🌸 Clean sand and crystal clean water. 🌸 No BBQ allowed in here and no tents allowed! 🌸 $10 fee for going in the bay beach and $4 per hour for the parking.

The beach is very clean and well maintained. There's washrooms and change rooms near the entrance of the beach. You need to pay for entry near one of the two main entrance - on weekends, this is $10 per person, and in return you get a wrist band that allows you entry for the entire day. The beach itself has clear sand, and fairly shallow waters. There's quite the bit of restrictions though, such as no picnic tables nor tents, no alcohol, no smoking. There's parking near Erie Rd, but this is typically paid - you can expect anywhere between $15-20 per car. You can alternatively find free parking on one of the side roads, but this will require at least a 5min walk.

We had a fabulous time at Bay Beach this past week (late August). It is $5 per adult and children over the age of 10 (I believe) to enter. I don't mind paying since it limits the number of guests on an already busy strip of beach and it ensure it is tidy and neat. The water was very clean and warm and they have markers for boats to stay clear of. Doesn't stop them from getting close and smelling up the place of course. They have lovely blue mats to walk on and it really helps with those like us with strollers. Just a quick hoist of your stroller off the mat and onto your spot of the beach and you're set. It was still pretty crowded for a weekday and not everyone was wearing masks in the washroom/change room so that was disappointing. The other plus is there is a nice playground for children just outside of Bay Beach and there is a lot of affordable parking on the street or in the public lots ($2 per hour). Private lots offer parking at $10 per day.

I took my toddler to the Bay Beach (on Erie Rd) playground today and we had so much fun! The playground had a good variety of play areas, things to do and was clean. Also, there was a Pavillion near by with beautiful washrooms that were very well kept. The view wasn't to shabby either (see pics ;) We will definitely be visiting this park again and again! Highly recommend!

Very clean and beautiful beach. It has an entry fee that's $10 on holidays, which is the only negative. The sand is very clean and with very fine grains. The washroom facilities are very clean with three family washrooms. Parking is hard to find and most street parking is paid as well unless you park very far away

My wife and I love going to the Caribbean islands, and even though it's not salt water, the sand on this beach might as close as we can get in Ontario. We went on a weekday, and it was still pretty busy. There is a 5$ day pass to access the beach, but well worth it.

Great Spot. Children under 12 are free. Monday to Thursday it is $5 per person. Friday to Sunday and holidays are $10 per person. No alcohol or glass containers. No tents. Can pay at permit terminal with debit Visa and mc. With tap. My tap was declined which was frustrating. Not my account but the tap function for some reason. You can also pay cash. Attendants are there to check along with security. Very clean spot with white sand. Bathrooms outside are clean and spacious.

    1. Amazing beach to spend your day. The water is crystal clear and one can swim, play and spend time in warm water (summer specific :) 2. Parking fee $15, Entry fee $5 per person. 3. Not enough parking space around. That was a disappointment. You need to reach around 9am to get a good spot. 4. Not many food stores or eating places around. Make sure you get your food, snacks along.

Nice beach, go on the left when you arrive, less rocks. Parking is 4$/hour and entrance is 5$/person during the week, 10$ on holidays and weekend. Bathrooms are very clean. Security checks bags at the entrance.

A word of advice, if you are planning to visit this beach over the weekend please do yourself a favor and try to reach as early as 1 or 2 pm. There are high chances that entry to the beach will be temporarily closed and they will not let you in. I had to go through these and I strongly suggest that you do not try your luck at the nearby beaches because you will anyway end up getting disappointed! Mostly other beaches must have stopped selling tickets or you might need to purchase a $50 day pass. I ended up going to other 4 beaches up to Nickle beach but I had not that great chance to just enter any of them. I ended up coming back to Crystal beach at 5:15 pm on Saturday and it was re-opened for the general entry and it was free anyway because it was past 5.

This is my favourite beach, the sand is nice, the water is cleaner than other beaches, and when your done your beach day, you can rinse off your feet at there foot wash station. They also have a playground and washrooms. Although a lot people don’t like this beach because of the fees, I’d say it’s worth it. you have to pay around $10 for parking, and a $5 day pass on weekdays. But if you live local definitely get the season pass, only $10. And if you live close enough you can just walk or bike so you don’t need to pay for parking. All in all, 10/10 🙌

This is the public use beach at Crystal Beach. It has nice powdery sand and it is quite shallow so perfect for families and their kids. Note, during the summer there is a $5 per person charge to use the beach.

What a beautiful 🤩 beach. The is so crystal clear that one can see through it . The beach is well maintained. Water is warm the view is beautiful. Best thing about beach was that there was hardly any rocks and sand gave the feeling of middle east. Paying 5$ per adult the entry fees was worth . They have good restaurants nearby and ample parking spaces. Only thing missing was a shower in changing area.

Excellent to spend time on a real beach. Be aware that dog lovers have their dogs off leach on this beach and the public side is very limited. It is mostly privately owned by people for the Unites States of America. You can see a beautiful sunrise in the spot. There is limited paid parking and some free spots. No alcohol is permitted on the beach.

This is an excellent well maintained beach. 2 mins walk from the parking area (15$ parking nearby) and its not as crowded as some of the other beaches close to GTA. Its clean with washrooms and changing rooms also present within the vicinity. However 4 stars as there are a couple of things they dont mention and I had a problem with. 1st that no tents, bbq or stoves are allowed. I understand the bbq/stove part but no tent is a bit too much. Secondly there is a 10$/person charge. This is the first beach in my time that charges people to go in. Overall its a good beach to go with family but make sure you pack an umbrella as no tents or canopys are allowed.

Great beach, very clean when there's no much people there (like during the week). However, during our Sunday visit we could already see plastic cutlery in the sand, cans of beer in the water... too bad nothing can be done with the pigs that also come here.

You have to pay to walk on a beach? We’re from the UK and the idea of having to pay to access a beach is just odd! The town is nice to walk around with plenty of bars and cafes. Make the beach free and the place would be perfect

Very nice beach. Clean beach. Clean water. You can see crystal clear water and see sand and sand wave design in it. Site has written CRYSTAL BEACH at entrance with changing light at evening in case you want to take picture at evening/night for your memory (like Nathan Phillip Square in Toronto) Admission ticket/fees is $10. Municipal parking Per hour is $4 and full day is $15. I think after 6 pm is free. Also changing rooms will be close at 7:30 pm ( that was i noticed).

Amazing Beach. Clear waters, fine sand. $10-$15 parking steps away from the beach. $10 for adult admission. Lots of security on premises. All bags are searched at the entrance for safety. Mostly families. Can get crowded after noon.

Always love this beach! Water was warm, shallow and clear. First time visiting on a Saturday. Definitely come early if you are planning a weekend trip. The beach was at capacity by noon and they were turning people away.

Very clean and safe place, I was in a couple beaches before and this is the winner, you must to pay until 6:00pm and the parking too, but if you come after 6:00pm then you can save your money

The beach could be nice. The water was great. Nice and shallow and calm for the kids. Parking was limited. The sand had garbage and cigarette butts. They charge to enter the beach. Maybe get a groomer for the sand or devote resources to cleaning the sand. The wasps were terrible. I looked around and saw people all over the beach swatting at wasps. They got into everything and were relentless. They never stung but we're just always buzzing around, landing and things and people. Garbage cans need lids because they are just a wasp magnet. If you're going to charge for a wasp infested beach at least have clean sand.

Crystal Beach has a lot going for it as a beach destination. It's a great beach with lovely warm water, creating an ideal setting for a day of relaxation. One aspect that's both a pro and a con is the fact that you have to pay to access it. While this fee helps keep the beach a bit less crowded, it can be a downside for some. However, I have to mention some of the unusual rules in place, like the prohibition of umbrellas, and no beach balls. These rules can feel a bit restrictive and take away from the overall beach experience. One thing to note is that during my last visit, there seemed to be an abundance of bees, which could be a concern for those with allergies or a general aversion to them. I used to love coming to Crystal Beach back in the day, but these days I find myself visiting less frequently due to the reasons mentioned above. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a beautiful beach with warm water and don't mind the rules and fees, it's still worth considering for a day of relaxation.

Still love it here. Clean beach & remodeled. They charge a small fee & check your bags before you can enter. Have a beautiful playground & restrooms!

  • 3/5 Marius S. 2 years ago on Google
The beach itself is quite nice; the sand is soft and the water is fairly shallow. My main complaint is that the beach was quite crowded and isn't very large as it's surrounded by a bunch of private property. The entry fee was also $5 per person (in addition to a $10 parking fee) and they check each of your bags.

Great reserved sandy beach for local residents and cottage renters this year. Umbrellas only (no pop-up tents) and security checks your bags for alcohol. Washrooms available.

  • 1/5 Tiny T. 3 years ago on Google
I understand the local government tries to protect community. But ruling out policies like 'beach is for local residents only' gives a throw back to really unpleasant historical events of the last centuries. Same way Mississauga could say 'YYZ airport is for residents only', or Toronto could say 'our hospitals are for residents only'. Sounds stupid? Let's stop propagating this hate

  • 1/5 Vitalii 3 years ago on Google
We came from Toronto to this beach and did not let a family with a child in, but it turned out that this is not a public beach, but for local residents, and the beach is guarded (you need to show your ID that you live there) Wanted to pay for the entrance, they send somewhere for permission .... in short, it's just a shame .. I do not advise you to rest there ..

AKA Crystal beach. Parking across the street, paid @ $4.00 per hour or $15 for the day. At this moment, August 6, 2020, non-residents are not allowed. There is a gate and entry will not be permitted unless you have a residence card. Very nice beach.

Bay Beach is one of those beaches where you feel at home - - right away. The water is clear and generally warm. The atmosphere is friendly. Families mix with younger people. It's clean, washrooms are nearby. And there are some sweet nearby places to get drinks and food. Love it.

The beach was beautiful. Very friendly staff and accessible. However, there is this rule where you aren't allowed to anchor down your umbrellas or have tents on the beach even for young children as a respite from the sun. Luckily the days we were there were overcast and not overly windy so this wasn't a huge issue. However, I think a large umbrella getting loose and hitting someone could cause more harm than if someone trips over an anchor point. Just my two cents.

  • 4/5 Ray N. 3 years ago on Google
A good beach with plenty of sand. The depth of beach is good, to prevent overcrowding. Access to the beach is controlled with passes or payment. The water is a comfortable temperature (July) and clear. Parts of the shoreline may have pebbles that may make it hard on some feet. The street that runs behind the beach has several bars, restaurants and businesses. The beach is wheel chair accessible.
