An memorable experience.. !! We (me and couple of my friends) reached Kashmir during the days of Eid festival. It wasnt the ideal time to visit the place because not many rooms were available for stay. Luckily we came to know about Imy Homestay and called up Abdul. And he was open to accommodate us within a hours notice, despite his staff not being present to serve the guests. But still we were welcomed and were given a beautiful room with a view!! The place is close to centre and is at walkable distance from Nigeen lake. We were treated as family guests and were given home cooked food and were even provided with Eid specials. Abdul was very friendly and helpful and gave us advices on which all places we should visit since our time was limited. We stayed in Imy Homestay for 4 days but we feel like we are connected to the place and people for a long time. I hope to go back there again one day and experience the warmth of their hospitality. Like Abdul says “ come in as guests and leave as friends…” Highly recommend for anyone visiting Srinagar.

Comfortable and friendly stay 2 minutes walk from Nigeen lake. Quiet location (except for dogs barking at night, but that's all of Srinagar), fresh garden, and great food prepared daily by the house cook. The hosts live in the house and are very friendly: we has several good chats with Bashir and his son, who were also helpful in arranging a morning shikara to the floating market and a day tour in Srinigar. Still, nothing beats a good boathouse! We booked our stay at Bashir's through our hostel in Delhi (owned by Adbul, who's from Kashmir) who probably took a commission on the booking, which was not that much cheeper than the boathouse we stayed at later.

Hosts were very kind and helpful. A bit cold in the room during winter but there were electric blankets så sleeping was never an issue. Food was excellent.

Wonderful stay at Imy. The hospitality of the staffs are really commendable. Property is located just at the backside of Nigeen Lake, and the lake can be accessed by walk. Awesome ambience overall.

We had a great experience here, from day 1 to the day we checked out was super satisfactory.Felt like " at home". Imtiyaz and family and chef Nazir Bhai was too friendly and take care of us like family.We recommend it for all.....

Caretaker Mr. Imtiaz was very friendly and cooperative. The food prepared by him was great, stay was comfortable.The location was close to Nigeen lake. Really appreciate the helping nature of caretaker. Stay here is recommended.

It’s the best homestay in Srinagar and Kashmir! All the family members are really friendly and easy to talk to, it was always a pleasure to be around them! Imy is a really good host, he helped us organize trips and we always had interesting conversations with him and his father. The rooms were in a really good condition and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was working perfectly all the time. The cook, Nazeer, made the best food I have eaten in India so far! I would recommend booking your stay including breakfast and dinner! I enjoyed my stay really much and would definitely come again! <3 :)

Beat home stay ever. Food is excellent as we were vegetarians they gave home made food and everything was excellent. Abdul brother was very kind and polite person. He helped us a lot about the sightseeing places and others there.

The “Imy Guest house” is one of the must stay-in place in Srinagar. If anyone wants to experience Kashmiri culture and their hospitality, then Imy is a must stay place. A warm welcoming people, delicious food, hygienic and spacious rooms, all will make your stay comfortable, happy and satisfied. The host Nasir and Imtiyaz is always helpful and guide you in details. We had a great time staying here and will be coming back again and again whenever we visit Srinagar.

It was our very first time in Kashmir and it couldn’t be better than starting it with IMY homestay. It was our very first experience at a homestay and we loved it. The entire team from Imtiaz, Naseer & Zohair were so hospitable. The room given to us was facing Nageen lake and the view from our window was fantastic. The breathtaking view of Nageen lake, a few meters from our homestay was amazing and you cannot ask for more. Coming to the master chef Naseer @IMY made the most wonderful meals for us with so much love which was not only evident in the flavour of his preparation but also his hospitality. My wife is gluten intolerant and he did his best to prepare meals for her accordingly. I can’t get over the Kashmiri dum aloo and paneer matar that he made for us on our last day. Imtiaz the owner of the property is so humble & helpful. He kept in touch with me all through until I landed and made sure we didn’t have any hurdles. Amin bhai our guide/driver took such good care of us as if we were his family. This is our most memorable trip for a lifetime. Highly recommended!!

This is a hidden gem in Srinagar. We had such a wonderful time at Imy homestay with the whole family. Indeed very welcoming and we are so grateful for the kind of love and service we got. Homemade food was yummy delicious. We had hot water all the time in the washroom. Clean rooms and comfortable rooms. There was no disturbance at all. Away from the hustle bustle of dal lake road. I was there for 2 nights and it was a great experience ! It feels like home. The host, the caretaker and the whole family were very welcoming. Had a wonderful time with my friend Usmaan ❤️. Food was fresh and well served. The atmosphere of the house was very luxurious and top noch. Will definitely visit here again and wish you all the best. It is highly recommended.

WoW, this place is amazing. Booked for 1 day and end up staying there for four days. Fantabulous . Words can’t express everything .you need to be here to feel the best in class hospitality in the whole kashmir. Imtiyazbhai and his family was so humble and generous that we felt like in our home away from home. And then you meet Mr. Nasirbhai the caretaker of the property and he will blow ur mind not only with the quality of his food he serves you but also with his always smiling face ,service and caring attitude. The hygiene level is comparable to 5 star facilities. The price so cheap that actually they are providing u more than value for money. I’m sure you will extend your stay with them so beware and keep 2-3 days in hand so that you will not regret for short stay. Will definitely come back again and also recommend this homestay to all my dear and near ones. This place is located near nigin lake which is a quiet place. We stayed for a couple of nights and got to experience excellent Kashmiri Hospitality. The food was amazing. Will be craving that chicken soon. 😋 The house has pleasant gardens to relax. And the hosts Zahoor and Abdul were both amazingly fun and hospitable. The houses are nice, warm and cosy. Already planning my next Kashmir stay here!

This place is a gem in the middle of the streets of old Srinagar.. a lovely place with lovely hosts that define the famous Kashmir hospitality. Lovely food, gorgeous cosy rooms and an apples from their gardens, this homestay is a wonderful find which I will book everytime I am in Srinagar again!

The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect for vacation and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Nasir bhai was very well experienced with cooking. He made very delicious food for us every day veg and non veg both. They shared there personal life experience with us during bonfire and same us(vice versa) Nasir bhai Imtiyaz bhai Feroz bhai were so delightful and always ready to help and they were 24*7 available. The Food, Staff, Location all were so great 👍. The best hotel i have ever been and 100% will recommend this home stay to my colleagues. Will give the 5/5 star ⭐

I came to Imys homestay for 5 nights and it was a great experience of both adventure and experiencing the local lifestyle. You can go skiing and hiking easily from here in the beautiful mountains of Sonamarg and Gulmarg. Imy is very patient and kind and will help you and take you to do anything you like (in my case - finding wedding outfits!) The family are very friendly and calm and the chef cooks delicious meals and drinks morning noon and night to keep you nourished for the duration of your stay and let you experience a huge variety of Indian meals and teas, all homemade from natural, local ingredients. The house is situated in the town and you can walk to the shops and see how the local bakers make their bread every morning, if you want to experience this. This city is beautiful in the summer and the winter. The house is cosy with electric blankets, blow heaters, gas heaters, hot showers and of course hot meals and drinks on tap 😉 I really felt at home here, which was great as I was travelling alone. The family make you feel at ease and let you work to your own times including meal preparation at your desired time, airport pick ups and drop offs etc. I can’t recommend it more and I am so grateful for the hospitality I experienced. If you stay with Imy you will get the best Kashmiri experience!

2000 rps a night including dinner and breakfast. The rooms are super nice and so is the whole house, the garden. The hosts are super kind, talkative , helpful. Nearby the lake within walking distance (10 min max) Food super nice, veg or non veg to your preference and very tasty The place is very quiet , nearby a clean and well maintained park. Oh and l have to add: l had an electric blanket to warm the bed! I highly recommend this homestay if you'd like to treat yourself and like being taken care of. thank you so much

I had a wonderful time staying at Imy Homestay in Srinagar. Owned and managed by a lovely family, I felt completely at home here. The rooms are well-kept and the homestay is beautiful with a pretty garden in front. The food and kahwa made by Naseer bhai is divine after a long day of city exploration. I stayed here with my fellow trek mates before and after our trek and our experience here was simply amazing! Though somewhat far from the airport, it is located in a charming locality with orchards around. I would definitely recommend to stay here and experience their excellent hospitality.

Amazing hospitality. Infact the best I've experienced so far. Imy Homestay is simply beautiful, the interior of the rooms and the entire house gives you the experience of living in a wholesome and luxurious Kasmiri household. I lived here for 3 days on a workation and wifi was working well. The host are helpful and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious, veg and non veg both. You are not served as a guest but as family member. Special thanks to Naseer bhai for the delightful dinner and extra amazing Kashmiri Kawa ❤️

It was an amazing, safe and I would recommend this place to anybody who is likely to visit Kashmir. The prices are reasonable, the place is beautiful and the view is terrific. Great food, cleanliness and the ever-smiling faces of the hosts Mr. Abdul and Nasser just made our stay all the more pleasant.

Imy homestay is a perfect homestay in Kashmir run by a loving family. We stayed here for 6 nights and no doubt, we would stay here again. Everyone in the family is very welcoming and helpful. Their generous hospitality made us very comfortable stay and practically feels like home. Room is very nice and warm. This house has a beautiful lawn to relax with a cup of Kashmiri Kahwa and enjoy the gorgeous view of Zabarwan range. This house is located just 2 minutes walking distance from wonderful Nigeen Lake and an adjacent nice park. Naseer bhai is an amazing cook. Each time the food by Naseer bhai was healthy and delicious. I highly recommend this homestay. Stay here and enjoy a homely stay in Kashmir.

I stayed in Imy Homestay for 3 days and the experience was wonderful. The host, Mr. Abdul, as well as the caretaker, Mr. Naser, were friendly and welcoming. The homestay has a big front garden that gets ample sunshine, and the food served is delicious. Rooms are clean and well maintained. One thing that can be improved - basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. can be kept for use in the washroom.
