage, and it was a delightful experience. The room was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail was evident throughout. The staff was warm and accommodating, providing excellent service. The peaceful surroundings added to the overall serenity. While the amenities were well-appointed,Blooming Dale Hotel Cottage is a hidden gem, offering a tranquil retreat with top-notch hospitality."

Very warm and welcoming place. Comfortable and host is very hospitable. He takes care of every aspect personally. Always welcomed us with warm food and really comfortable beds in the chilly winter of Kashmir. We were traveling with a kid and outside food was not suiting our child, our host took special care and made it possible for us to have simple home made food even late at night. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I felt at home! The property itself is quite spacious, with a big lawn and in a location which is perfect (~2 minute walk to Ghat #2 on Dal Lake). The host is very helpful - in guiding you around the city, arranging taxis and services, etc. I was travelling all alone (25 y.o. female), and they made me feel comfortable and safe. Don’t hesitate to book this place for your next Srinagar visit.

Mr Firdous and Mir Bhai both made us feel comfortable and at home. The location is at a walkable distance to Dal lake and also near to major tourist attractions and the market. Also, the stay and the area is all safe to roam around with good places to eat in reach.

My 7 year old daughter and I made a week long Mother-Daughter trip to Kashmir earlier this year from Australia and we started our trip in Srinagar with a few nights stay at Blooming Dale Cottage. What a fantastic trip and stay! The accommodation at Blooming Dale was very clean, comfortable and safe and we would gladly stay there again. Mr Firdous was a wonderful host - he looked after us very well, organised a sim card for my phone (international sim cards don't work in Kashmir) which was a HUGE (seriously invaluable) help, made sure we were comfortable with everything, and just overall looked after us extremely well. And Mir Bhai! What a truly lovely gentleman - he looked after my daughter and I so well, cooking for us late in the evening when we were too tired to head out for dinner, cooking delicious breakfasts every morning and just very genuine in his desire to help. Thankyou to you both! The location of the hotel is also perfect - just a 2 minute stroll from Dal Lake and 2 minutes from some great places to eat. We'll definitely back to Srinagar with the rest of the family and no doubt this is where we'll stay again!

It was a nice experience especially the owner Ferdous vai made us home like feeling. The room was so neat and clean, decoration was also nice. The Chef Mir Vai was awesome person. The location is just opposite of Dal Lake Ghat no 2. It is one of the best premium hotel within reasonable price. We love the hotel.

We stayed for a week at Blooming Dale. Firstly, the location is very well placed which is just couple of minutes walk from Dal Lake. Once you enter Blooming Dale, it is a very calm and cozy place. You are greeted with authentic kashmiri kahwa and cookies which were delicious. The rooms are clean, neat and tidy with all basic amenities. The owner Firdous Saab is truly a gem of a person. He is one of the nicest person I have ever met. He puts humanity ahead of his business which is pretty rare to find in the current scenario. He planned our entire trip right from pick up from the airport, sightseeing and drop back to the airport. We were privileged to go on a local sightseeing with Firdous Saab. He is a perfect guide, very informative and an amazing ghazal singer. Now coming to his sidekick (caretaker) Mr. Mir who is always smiling and is an amazing cook. The delicacies he made during our stay was mouthwatering. A stay in Blooming Dale gives you a glimpse into what genuine kashmiri hospitality is all about. The care,warmth and hospitality at this place is outstanding. Thank you Firdous Saab and Team for a wonderful trip. Looking forward to visit again.

An amazing stay, where the owner and truly a spectacular host provided experience, insight and local knowledge that made it more than just a hotel stay. If you value the people as much as the place you visit this is an easy decision when browsing a place to book in Srinagar. We were serenaded with poetry as we shared experiences and were given a personal visit to heritage sites that were close to our hearts. It always felt like there was true, warmth and appreciation and the place had a love that was a personification of the owners spirit. We had a lovely stay here. Mr Firdaus and Mr. Mir were excellent hosts and really made sure that everything that we needed was well taken care of. The property is conveniently located very close to the lake, but is also tucked away in an alley way to be away from all the hustle and bustle. Would definitely stay here again whenever we are back.

Blooming Dale is a hotel that gives you the feel of a homestay. The place is peaceful, quiet, but at the same time not too far from the commercial area of Dal Lake. The owner Mr. Firdous is a gentleman; please take his advice on going in and around Srinagar and other tourist destinations. The hotel can arrange for outstation cabs if you want. The food is great; Mirbhai is an excellent cook. However, if you are willing to have food, please inform well in advance. Overall, a very pleasant stay at Blooming Dale.

We stayed in blooming dale, Srinagar for 7 Days in first week of April 2022. We chose this hotel after reading positive reviews. I must say it exceeded all our expectations. Starting with welcome drink kawa, warm hospitality of Mr. Firdous, owner of hotel. Hotel is conveniently located near dal gate boulevard. Rooms are spacious , clean and well maintained. What adds to its charm is lawn where we used to have morning breakfast. Mr. Firdous is very knowledgeable person. His insights about kashmir history, culture and discussion about many topics made our stay really memorable. Food at hotel is just awesome. Mir bhai is excellent cook and takes care of each and every small request smilingly. Mr. Firdous arranged transport for us at very reasonable rates and guided us about many offbeat destinations. He took out time for us and did guided tour of old Srinagar which was very sweet gesture on his part. It is really value for money. It is highly recommended if you are visiting Srinagar.

We stayed in Blooming Dale for two nights in April 2022. We booked this hotel last minute and we were quite skeptical even after reading the reviews as this was the first time we were visiting Srinagar. But later we realised it was the best decision. Its a perfect hotel giving warm homely feeling and giving you complete Kashmiri vibes. The host Mr. Firdoz welcomed us with a very warm smile, indulgent conversation about history of Kashmir and delicious Kahwa. It was really great only talking to him. He guided with so many things. The hotel is super clean with a beautiful lawn where we had breakfast both the days. The food here is prepared by the caretaker Mir Bhaiya. He makes amazing food. We couldn't have better Dum aalu in our whole trip then the one we had here. We were travelling on bikes and Mr Firdoz was very kind to help us keep our luggage in hotel while we went for short trips around Srinagar. We totally recommend this hotel. Its totally safe, perfect location near Dal lake and gives you complete Kashmiri homely vibes😊

It’s was an excellent experience over here, the owner personally involved with the hospitality, provide guidance about the various places. We stay 3 days here & every day they guide and care for us. In short I can say, I have found a home in Srinagar. Food, rooms & obviously the owner & Kashmiri Kava was really Great. Thanks for making our trip memorable.

After staying here I can say this is a best premium Budget Hotel in Srinagar. Room was neat and clean. Breakfast was very good. Owner of the hotel Firdaus is a Gentleman.i went to downtown in his car to buy some stuff. I really had a wonderful stay. Thanks Firdaus and Mir. My best wishes.

I stayed in Bloomingdale with my family for 5 days towards the end of March 2022 after going through the positive reviews across platforms and trust me we did not regret for a moment. From the location of the property which is a stone's throw away from the hub of Srinagar's tourism Dal lake Boulevard road and yet peacefully tucked away without the noise to the excellent food served it was a very enjoyable stay. Mr. Firdaus's warm hospitality and deep knowledge ranging from Kashmir's history and heritage to local sightseeing, shopping treasure hubs and restaurants ensured we spent a good amount of time outside our rooms in the lobby having a wonderful time. Of course the review will not be complete unless I mention Mir bhai who was always ready with a smiling face to cater to guests whims and orders - his selfless energy and warmth, coupled with mind-blowing cooking abilities completely floored all of us. You would miss the place after you return and want to visit the place again soon!

When travelling, any place is only as good as its people . This would make Srinagar the most beautiful place for me. Mr. Firdaus, the most charming host, has truly created a home away from home. The food is amazing, the stay is lovely- Bloomingdale has been a highlight of my trip. Looking forward to visiting again.
