*If
you
have
an
animal
that
has
fear
based
aggression/behaviour
struggles*
.
My
partner
and
I
were
fostering
an
abused
cat,
and
he
has
fear-based
aggression.
After
a
year
and
no
adoption
applications,
we
decided
to
keep
him.
The
vet
we
took
to
him
prior
wasn't
our
choice,
and
they
wouldn't
try
to
accommodate
him
and
never
offered
sedation
or
medication
to
calm
him
down.
Companion
wanted
to
follow
his
lead,
and
even
though
the
first
time
we
went,
we
couldn't
give
him
his
vaccines,
he
didn't
associate
this
place
with
being
bad/scary.
The
second
time,
they
gave
us
some
meds,
he
was
sedated,
and
they
did
a
wellness
check
and
his
vaccines.
It
was
almost
entirely
stress-free,
and
the
staff
there
were
amazing.
It's
out
of
our
way,
but
I
know
our
cat
will
be
treated
well
and
won't
be
forced
to
get
things
done.
