One of the top things we had on our list when beginning to plan our wedding was a unique wedding venue – something we had never seen before and that would be ours for the day/night. The Hare checked all of those boxes and more. Beautiful, unique, lots of space options, great staff, and delicious wine! We received so many compliments about our venue during and after our wedding of how breathtaking and unique it was. The Hare has a multitude of space options that can work for pretty much any type of wedding format. We hosted our ceremony in the side field with the vineyard as our backdrop. At first I was a little worried that it might be noisy from the cars on the road – but on the day of, I didn’t hear (or I didn’t notice) a single car. Our dinner and cocktail hour were hosted in the beautiful courtyard. We did minimal decorations because the courtyard really just speaks for itself. The space was perfect for our intimate dinner (~26 people), but then transformed wonderfully into our cocktail reception for ~100 people. Finally, we moved inside to the epic Barrel Room for our party. All spaces beautiful in their own way and really needed minimal (or no) décor to make an impact. We worked with a Coordinator from The Hare’s events team – Mallory. She was very helpful through the planning and organizing process. I had many many questions and Mallory always answered them quickly and happily and made our vision for our day come to life. One notable thing is that the winery doesn’t close until 5 PM on Saturdays – so if you are planning an earlier wedding, keep this in mind. Our ceremony began at 3:30 PM, so there were customers of the winery present. The courtyard was “closed”, although customers had to walk through it to get to the retail store (for tastings etc.). For the most part this wasn’t an issue, most people took a photo or looked from afar and went on their way. There were a small few who were touching our décor – but luckily I was there to ask them to stop. During our ceremony, there were also guests on their side patio (directly looking at our ceremony site). I was a little worried about this before the wedding – but we actually didn’t notice them whatsoever before, during, or after the ceremony! This wasn’t a make or break for us – but is something to note depending on how your day is structured and how you feel about others being on site for part of the day. Very nice winery located near Niagara. It is worth visiting and getting wine samples and the charcuterie table. I recommend going by car, but there are several tours that can bring you there as well. I already went by car and by tour and both were pleasant experiences. The wine is flavourful and we got some bottles to drink at home.

Great place to visit - it’s gorgeous both inside (like a castle) and outside - they have a patio for summer time. Vlad did a good job explaining different tastes. Thank you!

It's an amazing winery and a venue for weddings! Friendly staff, very convenient location, easily accessible for vendors. Been here a couple of times as a guest and working there as well. Definitely recommend the place for both a visit or a place to get your wedding day ☺️ 10/10 rabbits 🐰

My husband and I booked a wine tour for a Sunday morning at the very end of May, and we were pleasantly greeted by Vlad who sat us at a fantastic table. The building itself is impressive and is truly beautiful with the wine on display and rustic charm. Being there almost makes you feel like you're on vacation, yet with lovely Ontario vineyards! Vlad was professional, friendly and knowledgeable while he took us on a journey about wine, giving us helpful tips and tidbits of interesting information. We really enjoyed this winery, left with a bottle of excellent wine and would definitely make this a stop again when doing wine tours in the area!

We had our wedding and reception here in October. Our plans were to have the ceremony in their courtyard however mother nature told us we needed to bring the festivities indoors. Before we knew it the staff had us setup in our backup location. The venue and grounds are beautiful. The staff and the owner are kind and accommodating. Our guests were having such a great time they didn't want to leave, even after the DJ packed up his equipment.

Gorgeous building, and wonderful wines, but our favourite part was the vegan charcuterie board! We cannot say enough how delicious the vegan “cheeses” and “meats” were and it was so refreshing to be able to participate in the pairing experience! We were even lucky enough to meet the owner and get a lovely origin story for the wine!

Amazing wine, great service! Food was spectacular! The winery is stunning! Thank you to John and his serving staff for a great start to a day of touring and tasting. This wasn't the first and won't be the last time! See you soon!

This place is a dream! We ended up at the winery not intentionally and we had the best experience. Beautiful and comfortable, they have charcuterie board and a variety of great red, white, rose and ice wine. We had the pleasure of meeting John, the owner. He brought us the most juicy peach 🍑 for us to try and was so polite and sweet to everyone around. We are absolutely recommending The Hare Wine Co. and for sure coming back!

The Hare is the best winery I have had the pleasure of visiting during my time here in Niagara on the Lake. The atmosphere is pleasant, the employees are spectacular and the wine is absolutely amazing. A special thank you goes to Thomas and Marc for their genuine hospitality and kindness during mine and my families visit. They went above and beyond to accommodate the group and made sure our experience was top notch. This winery is a definite visit if you find yourself in the area.

Had an amazing tasting at the Hare this weekend. We were served by Adrien who taught us a lot about the whites, sparkling, reds and ice wine we tried. All were delicious. The owner, John came over for a chat and informed us of the history of the land and the barrels used to make the feature wall which was stunning. Can not say enough great things about this place. They went out of their way to make us feel special and welcome. They even converted me to like chardonnay (which I usually don't like) An incredible experience overall and will be recommending the Hare to all my friends and family!!

We went to The Hare as part of a wine tour back in November. The space was STUNNING. Truly transports you to a cross between Europe (indoors) and what feels like 1800s Boston (outdoors). The venue is gorgeous, and the wine is quite tasty but slightly overpriced in our opinion. The service was awesome, the owner came by and said hello to everyone in the winery and was giving away free cookies to everyone. A truly warm environment overall, and I would definitely recommend going for a tasting and a visit around the grounds, and even pick up a bottle or two if it’s in your price range!

2 visits here, first for an adhoc tasting 2 weekends ago where we learned that, unlike many other wineries, this winery is dog friendly. We returned a weekend later with our pup for a glass each on the back patio and the charcuterie board. The owner, John Hare, greeted our pup with a dog biscuit and some belly rubs. Fantastic winery, great people, delicious wines and a great place to stop in on your way to or from downtown NOTL.

The Hare Wine Co is my new favourite Niagara winery. The wine is delicious, the atmosphere and decor are so welcoming and comforting. Alisha was our server and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoy the smaller wineries and will be back for sure!!!

Just wanted to share my experience at The Hare Winery on Monday and their Jazz night. First time at one of the Jazz events and the entertainment was amazing. The night couldn't have been better, shared with great company, excellent food (I recommend the Duck Pizza) and of course the Rose wine. Kodo's to the staff, the service was first class. I have been to wine tasting at The Hare in the past and I have always left with a wonderful experience. Lyndsay our server for the wine tastings was incredible and his wine knowledge was off the charts.

I always enjoy my time and tastings the Hare winery. Vlad is incredible. Very knowledgeable and fun. He challenged us to step out of our comfort zone and some of the wines we never expected to love were our favourite. Their wine elevates your dinner parties and make fabulous gifts. This place is so cute. It’s super clean and the staff is very attentive, friendly and accommodating. There are not a lot of vegan options in wine country. This winery offers amazing non-vegan food along with a vegan charcuterie board that is very well presented and thought out. Oh and the wine is amazing! I can’t express the gratitude I have for a place like this having a more inclusive menu. I always end up not eating or just having fries, nvm a well thought out and considerate charcuterie board. Look how cute it is are you kidding? Thanks so much guys for thinking outside the box!!! We’ll be back for sure.

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic Valentine's Dinner experience at The Hare! Vladimir's presentation of the meal and the wines was spot on. His passion and love for The Hare truly shone through, making our evening all the more special. The food was exquisite, and each dish was a delightful journey for our taste buds. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavor was commendable. The ambience added a romantic touch to the evening, creating a perfect setting for a memorable Valentine's celebration. Vladimir's expertise in recommending wines complemented the meal beautifully. We could sense his deep knowledge and enthusiasm, making the wine pairing an integral part of our overall enjoyment. Leaving The Hare, we found ourselves eagerly anticipating our next visit. The combination of excellent food, a charming ambience, and the staffs impeccable service has made us loyal fans. Highly recommended for anyone looking to create special memories with their loved ones. We can't wait to return for another delightful experience!

Have been to Hare Wine Co twice now and I love this winery. They are more casual and the staff is super friendly and they take the time to talk to you and answer any questions...you don't feel rushed at all. Their patio area is beautiful with lots of flowers and is nicely spaced apart

My partner and I came for a wine tasting. We had a great time. The atmosphere is really warm and the wine was fantastic. We had a wonderful somalier that gave us great explanations on each of our wines. Honestly, great experience. 100% would come here again

I had a photoshoot on Valentine's Day there and the owner John was super friendly the staff was great and the wines were just spectacular. I love going here always super cozy and warm :)
