Luis is a great person with excellent skills in creating the contact and getting a relationship to the next level. Since I've had the opportunity to know him I've highly appreciated his professionalism, his dedication to his job and I've witnessed his many successes in business. I would recommend Luis professionally and also as friend. I appreciate that he has also a good knowledge about wine and I'm always happy to share a glass of good wine with him. I went to Luis Cuesta's practice earlier this week for my first teeth cleaning in several years. I had always been apprehensive about going to the dentist in Switzerland due to high prices, but this was far beyond what I expected. When booking the appointment over the phone, I had made very clear to the practice that my intention was to clean my teeth. I was told that the cleaning would cost between CHF 100 and CHF 300 depending on the work to be done. Luis Cuesta is very kind and personal. However, after 40 minutes of being at the practice, we had done little more than talk, and to my surprise, after this time had passed, I was told that the appointment cost had already reached roughly CHF 150, without touching my teeth. Disappointed, and having taken time off work, I assumed the loss and asked Dr. Cuesta to at least clean my teeth for the remaining time, as otherwise I felt I had wasted my money. He did a quick cleaning of 10-15 minutes of my top teeth, and the appointment ended shortly after. For this short period, I was charged an additional 130 CHF (!!!). This is far beyond what I had expected, and also much more expensive than most practices I have seen in the area. For example, I have seen dental clinics offering cleaning for 60 minutes for approximately CHF 150. Overall, I am sure that Dr. Cuesta is qualified and good at his job. But unfortunately, despite his kindness, the pricing is out of orbit. I was often given long explanations regarding information about dental treatments, products, the additional services he offers (which I never asked for), and of course, for every second, I had to pay. Ultimately, I left with a bill of CHF 299. I believed I would receive an intensive cleaning, and to begin with, I am amazed that the secretary told me when booking the appointment that the price could possibly start at CHF 100, because just 15 minutes of cleaning exceeded this price. I wish Dr. Cuesta the best of luck, but the lack of transparency on pricing, the high cost and the lack of focus on the task at hand (the cleaning, which is what I booked the appointment for), mean that I will certainly not be visiting the practice again.

Very professional and detail oriented dentist. He takes the necessary time to analyse and understand the problem. Then takes action very efficiently and without hurry. Clear explanations of the situation and all possible options. I recommend him for very different odontologic issues. Great choice in Zurich for german, english, spanish, french and russian speakers.

Luis is a really very good dentist and also a great and interesting person to speak with in general. I had an extraction today, and it was completely painless and done extremely efficiently, which is not something I ever had with other dentists in recent memory! If you are a nervous patient, I would highly recommend his services. On top of a great service, he also charged me less than the original quote due to some aspects not being required and the price was very reasonable. As I live close to the surgery address I am very happy to have found such a dentist, this is not always easy to find in Switzerland. Highly recommended.

One of the most sophisticated dentist I have experienced in my life. He saved a tooth where all other dentist wanted to remove it. He uses a special ozone treatment to protect you from possible upcoming infections.
