Delicious lemon drizzle cake and peppermint tea consumed in a wonderfully characteristic environment. The presentation of the lemon drizzle cake was a real surprise, probably the best presentation for a slice of cake I've experienced in a very long time. Staff very pleasant. Definitely returning to try the cheesecake next week.

Excellent place for a coffee or light lunch. Surrounded by books and peaceful atmosphere. Take your time, no pressure from staff at all. Excellent toilet facilities with real towels to use then put into the laundry basket. A favourite place and will keep returning 😊

A sensational area for young kids to play while coffees are had (the Babychinos were well received) and the coffee was excellent. Had a chocolate pastry also which was decent. All service was with a smile. Go here with kids in a relaxed environment and you will be able to have a coffee in relative peace

Good morning (just !!) Today is extremely cold and so finding somewhere nice to enjoy a warm drink and a bite to eat is at the top of my agenda. Pippa and I decided to plump for one of our regulars that we go to called ‘Hanushka’. As far as I’m aware, the owners have two such establishments and both are amazing. They are definitely a book worms idea of heaven with almost every wall completely covered with bookshelves and filled to the brim with books of all descriptions. The atmosphere is very conducive to relaxing and enjoying a warm drink. The staff are warm and very welcoming and they are extremely efficient which makes for a very good experience. The food is always very good and tastes wonderful, and they also cater for vegetarians which is not always the case. They serve a mixture of sandwiches, hot and cold, numerous cakes and pastries, and drinks of all forms. Currently they are also serving mulled wine for those who partake of this tipple at this time of year and yet again, it tastes wonderful. All in all I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to take a break from the humdrum of continual shopping and cold weather, you won’t be disappointed. In the end you would need to decide for yourself but I have nothing to but praise for this place. Try it yourself …….. Back here again and the atmosphere, food and service are still as great. You won’t be disappointed

A place for inspiration for sure. It's what you want your living room to look like, if you love books. Coffee and cakes are good, but the overall experience is what matters. Recommended if you visit Hastings and you want to relax, while picking up a book from their shelves and browsing through it. 😄

Loved the atmosphere and thousands of books lining the walls of this stylish cafe: a lovely place to unwind a stone’s throw from the sea in the centre of Hastings

If you're looking for a coffee shop that takes its craft seriously, look no further than Hanushka Coffee. This small, independent coffee shop has everything you need to enjoy a truly exceptional cup of coffee. Their special coffee blend is simply outstanding - it's rich, smooth, and full of flavor. But what really sets Hanushka Coffee Shop apart is their commitment to fresh produce and bespoke service. Every drink is made to order, according to your personal preferences, using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. The staff are some of the friendliest people. Overall, I highly recommend Hanushka Coffee Shop to anyone who loves a good cup of coffee. Whether you're looking for a quick pick-me-up or a leisurely afternoon spent savoring the flavors of your favorite brew, you won't be disappointed. Food is amazing too, all fresh produce made to order tailored to your personal preference. This is truly the best coffee shop in Hastings!

The cakes! Oh so good! And the coffee is excellent too. I love all the 'bookshop' style decor and the friendly and efficient staff too.

Lovely deco and nice coffee. A place to spend the afternoon reading on s rainy (or sunny). The pastries were not appealing so I went for the fruit porridge, which was lovely.

Service is a hit and miss and sometimes very unfriendly, still a great place to hang out, very atmospheric with very good cakes and (most times) good coffee. Avoid busy times

Very nice staff, lovely cakes, good coffee with a little biscuit on the side. Nice atmosphere and dog friendly. Shelves full of books and a children’s area with toys and their own books. There are some big tables for groups and a couple of comfy sofas' to relax on too. Has 4g signal but there is wifi.

This is the second consecutive visit in the space of 6 weeks and we won’t be going again. The service is so S L O W. 30 minutes from order to table and yet not many diners. The waitresses are clearly stressed and all is executed without a welcoming smile

The setting is very nice and comfortable. I ordered a panini with mozzarella basil and tomatoes, it was rather bland and the bread seemed like it was of the supermarket value section. However, the salad the food came with was enjoyable. I also ordered an iced mocha, which was lukewarm at best. Perhaps I didn't order the correct items on the menu, and would try it again to prove myself wrong.

Love this place, just wish they'd chop up the lettuce in the caesar salad

A cool atmosphere, hundreds of books lining the walls, most looked new, the coffee was O.K, but very small cup for a 'large' one. The food was fine too, but the prices were a little steep. My main gripe, was that the very young staff ignored us, while we waited at the counter for them to finish what they were doing, instead of acknowledging our presence, and saying they would be with us shortly. I put that down to immaturity and shyness.
