I love their authentic Neapolitan pizza!! I usually get the funghi but this time I also got the ‘nduja -- they were both very delicious with a perfectly charred and blistered crust. I've been to a few Pizzeria Libretto locations and the quality is consistently great. Reservations are accepted. We were walk-ins on a Tuesday night and there was no wait. There's plenty of seating. Update: I came back a month later on a Thursday night and there was no wait to get a table for two. This time I got the duck confit Neapolitan pizza and the Hawaiian New York-style thin crust pizza. They were both very tasty. The Neapolitan pizza is a medium 12-inch pizza, while the New York-style pizza is an extra large 16-inch pizza.

Amazing food! We hadn’t visited here before and loved it. Amazing meatballs. We loved the pepperoni pizza and the arugula and prosciutto pizza, both on gluten free crust. The best gluten free pizza in Toronto. Lovely staff too. Can’t wait to come back.

One of the best pizza in Dtown. The food is amazing and the customer service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place has got really good vibe. Its like peace in chaos. Good to spend some quality time with someone. Overall, highly highly recommended for the best pizza. The dough was perfect, soft from inside and crisp from outside. Loved the food!

Coming from a town that’s known for its pizza’s I was impressed with this place! Needing to get a late night snack, we popped into to this place on the way to the hotel. It was close to closing time, so we needed to order quickly. We were given the 10 minute warning for last calls to order our pizza’s before the wood fired oven closed for the night. For the four of us, we definitely needed two pizza’s to share. The wood fired pizza’s were wonderful! The bread was lightly toasted, still warm and refreshing! Great service and atmosphere. It was kind of quiet when we got there, but it was late at night.

Incredible gluten free crust! Caution!! The menu clearly marks cross contamination WILL happen, so eat at your own risk. The dough is cooked in the same wood fired oven but the result is delicious! I ordered the duck confit pizza 10/10 recommend! I appreciate their effort to making something gluten free and delicious. The nature of the wood fire oven does not make it 100% gluten free, but for some it will be a great option! There was a lot of seating, so many pizza options, and fun drinks. The service was so friendly and helpful.

Amazing!! Walked in here with my family needing an immediate table for 5, and Josh did what we thought was the impossible tonight. He and his team assisted us right away and their service was over the top amazing. I can’t even begin to describe how delicious the pizza is!!!! Thin crust, heavenly sauce, and just everything you’re looking for after a rough night. From the service to the food to the decor, we were really impressed. Definitely suggest Pizzeria Libertto. We’re coming back for sure! Thanks Josh!

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurant. Have been there in past and quality has still been maintained well. We ordered salad and arancini for starters and they were both outstanding. Drinks were great as well. Vegetarian choices could have been better. Especially nothing om the spicier side for the topping, which was an only limitation. Can't wait to go again and try something new.

This place is actually more spacious than it appears on the outside. Unfortunately the table sizes aren’t the biggest but it works if you don’t intend to order a bunch of pizzas. The calamari was tasty and the servers were nice and friendly and didn’t kick us out or even “nicely” kick us out when the place was technically closed past 10pm. My only complaint was that my funghi pizza was too salty. It got kind of gross at the end where that’s all I could taste.

We came here to try it because my wife is a celiac and heard it is some of the best gluten-free pizza around, well they weren’t wrong so we came back again! I personally ate the gluten pizza as I don’t have any allergy and tried the other one as well and must say that the crust is one of the best if not the best I have tried and believe me I have tried a lot! The typical cardboard, dense, gummy, chewy, bland, dry, crust you might have had before will be no more, this is heaven for celiac my wife says as pizza never tasted so good. I will say I fell similar, quality wise it is top notch pizza but it isn’t the cheapest and prefer a little more generous with toppings, one pizza is pepperoni and another is double in the photos.

How to tell a place has good pizza: see if there is a proper pizza oven! Fresh ingredients and quality olive oil make up the rest. Try a margherita for reference. Had a yummi focaccia and a great pizza margherita. Was served very nicely and they brought plain olive oil as well as some black pepper upon request. Tap water was free and served without asking for it. Prices were fair and paying was simple (possible via QR code). The experience was very true of the meaning of "omotenashi" (Japanese - look it up). I'll be back for more. Grazie mille!

Shara was an excellent hospitality server! We overstayed our welcome from March 09th but we will visit again. Hopefully, we’ll remember to try calamari. - Stress free & smooth dining experience (no reservation). - Accessible and impeccable restrooms. - Pretty interior potted plants.

Came here for pizza but ended up loving the Gnocchi. Perhaps one of the softest and mouth melting Gnocchi I have had. Tiramisu portion was generous, delicious and perfectly sweet. And the drink (Terry’s Rip) packed a punch. Staff and service is what I would expect from a place with reputation. I highly recommend a visit.

Quality of food: 5/5 - great tasting pizzas, calamari was delicious with the different sauces Cleanliness: 5/5 - very clean, has nice booths for 2 or 4 people. Clean individual person washrooms. Service: 5/5 - friendly staff who provided daily specials as well Value for money: 4/5 - reasonably priced for a restaurant downtown Recommendation: 5/5 - great tasting pizza and appetizers, would recommend if in the mood for pizza and if you are in the area. Reservations are recommended if you prefer a booth but sitting at the bar is also an option

The pizza here never disappoints. My personal favourite is the fungi! If you like it spicy, ask them to give you the green chilli oil that they have- makes it taste so much better! Our server was amazing, kept checking on us every few minutes even though the restaurant was very busy!

Recently we ordered Pepperoni and Vegetarian pizza with gluten free dough for take out. Both pizzas were flavorful and not heavy. Definitely recommend this place!

The calamari was so tender it melts in your mouth. The sauce that came with it was spectacular. The pizza was also excellent. Nice atmosphere and service. I will definitely come again and try other pizzas. 5 stars

Lovely modern pizza diner, with vegan options. Thoroughly enjoyed the margherita with their house-made vegan cheese. But, I do think they should salt their vegan cheese a lot more. Many people forget that vegan cheeses need to have salt added to give that salty flavour that dairy cheese has. If that were fixed, it would be a perfect pizza. The crust was absolutely delicious. I recommend getting the larger size and splitting it with a friend; it’s a nice experience. Also would recommend making reservations unless sitting at the bar.

It was a nice pizza place, the pizza is good, maybe a little bit underwhelming for the pricing, especially in terms of quantity of toppings, but it was still a good and solid personal pizza. The staff was super friendly and helpful. When we were there, some desserts were not available because the owner was not satisfied with the current quality, which was disappointing since we wanted to try the tiramisu. We got the gelato instead and it was delicious.

Came here on Saturday. I always have a really good experience here. The servers are friendly and the food is delicious. It’s usually pretty busy so I always find it better to make a reservation or call ahead. We got the fried gnocchi and a couple of pizzas. The gnocchi was light and flavourful and the pizza here never disappoints.

The original Pizza Libretto location is a great option for a (slightly-fancy) pizza night. The location itself is large and spacious. The service is…fine, but not particularly good. (This is an area where improvement could be easily made.) The pizza is, of course, delicious. And the rest of the food options are very good too. The Diavolo pizza seems to be the most popular, though I tend to get the Duck Confit. The gnocchi is very good too! 4/5 Stars For more restaurants, check out my IG @yamisofoodie. The patio has a narrow cover which was surprisingly effective at keeping us dry from the rain! The service was initially slow on the night we visited. We were seated a while and had trouble waving down someone to put in our orders and request some glasses of water. That being said, our server was friendly and attentive throughout the rest of the night! Libretto turns out great neapolitan pizzas. They’ve got a nice chewy dough and is able to maintain as a solid base even with the sauce. You can’t go wrong with their margherita. However, the kale caesar was overly chopped and resembled more of a slaw. The small size tiramisu is definitely large enough to share between 2 or 3. Budino is similar in flavour to the tiramisu but more of a mousse consistency.

Great Authentic Italian Pizza. Im not an expert in true Italian Pizza, so I can't Guage the greasyness of the pizza fairly. It was borderline too much, but maybe thats how its supposed to be. It tasted delicious and the generous amounts of dipping sauce added to the deliciousness. The meatballs were fantastic. The only dissapointing item I ordered was the Nutella stuffed cookies. They were just like Subway cookies. Not warm, wet and goey like cookies should be served. 9 out of 10. If you want real Italian pizza, go here. If you want regular American pizza, go elsewhere.

Had the pleasure of dining here for lunch with my team and we were not disappointed. The Neopolitan pizza at its core and it was on point. We all had a pizza each and everyone enjoyed their dishes. We ordered the truffle pizza (special of the day), a prosciutto and arugula pizza, pepperoni, a vegetarian pizza, and paired with some sodas. Service was very good even if the patio was relatively packed. The dough was exactly how you’d imagine it - elastic and soft and that Neopolitan style charred crust. 👌🏼 I honestly wish we could’ve ordered some appetizers to better gauge my full dining experience. If only we had more space in our tummies.

Liberetto is one of my favorite Neapolitan style pizzas and the university Avenue location didn't disappoint. Love the thin and light crust alongside their deliciously flavourful marinara, would definitely go again ❤️

Very quick service. Multiple vegetarian options available. In fact we ordered the vegetarian pizza which was quite delightful. Parking is difficult to find on the street. You have to either park your car in a paid parking lot or paid parking garage.

The pizza taste was great, somehow the real crust taste. I had a desert as well, which was not very satisfying as it was too sweet. The atmosphere and the service was great. It really worth trying.

We came on a Saturday evening and it was pretty busy. However, we didn’t have to wait for a table, we got the last one available! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, it was really nice. Service was great and most importantly the pizza is one of the best I’ve ever had!! The dough, toppings, pizza sauce and dips! It was absolutely delicious!! I will definitely come back when I’m in the area again to try the other pizzas on the menu.

Really enjoy the food and environment here - before pandemic, I used to come here often for lunch with colleagues as my office is close by. This time around I come with family for dinner, food is great as I remember - pizzas are delicious - thin and tasty, cooked just right, particularly love the fungi pizza, must try! Also recommend calamari as appetizer. Staff are all nice and friendly, especially our server MJ who’s very attentive and sweet! Will definitely come back again.

Went there for a simple pizza and I was very happy with my choice! Dough is soft and well done… it raised very well and it made the pizza very light! Quality of the ingredients is also good… sometimes missed some stronger flavor, but overall, this pizza made me feel like at home in Italy! I loved it and I could eat more

We were seated after the Jays game and a table was made available for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the meatballs and tomato sauce were cooked to perfection and the pizzas had a wonderful crunchy crust. Everything was excellent.

  • 5/5 Yuliya G. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty good pizza, food is prepared very quickly. Not a fan of desserts, the flavor is a bit too alcohol forward for both tiramisu and a caramel sauce for the chocolate cake. Did not like aranchini balls, but calamari is nice as well. Tiramisu is huge compared to other places, and they have a larger cut to share among several people

Amazing pizza!!! Love this place. Visited today with my family and had a lovely meal. I had the Nduja pizza. It was absolutely perfect. The crust, sauce and toppings were amazing. My wife is gluten free and had their GF crust and it was also really impressive. Will definitely visit again. BTW: their beers were very nice too!

  • 5/5 Mako N. 2 years ago on Google
Their gluten-free pizza was crunchy, fluffy, chewy, thicker than most of those in other restaurants. It costs a little bit more to replace the dough, but worth paying for sure. The patio was amazing!

  • 5/5 May Z. 1 year ago on Google
Pizza is delicious here from the crust to the sauce to the toppings. I love a simple pizza to truly appreciate the taste of the pizza and the Margherita pizza was presented very nicely. Individual pizza sizes are 12 inches and may be a lot for one pereon if you’re not too hungry but leftover pizza is always a good snack afterwards. They also have a lunch special for $19 that includes a 10 inch Margherita pizza with a tomato caprese or arugula salad. The calamari appetizer was also good and came with a house-made delicious green sauce.

Had a really nice casual meet up with professional colleagues after a meeting the other day. Great service and the food was on point. The salads in particular were just amazing, and the thin crust pies totally hit the spot. 10/10 would

Fresh, tasty, fast service, favourite pizza place. only downside is they seem to have changed the menu and ingredients/ how the dishes are made compared to pre pandemic. Not sure if it’s just this location or all of them

  • 3/5 Pooya S. 1 year ago on Google
The food was amazing, one of the best pizzas in Toronto. The pasta was also good, it was handmade which was great but a bit too soft for my taste. The service however was one of the worst I've seen. The staff looked as if they were forced to be there, no greeting, no smiles, didn't want to spend time listening to our order. This was so annoying when the wrong food was brought and we had to ask the waiter to change it. The food is 5-star but the service 0!

  • 4/5 Halli B. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing go to place for a thin crust pizza. Cooked to perfection - not soggy but not too crisp. Service a little slow. Well priced!

  • 4/5 April C. 1 year ago on Google
We ordered the arancini, calamari, and a couple of pizzas, and everything tasted good and was made well. The apps were a tad on the colder side, but the flavour was still good. The service was friendly and fairly efficient, and it was kid friendly (they have a small kids' menu). We went with our two young children, and everyone enjoyed themselves. The space is deceptively big; when you first walk in, it seems like seating might be limited, but there are more tables as you walk in further.

  • 5/5 Anastasiya P. 2 years ago on Google
Very chill atmosphere with the ability to accommodate small or big groups. Awesome to see such friendly service and the ability sit outside even in the fall. I had the 16 inch pizza, as well as the focaccia and the calamari to start. Delicious and fresh! Highly recommend if you are craving some yummy pizza

I accepted my friends' invitation to this restaurant with apprehension. I've been let down by pizzerias claiming to serve Napoletan pizzas, but failed to deliver. I'm now glad I came. Firstly, you've got to get the salads. The arugula salad was great, properly seasoned with the right amount of balsamic without being overpowered. The beet Caprese was amazing, with red beets replacing the traditional tomatoes, and the mozzarella cheese providing the counterbalance. We ordered three different pizzas and decided to share. The vegetarian pizza was okay, nothing special. The duck confit pizza came highly recommended, but while it tasted fine, it was a little bit funky for me and my traditionalist sense. If you're looking for an interesting combination, do order the duck confit. But the true test was the classic Margherita pizza, and it did not disappoint. The taste was delicate, the mozzarella chunks were quite generous, and the crust was thin and crispy. I dare say it's probably the best Napoletan pizza joint in Downtown Toronto. Worth a revisit!
