Came in with 5 reusable bags of clothing & shoes. When i returned they had told me they were able to purchase 4 items for $30 something dollars. i accepted it & decided to further look at my clothes once i got home to see if there were things i missed as to why they wouldn’t accept my clothing. as i started to take out some clothing from my bags, i realized after i uncovered the top layer that they didn’t even look at all my clothing. i knew this for sure because i had rolled all of my clothes before placing them in the bags. & sure enough they were all rolled up in the exact same place i had placed them in there! i was surprised to say the least. i have worked at the red deer location for 3 years as a manager , i am shocked there isn’t more supervision to make sure the staff is actually looking at what people are bringing in! i would rather drive the 1.5 hrs to red deer to sell my clothes than this location! *photos taken after visit. 2nd photo is everything i brought in! 87 items total.*

Normally, I like taking clothes here as they are reasonable with what they sort through and purchase. Of note is today though - checking in 2 totes of clothes and being told it would take 45-60 min, and then Receiving a text saying my clothes are ready for pick up 8 minutes later after leaving the store. It appears as if they looked through the top two layers of clothes( if that) and just dismissed everything else. The second bin was in the EXACT same order. They also took nothing. While I understand that they are “looking for certain things” I think better practice would be to make sure people are inclined to bring their clothes here. Creating the impression that you are A) not sorting through the clothes at all and B) not making reasonable efforts to purchase, makes it feel like people can’t bring their clothes here. I’m no clothes appraiser but what was brought in today was treated as an afterthought. I am also not surprised by the comments of the management on recent reviews. I recommend being extremely cautious of this location as your clothes are better served elsewhere.

What does it take for the owners to clue in they are missing out in profit because of nasty staff. Your loss. I looked at so many of the reviews, and the bad customer service ones are always about KAREN the manager or the Scottish lady. And based on the follow up response time and language it seems to be written by her. Customer service is terrible. Store manager Karen is a has absolutely no interaction skills and is very combative. When asked about a previous issue in store, I explained to her. Not raising my voice and explaining. She became hyper sensitive and wouldn’t let me explain. Then said she was going to flag me in the system. I’ve sold and bought from the stores for years and never have I dealt with anything like this. She is on a power trip. She told me to leave and I can’t sell. I was not rude I just explained what had happened and she asked me. This woman is just looking for a fight. It was disgusting. Good job Karen. Just obnoxious disgusting behaviour. There are so MANY complaints about this manager!!! What a miserable person.

Had the quickest and most pleasant selling experience on a late Friday morning at this location. The store itself is one of the tidiest and spacious Plato’s Closets that I’ve been to. You can walk around relatively easily without bumping into clothes that are hanging askew. From a quick browse there was a very nice selection of clothes that all seemed like they were more thoughtfully selected. Found a great pair of men’s Lululemon pants for $35.

It’s better to donate your clothes rather than taking it there at least it’s going to a good cause and not profit off them, I tool about 100 pieces of clothing there and they ended up taking a few pieces of my lululemon and Joe fresh in perfect condition the Joe fresh still have the tag on the rude lady told me 3.50 i ended up taking them back and donate it. Never again I will take clothes there .

Good selection of women’s Lululemon, not much for men’s. Older manager (I’m assuming) shouldn’t be working in customer service, just comes across as annoyed/rude with everything she says. Makes it hard to want to sell or buy anything. Went to buy a lululemon sweatshirt, mentioned it had a stain on it and the manager took it from me, I had to say that I didn’t say I didn’t want it, just wanted to know if they discount damaged items. I did receive 10% off, and the cashier was very nice and let me know I had enough points for money off on my next visit. Probably won’t be back to the south location though.

Great service and merchandise Been to the previous south side location and the now the new one. Great service- staff are friendly, greet customers upon arrival, help find things, run the change rooms efficiently, and conduct the consigning process well. Good selection of items and prices. Highly recommend this location, and thank you for the positive experience!

The worst Plato's closet in Edmonton. I had to deal with the rude manager who just yelled at everything. I din know that they did not accept pajama, but she wanted me to remove all the pj from three big bags that I brought. I meant if you don't, you can just leave them aside, dont buy them. She yelled at me again when I was not too sure about their selling system. Yes, it was not my first time there but it won't kill to explain to me again. They also don't have many collections available now. I came to this location because it is the nearest. I'd better drive 30 mins to the other locations. Please let me know when the management is rolling or if the attitude is better. I would love to come in again.
