Rooms are big in size and food is of decent quality. For family travelers, this place is good, in terms of safety. Also price wise it is good. Situated on the main road, also you can get many food outlets on the same road.

Accessibility of this hotel is good for travellers as it is situated in the NH route. It's a government owned hotel so don't have much expectations. The number of staff is good. Cleanliness is average. There are fixed hours for meals but one can explore the nearby eateries.Its in the main city so also noisy all the time.

Except the deluxe rooms all other roomsw needs lot of repair work both in civil.and electrical. Since rooms are great demand during the season.,people adjust and go .otherwise is it not worth booking for the amout we pay

This is a good organization taking care of all the requirements of tourists visiting different religious and other tourist sites of Garhwal region in Uttarakhand. Traveling by road, accommodation, food and sight seeing, they take care of everything.

We stayed at Alaknanda GMVN Hotel - located in the heart of Srinagar UK. Great rooms with access to excellent hotels and shops for food. The rooms are very reasonably priced and good for 1or2 day stopover during to and fro journey. Highly recommended for stay in Srinagar.

worst place to stay......very bad room service. No bell in the room to call room service. don't waste your money there. They are spoiling Uttarakhand's name and culture

I booked 5 rooms in April 2023, at Alaknanda Tourist Complex of GMVN. I was very apprehensive about a government facility. To my surprise, everything was wonderful and beyond expectation. The room rents are VERY reasonable. As we got down our Traveller, we were greeted very respectfully. All the rooms were very big in size and very clean. No odour or dust anywhere. The bathrooms were very clean and NO foul odour there too. All the light switches were working and Geyser was very efficient. The food was excellent, not oily, as ordered and right order was served. One of us went to kitchen and was very happy to note that it was very clean and spic-n-span. Nobody pestered us for any tips. We got late in coming back one day, so the Manager called us to enquire if we will have food there when we are back. We said yes, so she carefully noted down our order and asked about choice of onion, garlic etc. When we came back they quickly prepared our order. Every thing was fresh, very tasty and as ordered. The property is in the best location of Srinagar city, Garhwal and parking space in front is available. The staff even helped in unloading/loading our luggage. Definitely will recommend to others and will stay again.

Terrible services by Staff. Food quality is poor, Hot water not available, if requesting for Hot Water - ₹100/- per bucket. Staff confused among themselves. Amount charging of ₹700/- per bed is not worthy.

Location of the hotel is right on the highway. The rates are reasonable but upkeep needs much improvement. Rooms and bathroom are huge. Hotel has also a Restaurant where you can get food prepared as per your choice.
