Must visit place to understand history. Teaches us a lesson or two with respect to islamic conquests. Heartbreaking to see such great heritage in ruins. Hope government takes care of this place and preserves it in current state.

Its not fort. There r lots or remains of very old and very very beautiful temple. The work done is mesmerizing. Very beautiful. You can see how invaders have broken face of several statue and what a big time damage they did to our temples. Still the remains of that temple is worth watching.

We visited on Sankranti so it was fully crowded. This is an ASI site where the historic monuments were placed, but the maintenance is not good. This place seems to be dedicated for clicking photos. Ample parking available, toilets were unhygienic. One time visit nothing much.

Must visit if you are visiting or passing by Warangal. Am sure archaeologists and historians will find treasures. From common people like us the place is very quiet and allows us to appreciate the great work by our ancestors.

The offline ticket price is 25 rupees and online fee is 20 rupees. The place is must visit, Kakatiya Kala Thoranam is a historical arch in the Warangal district, of the Indian state of Telangana. The Warangal Fort has four ornamental gates which originally formed the gates to the destroyed great Shiva temple which are known as Kakatiya Kala Thoranam or Warangal Gates.

It is by far a good place to visit in Warangal 😇. Don't go during rains, but it is definitely at it's best right after the rain. Do wear hats and masks everywhere you roam here 🌞. You have to pay for your camera + tickets. And definitely an interesting place for archeologist to visit 😃. But the maintains could be better, like putting a board stand near every section of visitation containing the historical references of that particular location.🤔 It could have been better, but it still can get better. Never too late. ✌️

Ruins of ancient fort of Warangal. This has got 4 stone-carved arches in each direction, with some ruins in the middle . The sculptures speak up of the marvelous skills of the sculptors.. guides are available for better understanding of the sculptures. Tickets - 20/adult, children upto 15 yrs of age have free entry. May take around 30 minutes for completing the tour.

Nice place to visit. There's a shiv ling, could be a point of research and discussion. A park for children and a rock top from where people could get best view of near by lake. It seems like the near by people have built their houses within the fort.

This fort is ruined completely, with few pillars, idols, arches and others available now for us to see. The sculptures are a sight to behold. The place looks beautiful even in ruins. Monsoon would be the best season to visit this place.

They have online ticket booking through an archeological survey of India (Only Rs. 20). When you take tickets in person it's Rs.25. Not many shops are present outside for refreshments, food, try to bring your own. The fort is neatly maintained. It has original structures. Worth seeing.

Nice place and maintained well. The remains of vintage kakatiya dynasty would be seen all around. The architecture on the rocks are excellent. Choose to take a guide along with you if you want to know in depth about the history. A Must visit place at Warangal.

This is the beautiful place for the history lovers. There are many many stone carvings are laying down, most of them are in shattered condition, but one can see it thoroughly. It depends on your interest that how much time you are going to spend here, just make sure this Fort closes for visitors around 6pm and security person will inform us to leave. There is a Sound & Light show @ 7pm in Telugu for 40 minutes and in English/Hindi @ 8pm (depending on crowd).

Do not have high expectations on this place. This place is divided in four major places. 1. At entry you will get moderately high walls of strech of around 100 meters max. 2. A tall prison like structure. Don't know what it was, it was less attractive so nobody cares to enter it or explore it. 3. Left over of some old pillars distributed around 120x120 meters area approximately. Those pillars does have some carvings which will bring your attention towards them. 4. Lastly one amusement park(kind of) with a Hindu shrine on top of a 50-60 meter high knoll. You will get a very good view of the surroundings from the top.

A place where you can witness the ancient architecture and design on stones and you'll be amazed seeing the work done on those. Some of them look impossible to make in those days. Must Visit Place.

Warangal fort is the main attraction of Warangal. Beautiful place with many sculptures. Though the toilets are clean, but i dont think many people go there. Toilets doesn’t have water. So check before you go the toilets.

It's the feeble remains of the great kaktiya architecture. Looking at this ruins of once a great structure anger you about the heritage stolen from us by a treacherous dynasty. This is a intricate carvings on the pillars never fails to astonish you. I can only imagine what it would have been on its full scale.

It’s a must visit place in Warangal. Only catch here is it doesn’t look a fort from any direction….. it’s just like some ruins. Very access and good to click few pictures. I liked the Bhadrakali temple in city compared to this one.

This is one of the major tourists attraction of Warangal. The fort was originally built by the rulers of Kakatiya dynasty but now you could see the remains of the fort. The place is very well maintained. You could spent some quality time with your family. The remains of the fort reminds of the archeological brilliance of Kakatiya dynasty. It's a paradise for the people who loves photography. There is a children's park very near to this place. You can visit this park also.

A Glimpse into History: Warangal Fort Warangal Fort stands as a testament to the architectural marvels of ancient India. This historical edifice, steeped in the sands of time, offers a captivating journey back to an era when grandeur and strategic acumen merged to create magnificent fortifications. The fort, with its massive stone walls, draws you into a world where size and strength were paramount. Its imposing presence reminds us of the strategic importance it held in its heyday. Exploring its grandeur is like walking through a living history book. The fort's rich history unfolds as you step into its interior. The remnants of temples, gateways, and sculptures provide a glimpse into the cultural and religious facets of the bygone era. The iconic Thousand Pillar Temple within the fort complex is a testament to the architectural brilliance of the time. While the fort offers an immersive experience into history, it's essential to consider its current state. The lack of comprehensive signage or guided tours might require some independent research to fully grasp the historical significance of each site within the complex. The fort's restoration efforts are commendable, ensuring that future generations can continue to connect with their heritage. However, preserving such ancient treasures demands constant vigilance, and ongoing restoration work is essential to maintain their structural integrity. In conclusion, Warangal Fort is a historical gem that invites you to step back in time. Its formidable walls, intricate sculptures, and cultural significance create an immersive journey into the past. While some aspects, such as guided tours or comprehensive information, could enhance the experience, the fort's historical resonance and architectural grandeur make it a visit worth undertaking. It's a place where history breathes, and the echoes of the past resonate with each step you take within its walls.
