This restaurant is clearly struggling. Staff were shouting at each other and, while I was eating inside, they actually locked the front door hours before closing. The cook came out at one point and grabbed a drink from the soda machine. When I went to grab my drink next, I saw that he'd left flour all over EVERYTHING--the machine, the lids, the straws, the counter. It took about fifteen minutes to order and another twenty to get my food. But I'll say this--the food was mostly delicious. Some of the okra had gone cold, and some of it was burned. But the fried shrimp were absolutely wonderful, the potato wedges were good and well-seasoned, and the biscuit was absolutely heaven. All this for $8. We all make questionable decisions. 😆

Got takeout chicken dinner last Sunday and I have to say it was the best Lee's chicken I've ever had. It was all done nice and fresh. Had not dried out from sitting. The cole slaw mashed potatoes and gravy were very good, hot and fresh. I've been going to Lee's well over 30 odd years in different states, and we frequent this particular Lee's quite often and sometimes it's just so-so. I don't know if there's a new manager or new staff, but whatever happened please keep it up!! It was all good!

Their chicken is as good, if not better, than Popeye's, and their sides are head and shoulders above the competition. But that staff? Just an apathetic lot when it comes to customer interaction. On the plus side, they have never gotten an order incorrect, it's always been perfect. But, wow is it hard to engage them; they all seem to desperately want to be absolutely anywhere else. I feel like they really need better wages.

Very clean dinning room. Food done in a spicy Louisiana Style. Always a car or two in line for the drive up and at least a couple people dining in. I can see why, food is good, service was top notch, and restaurant was cleaner than most, bar none. I will be eating here again.

Went there for lunch today. Every day but Sunday my meal would have been 6.49, today it is 8.49. $18 for lunch for 2 to go. And the food was far worse than usual today. The chicken was overcooked and looked like it had been sitting there for about 8 hours. Disgusting. There's no recourse. They don't care if the food was bad, they're not interested in making things right. The service was terrible as usual. Theres a different cashier every time you go in because the turnover at this place is just unbelievable. No one knows what they're doing. Very bad visit. Don't plan on returning anytime in the near future.

Love this place wouldn't go anywhere else. The chicken is fire and the service is exceptional. Great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff at all times. They make sure your order is correct and prompt service..

Who is keeping this establishment open?!!! The high blood presure you may be experiencing is probably coming from them (IN MY OPINION) bc the chicken, gizzards, livers, everything is SALTY! I Cannot enjoy it and the macaroni tastes just like playdough! Not worth the price!

Stopped in for a bird and got two gallon of Tea instead. No food just Tea? And it wasn't on two for Tuesday ta,Tahs.

Love this spot, for a fast food chicken spot it’s a step above the usual chicken shack. Prices aren’t too bad, service seems to be better at some location than others. 10/10 would eat here again, if you are looking for a solid quick fried chicken dinner Lee’s is worth the try.

Always clean, very pleasant service, food is hot, the potpie and chicken are browned very nicely. The music playlist is very nice and the perfect volume!!

If you decide to spend your money here, plz make sure you check your food. I went through drive- through. I bought a family meal. My food wasn't fresh, and a couple of my biscuits had mold. I couldn't get through on the phone. Every time I tried to call, it made a weird noise. I couldn't take the food back because my ride had to go to work. It will be a while before I go back. I will take my business elsewhere!

Came to the drive through at 10:00 pm it was my first time here. I was looking at the menu and the person at the speaker was totally rushing me to order and was actually rather rude and had horrible customer service….. I ended up leaving and getting food down the road.

I normally have friendly staff and receive my proper order. I ordered all dark and received 2 breasts! Could not understand lady on speaker! Had to repeat several times!

The rudest drive through staff. I’ve left without ordering twice because the people at drive through don’t know how to speak to customers. As much as I wanted to catch an attitude back, I realized it’s not worth it. If you hate your job, leave! Don’t take your attitude out on people who helping get you a paycheck! Do not patronize this location.

This is my first experience at Lee’s chicken. I am normally a KFC guy, but I thought I’d give this a whirl. If the chicken would’ve been fresh, it probably would’ve tasted a lot better instead of sitting underneath the heat lamp. Also, they charge $.30 per sauce and none comes with the meal. What is that about? And they don’t tell you this until you get to the window.

Very quick service inside of restaurant. This is fast food chicken. The 4 stars for atmosphere should not be deemed a negative; we're not reviewing a white table cloth destination. The side dishes were well prepared.

I can walk to the location at 5023 Natural Bridge but I'd rather visit this S. Jefferson location. The service I receive day or evening is truly customer service at its finest. My food is ALWAYS hot even traveling across town to my residence.. my overall experience at this location is above and beyond Thank you for a job well done

Lee's at Gravois and Jefferson is a reliable choice for a decent lunch and it's been that way for years — that can't be an accident. The staff is always working and they treat people well. If they're understaffed the tea might be undrinkable or the chicken dry, but usually they're quite good. feels like it's run by good people. And yes, their Famous Recipe chicken is good.

My food was fresh and hot and the service was awesome! The line was long but it moved quickly as this is located in a busy street. Each time I go the experience is still the same so I give it five stars!

The chicken is always delicious and their customer service is always 100%. their manager personally spoke to me when they had something i ordered something and he realized it went bad. They offered me something else and he was so so courteous. And they have great attitudes. Keep it up!

Not just another chicken place. By far the best service you are going to find from any fast food restaurant in St. Louis. If you are in a hurry and want good service, then it is worth stopping here - even if it is a little out of your way.

From my experience - Pros: Service is usually quick. Orders are accurate. Food tastes good and is usually warm/hot. Cons: The cashiers never smile, say thank you, or show any customer appreciation. They act like they'd rather be anyplace but there. Panhandling at this location is not uncommon either.

Last time I'll ever order here they always have a attitude when ordering.i ordered strips and they gave me thighs and wings I was eating green beans and started chocking on a piece of plastic I'm lucky it wasn't my kids so upset with this lee's location!!!
