I started training Jiu Jitsu about a year ago, and since then my schedule basically revolves around the classes at Tensho. If you ask anyone, Raimar is one of the best teachers around, this is only made more apparent when you visit other gyms, and see how clearly he communicates important details of techniques, all of which are very useful and applicable when sparring. I've also done some boxing with Sasha Louis, and he's an incredible thai/kickboxing trainer, with the sessions i've done with him, he's really been able to improve my boxing fundamentals, such a keen eye for detail and able to give invaluable advice when I make mistakes. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Tensho, especially when I hear of people's experiences at other gyms. The atmosphere and friend's i've made at Tensho are second to none. If you're thinking about trying out Jiu Jitsu or Thai Boxing, then I personally don't think you'll find somewhere better!

I had such a great experience training at Tensho. Traveling from Australia to Germany for the summer and I was looking for a place to train Thai boxing. The team at Tensho were extremely welcoming, delivered their classes in English (very helpful for me), and most importantly had a hard work no ego environment. Tensho is a great gym for people with any level of experience, beginner or expert. It is a very open and welcoming environment. Raimar is a great instructor with a vast knowledge of jiu jitsu. I would highly recommend this place.

At Tensho you will experience a highly open and friendly atmosphere, and at the same time jiu-jitsu there is taken very seriously and the level of sparring is high. Raimar is very attentive to details that are a game-changer.

During my visit to Hamburg, I had the opportunity to train at Tencho Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Being an experienced black belt, I'm cautious about choosing training partners. However, this gym stood out with its high-level practitioners and welcoming atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and wholeheartedly recommend visiting Tencho BJJ if you're in Hamburg. As an irregular business visitor to Hamburg, I wanted to find a place to train and reached out to the Academy. They were happy and open to welcome visitors and I found the Academy a great place to train, both in terms of the welcoming nature of the team and the quality of instruction/training that they provided. Suffice to say I've found my place to roll in Hamburg and look forward to my next visit - highly recommended!
