We love this place as a family and as dog owners. The dog can run freely while we have a nice time at picnics and other activities. This place is known as a dog beach and we have only had good experiences so far. The people are relaxed and warm 💕, just like us. In the photo the water has just gone, but it came back 😀 so Cello could swim. Clear recommendation 🙋🏽‍♀️🐾

Very beautiful, extensive stretch of beach on the Elbe. The sand is clean and fine. There are enough sunbathing areas there to enjoy the sun when the weather is nice. The ships, yachts and freighters passing by perfectly round off the Hamburg feeling. Ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of Hamburg. There are hardly any toilets or kiosks here. Dogs are allowed to run free here.

The beach on Falkensteiner Ufer is very fine sand. At the edge of the stand there is a dog beach where dogs are allowed to go into the water (be careful, there are waves when ships pass by!). The stand can be reached by a 10-minute walk from the “Falkenstein” bus stop.

Actually a beautiful and wide sandy beach that is not overcrowded even on warm days and has shaded areas under trees/bushes here and there. Overall well maintained. However, it appears to be a dog beach, which means there are hundreds of dogs a day running around wildly, poking their noses everywhere, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. This beach is therefore completely unsuitable with children.

Nice place to chat with friends and enjoy the sand. Water and mud is not recommended due to big ships passing by. No toilets or other facilities, which makes de place quite private

Beautiful place to have a morning jog or an evening stroll with your friends, kids and dogs. The beach also has a forested area nearby that makes a perfect setting for a good weekend hike.

Always worth a trip. We cycled along the banks of the Elbe to the Falkensteiner Ufer. We spent a great afternoon there. However, the water is not necessarily ideal for swimming as it is quite dirty and you cannot see the bottom. The sandy beach is clean and you can always find a quiet spot (even in the shade).

Very nice corner of Hamburg. When the weather is good and there are a lot of people out with their motorboats, the engine noise is a bit annoying. However, there are several beautiful stretches of beach with adjacent forest areas where you can also go for a wonderful walk or hike. Of course you have a perfect view of the Elbe and all the ships that are or were sailing on it, because the two well-known shipwrecks are also worth a mention.

Falkensteiner Ufer is a place that you simply have to experience. Found it with the Explo app and I was really excited. Cliffs in Hamburg – who would have thought that? Great place to unwind, throw stones into the water or just enjoy the view. Bring a picnic and have a chill day! 🌊🥪

This is vacation on your doorstep. You meet families with children who simply enjoy the sand, beach and water. You meet people with dogs who also enjoy these advantages. And you can admire pots up close. At the end, a walk through the beautiful park (we locals call it an orchard). Life on your doorstep couldn't be more beautiful!

Amazing experience everytime you go around here, enjoy the view on the beach and relax, go for a walk in the woods and get lost in the nature for hours and discover new ways. Pack a bunch of snacks and a sandwich, you won't find a place to get food except the camping place. Once you get past that point, you gotta have a bit endurance. In the woods you are gonna be at the same level with the trees (heightwise) and enjoy the vibes and freshness. The further you go the more you are alone with the nature. Take a lot of time and stay and enjoy as long as you can, hopefully the sun shines also :)

A really really nice place to relax on warm sunny day. You can bring your children have a nice picnic. And if you are alone sit somewhere and just enjoy the weather and ships. It is really peaceful here

When you reach to the nice sandy beach after walking through woods, you will see the falcons turning around the hill and hear them. Don't wonder how that is possible just 15km away from HH city center! The woods is full of mice and you will hear them and even see them (if you look careful enough and wait silently for a while, like I did) when you walk. Amazing example of ecosystem. You can also watch the big ships heading to North Sea.

A nice place to visit. If you have an electric car there is also a charging station.

It's very nice during the day for families. There is a guy with a ice cream trolley and they are delicious. But during the nigth, at least in summer, is full of drunk student making party and with very loud music. I wanted to spend the nigth there in my van and we have to dessist at 2.00 am.

Beautiful area to relax and do sports. Wonderful views. I highly recommend it for any kind of travellers who wants to disconnect from the crowded cities.
