A great place to visit that was local to me, and I didn't know about it until a few days ago. An excellent place to visit whether on your own or with kids. Some of the buses are open for you to look around. The information boards are informative and well written. The place is a credit to all the volunteers there.

A great place to see many of the old style buses and vehicles. Run by a friendly and enthusiastic team of volunteers. Took my two young grandchildren and they loved it. This also housed the model railways which again were amazing to see. Highly recommend you visit.

First time visiting this museum and it was excellent. There's a variety of transport there mainly buses. Also there is a eating area and toilets. Outside is a good size car park ( upto 50 cars ) and it's free at the weekends.

Found this by accident but pleased we did.The museum is a former depot so its just as important as the collection within its walls.Surprisingly large collection of mainly local made buses which you can go on some of them.Although not from the area it was definitely a trip down memory lane.Easily spend a good couple of hours in there.Well worth a visit for any transport buff👍

Went to the classic car show here was great, but there is so much more, vintage buses and trams, model railways and lots of history of St Helens. Also got a brew. Its a big open space so it was a bit chilly, wrap up or pick the weather. Definitely worth a visit.

A really interesting and informative museum, friendly and very helpful staff. And a great ride out out in a vintage bus. Best afternoon I've had in ages, could have spent longer. Strongly recommend.

We've just had a brilliant afternoon here, my son loved it, he was so excited to be able to go on several of the buses that were on show and the free bus rides around St helens were an absolute highlight for us! It was great to see how transport has changed over the years especially seeing an old Crosville double decker that my 91 year old nan has spoken about, telling us about it taking her to work in Speke in the 50's. And being able to look inside one of the buses that I fondly remember getting to widnes town with my other nan when I was young during the 90's, exactly as I remembered it. My son also loved the police car and the man was very kind showing him how everything worked and giving him a police hat and jacket to wear! Will definitely be back here at some point in the future!

We visited as a school trip with a group of autistic pupils. Wow this is a great place for the children to see the history of transport. Keith Naylor went above and beyond, he gave us a tour and was very knowledgeable about the museum and vehicles. He was great with the children and couldn't do enough for us. Thankyou you really made our visit special!

Fabulous displays of buses, cars and motorcycles. A play area for children with extensive Brio train sets. A free tour bus leaves regularly taking passengers round the Borough with entertaining guides providing a running commentary during the trip. Clean facilities and a tea and coffee service. A very good day out.

Run by volunteers. Fantastic day out and as it was Sunday parking in St Helens was easy. Lots of magnificent exhibits in super condition. Brought back many memories of my childhood. Well worth a visit and you also get a short trip on an open top vintage bus. Priceless!!

I saw the old trams that my dad as a boy would take a free ride on. sitting on the bumper with an arm over the headlight! The busses show how they changed over the years. Seeing the busses from the 70s brought back loads of memories. One or two were appropriate to share too. Some great vehicles. It would be great to see them out in the open on a sunny day.
