So
much
seaweed
washed
up
that
you
couldn’t
even
get
within
5
meters
of
the
water,
let
alone
swim.
Someone
had
tried
to
clear
a
path
to
the
sea
but
gave
up
after
about
1
meter.
Shame
as
one
of
the
supposedly
rare
swim-able
beaches
on
the
east
coast.
Bizarrely
there
was
a
life
guard
on
duty!
Obviously
no
one
in
the
water.
Did
I
mention
the
awful
smell
of
seaweed?
Couldn’t
even
eat
our
picnic
there
it
was
so
off
putting!
Went
there
middle
of
the
day
Feb
2022.
Maybe
at
different
times
of
year
the
seaweed
is
less
abundant?
Not
sure
how
you
could
check
before
heading
off
though?
