😠 We have ordered from Nosh before and really enjoyed their food but tonight’s order was incredibly disappointing. The veggie korma sauce was flavourful, but where usually there is fresh cauliflower, carrots and potatoes, tonight’s was just frozen mixed vegetables. For 13$, we expect higher quality.... People often mention chicken, ordered, time, good, great, order, Indian, butter, Great, service,

Found this place on a whim. We ordered a masala dosa and a Chana masala dosa and they were both delicious! Very happy with the service! Highly recommend

I just ordered a butter chicken combo through skip the dishes. I've eaten at the downtown location a few times but this is my first time ordering here. The butter chicken is sweet to the point of being inedible. Almost tastes like ketchup is the base. I hope this was a one time bad batch and not a new recipe. Probably won't chance ordering here again.

Long time ordered and lover of the vegan butter chicken. But I ordered it yesterday and it’s been changed, which is fine. The problem I have is it now is basically tomato soup and not butter chicken at all. What happened, guys?

I’ve been here nearly 4 times in less than 3 weeks and I am absolutely blown away by this restaurant. The food is 100% worth it. You get more than what you pay for (portion & taste). I HIGHLY recommend the GARLIC NAAN BREAD. It is a very light flavour. Even by itself it is the most DELICIOUS!! I have tried their butter chicken combo (which took me a while to completely finish) that came with the chicken, rice, a little salad, the dessert, and chickpea. Everything on the platter satisfied my palette to satiate (butter chicken + rice), refresh/cleanse (salad), and sweeten (dessert) I also recommend their chai beverages. Very smooth, subtle, and light tasting. I’ve tried similar menus from similar restaurants, but something about this restaurant tastes more authentic. I feel a true home-made vibe from it. The food doesn’t taste “TOO good,” if you catch my drift. Good enough to want more but not too good that it sickly overwhelms you. Will always love coming here to grab a snack or satisfy my hunger cravings. You won’t be disappointed!

It has been my third time returning here within just a week or two. I have always been so happy with everything I've ordered- which is impressive because I've always been switching up my meal every time. They are always kind welcoming and provide great portion sizes! I am a vegan and it doesn't taste like the food is vegan at all, it is creamy and delicious. It is comfort food and perfect for times like these. Thank you for everything.

I dined here with two companions. The service was outstanding and the food was even better. We had a selection of veg and non-veg items and they were all delicious. The mango lassi, rice and nan were terrific also. This was honestly the best Indian food that I have had in quite some time. Delicious food and lots of it and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Best lamb curry I've had in a long time. Other dishes were flavourful as well. And easy to order GLUTEN FREE.

This place is not affiliated with Nosh Cafe on 124th street, but it appears they are operating as though they are to lure in customers (listed as Nosh Cafe (Northside) on UberEats.) They also have a "fattoush salad" on the menu that is served without the traditional sumac dressing, giving you tomato sauce instead. Not a fattoush salad. And I've never met anyone that wants tomato sauce on a salad.

Would highly recommend if you are into this type of cuisine. Very friendly and sweet staff. Food was well-prepared, arrived hot, and tasty. Also, very well-priced for the portions and quality of food.

One of the best Indian foods in the city, after going Nosh I can't go back. Butter chicken is perfect and my kids are obsessed with their chili chicken. Never have been disappointed

Had food here yesterday and I was astonished by the quality, when it arrived at our table it left my mouth watering not to mention as I entered, The authentic aromatic spices I could smell enhanced my experience immensely. We ordered the Butter Chicken, and Vegetable Korma and the garlic naan and it was way better than I expected (and my expectations were really high). Service was also phenomenal, we felt welcomed and all of our requests were met. Had the best Indian food of my life(I’ve tried many Indian restaurants here). This place is such a hidden gem and I will be returning for sure, 10/10 will recommend to anyone craving high quality Indian food. Thank you for giving me such a great experience!!

The food is actually really good... I went to eat in, which this place is clearly not set up for, although it does accommodate diners it's clearly meant as a takeout joint. I've seen fast food places with better ambiance... But that food! It's great value, and high quality. The Lamb was really nicely cooked... And there was nothing we didn't like

I have been coming to this restaurant for awhile now and has become my favourite. However, on my last visit the fries we received were badly burned. I don’t know what they meant by this. Very disappointed as we arrived home with the order.

This place was such a disappointment. I ordered from here a couple months back and the food was extremely sweet, it was as if I was eating candied chicken. I decided to try it out again last week and I got the butter paneer and it was horrible! I ordered the hot and it wasn't even a tiny bit spicy, it was once again sweet. It had no flavor, tasted like watered down tomato sauce. Will not be trying this place again and definitely would NOT recommend it if you want good Indian food. -10/10

Excellent Indian food on the North Side! We have had a number of items off of their menu and everything has been a hit! The staff is super friendly and patient as you place your order. We've also been given samples of their chai latte, which is so so good. Their butter chicken is awesome, all of their portion sizes are big, which means leftovers for lunch the next day! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I used to love this restaurant but it has not been good the last couple of times I ordered. Is there a new cook? I ordered a chicken Tikka dosa tonight. Usually the crepe is crispy but this one is not. It is soggy and tastes raw especially where the filling is. Time to find a new Indian restaurant. Too

  • 3/5 John S. 2 years ago on Google
Love the food its amazing well-made homemade and do the little things that make it even better but if you’re getting them to deliver through skip the dishes I have had my order messed up at least five times. Food is great but go get it so you can get what you paid for. Vegan friendly owner cheap skate. Foods a five but shorting me five separate times

I stopped in here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The lunch combo was a great deal for the amount of food that was given. The portion was huge, flavours were excellent and the variety in the lunch combo was nice. The owner was so kind to me as well. Their tandoori oven wasn’t ready when I ordered so they made me roti to have instead of naan. Part way through my meal she came out with a huge basket of naan and told me to take it home! Great food and service. I will be back!

It's hard to find anything for lunch in the Namao area that has anything resembling a vegetable. I decided to try out Nosh and wasn't disappointed! After speaking to the cashier, I chose the palaak paneer wrap and a chai. Unlike the other Indian restaurants we've tried that seem to be so inconsistent with their regular-medium-spicy, medium was medium, and the wrap was large and delicious with a small cup of a sweet sauce to offset the spice. The chai was creamy and frothy and a great accompaniment to the wrap. All told, with a tip, the bill was just over $15.00, or close to what fast food would have cost. This will definitely be on our list of places to go!

I've been ordering from this location for years, and if you'd asked me a month ago who had the best Indian food in Edmonton, I would have told you Nosh, no contest. The past couple months I've ordered from them 3 times, the same exact thing I've been ordering for years. Coconut curry chicken, and a vegan butter chicken with cocunut rice and garlic naan. The first order was frankly inedible and missing the naan. Both currys had been changed to something resembling a watery soup and the fake meat in the vegan order was absolutely disgusting. The second order several weeks later was similar, extremely watered down, almost no chicken at all in the cocunut curry, and again the fake meat was totally different in the butter chicken and absolutely revolting. The third time they straight up cancelled our order, maybe we've been black balled? No idea. I'd never actually had an ordered cancelled with skip before in ten years of using the platform. It's extremely sad because this restaurant used to be amazing and we would order almost once a week from them. Maybe it's the rising cost of food, or the pandemic, but this place is absolutely awful now and should be avoided. Their skip score has also dropped from a 10 to 8.7 in 2 months so something definitely happened.

This was the 3rd time I ordered from the 97st location and all 3 times the food was disgusting! Chicken that was dry dry and too hard to chew and pickled turnips were in whole pieces. I love the food at the 124st location. The 97 st location sucks big time! If I could give it no stars I would.

We called them a day in advance to prepare a meal that was extremely time sensitive due to an elderly family member being admitted to hospital that day. Despite a few calls to reinforce this including hours before the pick-up, the food was not ready. After waiting for 25 minutes or more, we had to get a refund and leave. So everybody missed lunch, and an elderly lady was sent to hospital hungry. We will never return here again.

Thanks for canceling my order. Much appreciated. I didn't really need or want food, anyway, and it was expecting far too much of you to ask for some curry and rice. Every recent review suggests I dodged a bullet anyway. I'm done with this place.

Went in for some appetizers. We ordered Vegg samosas, dahi ballay and a chicken tikka wrap. Samosa stuffing had a really bad smell as if it had gone bad and was used anyway. ( they didnt charge us for the samosas after we informed them). The dahi ballay were below average. The chicken tikka wrap which tasted awful. It says its suppose to be an indian style wrap I dont know where they got that idea from but they should definitely discontinue those wraps. However, the customer service was good

Second time being here, both times ordered vegan Butter Chicken. First time was alright. Second and last time: terrible! Weirdly sweet like Campbells tomato soup. No spices, not even garam masala detectable. Won’t go back. Whoever this new cook is they need to learn how to cook!

I have been to this location a handful of times and every time I am SO impressed! I have ordered to dine in & from skip the dishes before. When I ordered it to my home everything was still fresh & warm. I also received a free dish with a purchase over 35$ dollars so that was a great addition! Their staff is extremely friendly & always has my order out in a timely manner. Every single thing I have tried from there has been so flavourful & they keep me coming back for more. On top of all of this, I have dietary restrictions of no gluten & they have been able to accommodate me everytime. They have plenty of gluten free options & I have never had an issue with anything they have prepared for me. This is a little place of heaven close to my home & I would highly recommend trying this place out if you haven’t. Thank you so much for providing such great services Nosh Cafe!

Nice variety to choose from. I ordered the lunch special, coconut chicken but got coconut fish. I ate it anyway. The butter chicken is good but a little bit more on the tomato side than a creamy/tomato but everyone cooks if differently. Thanks for the nice lunch

I've already ordered from here a hand full of times since they opened. The food is always great. The Chai is delicious and the pick up time is accurate. I am sad I am moving to the south side now.

Update 2 Summarized: Tables are dirty because not cleaned up fast after a customer leave. Potentially spreading covid or germs. Detailed: My table had some grease in one end so I moved but while eating I noticed 3 groups left and the young girl worker took a long time to take the plates out and left the tables dirty for about 10 minutes (not busy though). During that time 2 groups came and sat in 2 dirty tables AND the girl didn't warm them or moved them AND left them there to order. I will never eat inside there to be contaminated. Update 1: Forgot to update my previous experience but now I can say the food is really good, workers very pleasant too. Lamb platter is a must try.

Third time ordering food. DELICIOUS. Always on time, always prepared as ordered. My one complaint: VERY CHINSY on the chicken in the Butter Chicken. Barely enough chicken for 1 person in it , let alone 2 or 3. I ordered directly over the phone and did a pick up. On time, accurate.

Expectations were too high after read their reviews. Poor presentation, taste okay, good service, but overall not a great experience. I was really looking forward to the dirty chai but disappointed when I found out they use tea bags.

This may be unexpected, but this place has the best chicken wings I've ever had in my life. You have to try the butter chicken wings! They will rival any pub or wing joint out there! I also love their palak paneer, dal tadka and chicken tikka. Amazing food! My favourite Indian restaurant in the city!

I love Indian food and this was so good! Love the aromas from the coconut fish curry and chicken tikka masala as soon as you open it up. Both dishes had a bold curry flavour to them and you can taste all these herbs and spices. The fish pakora was perfectly seasoned and tasted really good. The naan bread tasted fresh like it was made to order and dipping them into those curry dishes was so good! Adding a scoop of the curry over the basmati rice was just as good.

  • 5/5 Jeffrey S. 3 years ago on Google
Ordered from here for delivery. The food was very good. Big menu with a good variety. We had tandoori chicken wrap, lamb biryani, butter chicken with rice, and the best garlic naan bread ever tried. Every part of this meal had excellent flavour. Portion sizes are large and price was good value. I will be returning in the near future.

Food was great! Except for the chilli cauliflower, it was soggy and if cooked a little longer would of been better. No picture because I ate too fast lol. I will order from here again.

Went last night to squeeze in a sit-down dinner before the illegal lockdowns are amped up. As usual, great food and friendly service. I had my favourite - the dhal makhani and it was rich and creamy as I like it. We tried the cauliflower bites too and enjoyed them. Keep supporting local establishments like this, please. Be mindful about where you vote with your dollars.

I was so happy to see Nosh open up on the North side because up until this point, I haven't been able to find a restaurant on the North side that serves dosa. I had a masala dosa, some veggie pakora and a mango lassie. The Sambhar that came with the dosa was pretty good. Less spicy than I've had it at other Indian restaurants. The dosa was nice and the pakora were very flavorful and the lassie was perfect and sweet I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to trying out some other menu items.
