Amazing little wine shop!!!!! The owner is amazingly knowledgeable and friendly. We had an amazing time doing a tasting with him through Somm and picked up a delicious wine for home. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area!

Great local place in St. Catharines. The owner is super knowledgeable and will help find you a wine that suits your tastes or event coming up. Lots of great tastings events that help you get to know many of the great winemakers in the region. Archives has become a regular place to pop in while downtown!

From the moment I walked in, Uncle Bobby treated me like family. His precise and inquisitive nature helped narrow down exactly what wine would be suitable for the evening with my lovely wife, Loraine. The shop has a diverse range of beverages, but Uncle Bobby’s ability to steer me in the right direction made me reminisce about my time sailing through Montego Bay on the Antelope. The seas were rough but the 6 year venture was worth it. I also appreciated the alfresco decor which is a nice change from the harsher colours and hues I’m used to from local wine bars in the area. 5 stars and keep up the good work.

Non pretentious wine bar/store. Great prices and an eclectic variety of wines for purchase. Back bar seating area is nice and cozy for a few friends to gather around for a drink.

I'd give this store 10 stars if I could! Awesome service, fabulous selection of wines to take home or try in store, at reasonable prices. Fantastic atmosphere too. Great wines that you can't get at the LCBO from local Niagara wineries and beyond. Robbie, the owner, is super knowledgeable and a great host. Tasting nights with local winemakers are truly excellent. Ordering wine by the bottle with just a $5 corkage fee is the best kept secret in Niagara! I'm planning on holding a private event there in the future too. In the meantime, I'm ordering online when I can't get into the store. Support our local St. Catharines merchants!

Robbie is the man to go to! Whether you’re looking for a bottle of wine to impress at a dinner party, or something to sip on a cozy night in with the spouse, he has something for you. He knows his inventory and as is always friendly about getting to know what he think you’d like. I always try to pop in when I’m in the area, because you never know what bottles you might find, and might not stock again. Can’t say enough good things, so you’ll just have to check it out for yourself!

Fantastic local wine shop. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, generous, and enthusiastic for lesser-known local Niagara wines. These are typically small batch and not available elsewhere (other than the vineyard proper), really competitively priced, carefully selected to highlight the incredible quality of Niagara wines! The shop also holds regular wine tasting nights, which allow customers to discover some new wine makers. Moreover, really impressed at the online option - we had our wine delivered to our doorstep. Overall, you can't find a better bottle shop in Niagara!

The best kept secret in wine country. Top selection of really small batch wines with a number of deals to be found under $20. Friendly and knowledgable staff and great wines by the glass.

Great wine, great vibes, great staff. Was helped by a Mr. Raskin who had a commanding knowledge of wine and recommended a fantastic bottle. Will definitely return soon.

Archives is a great little shop in downtown St. Catharines. Good selection of local wines (some exclusive to the shop!) with great service from owner, Robbie. Robbie knows his wine and is happy to walk you through his selection and give recommendations. I also appreciate that he highlights new up and coming wineries and hosts winemaker-led tastings. 10/10 will come back here!

My wife and I stopped in one summer day, we have returned many times since and will continue to do so. If you like discovering great wine that cannot be purchased at the LCBO then this is your place. Some wineries are too small to get into the LCBO - Archives is there to represent these wineries. Small batch local wines? They have that too. We hosted a Wine and Cheese event there recently and it was a smashing success. The wines were wonderful and their hospitality ever better. Give Archives a try and you will not be disappointed.

Archives is a much needed addition to downtown. It has all your wine needs and they are always there to provide perfect suggestions!! Definitely a must if you’re looking for a great wine to go with dinner or even a glass on the patio.

Goodbye to the usual Pepperjack and hello to the wonderful recommendations this lovely place has to offer. Beyond impressed with the knowledge these sommeliers harbour. I won’t be going anywhere else anywhere soon to get my daily bottle of fermented berries
