Despite confirmed booking and prior confirmation on phone before arrival, there was no room available, and they showed us an alternate room which was very old smelly dirty room at a different location. Suggest owner not to overbook and waste everyone’s time

It should be renamed to Dunghill. The owner is a drunkard, liar and a scam artist. He will gouge the price like crazy and charge you thrice the amount you booked it for. And never ever eat anything here because you will be charged extremely high shamelessly. There is no WiFi or TV or anything here. The toilet seat is broken and there is a major water leakage problem. There is a musty smell of mold which is a very dangerous and serious health concern. All the 5-star reviews are fake. Check their dates. Almost all were done on the same date. I found about 50 of them. Scam alert.

This place is so calm. It is away from the mainstream Dall lake's touristy show off side and you will enjoy being with yourself, your creative side, your inner self, your inner peace, your own meditative side feeling the calmness of dal. Shakeel bhai and his mother are true hosts. I bet if you stay here for few days you will be friends with this mother son duo for lifetime. Staying with them is like having your own home in a houseboat for as many days as you are here. And if you live Kashmiri music and poetry then this place is all the more a reason to relish and make find memories, as both Shakeel and his mother have a very good knowledge about Kashmiri music and poetry. Go for it guys if you are in Srinagar.

Great guy, good location with a scenic view. Conveniently located for going anywhere. Takes you on treks. Free fishing and boating if you are friendly. Ask him for anything and he will hook you up. Yup, buddy, you got it right.

Pathetic... Waste of money... Don't book at your own... Just go and book after self inspection... They shown u different pics at the time of booking but they have provide u something worst in which u never want to be stay in your lifetime....

I found this best budget houseboat situated on New Mumta Hotel Road. It has entry from backside road also which is plus point i.e. you dont need to hire Shikara everytime to buy anyhing or for going out to eat something.Owner Shakeel and his Mother are very kind and helping. Situated in calm place, you will enjoy beauty of Dal lake and Mountains around.

No so luxurious but affordable and cheap price

PLEASE TRUST THIS REVIEW AND SAVE YOURSELF. The rooms are below average with no heating mechanism. The toilets are disastrous, and they haven't been cleaned in years, as there have been no guests i believe. Just because the price for a houseboat there might be a bit less, do not book this houseboat. Even if the houseboat was still bearable, the host absolutely wasn't. Shakil bhai. Absolute drunkard and stoner. He is a conman and says a lot of lies. When we decided to leave the houseboat after 3days the host started behaving weirdly. Switched off water supply the same night before our checkout date. Any review which is above 4 stars have been added by his own fake accounts. I would lastly request JK Tourism to clean Dal Lake by removing this houseboat.

It is very dirty houseboat. Please guys don't visit this place ever..Owner of houseboat is alcoholic which makes things ever more worse. There is no water, electricity.
