Probably one of the best diners in Connecticut. Portions are generous, some even oversized, and out good quality. We did have an issue with one of the salads not being very fresh, but they quickly replaced it with a new one that was perfect. Service is very friendly, though we were surprised by the level of English skills and comprehension that some of the staff possessed (it rather lacked). All and all, prices, menu, and service are well-balanced, and well worth a visit.

We went there our first night in town @ 830pm. They were very pleasant and the food we ordered was served quickly and the portions were huge! I got the Rockstar burger and my husband got the Greek gyro platter, both were outstanding! We were both so impressed we went back for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. We actually tried another diner that night for dinner and it was disgusting. We compared everything to this diner, and obviously this place won. This place is absolutely worth the stop and worth the prices. If were ever back in stamford we will 100% be back!

I stopped in for a bite on my way home and im so glad I decided to dine in. The staff was attentive and Salmon salad I ordered was absolutely delicious. Very impressive for a diner.

Well, i should confess, i love me some diners :) with that said - this one definitely didn't disappoint. We had a bit of a wait on a Saturday morning, but it was well worth it. Food was fresh and delicious. Peach mimosa was a great choice also. Nice diner like atmosphere, very traditional and the staff was friendly.

The diner is spotless, the counter, the tables, everything is perfect. The staff are friendly and professional. Now the food is very ample, large servings and well presented. Taste is definitely a treat, also with a massive menu finding something is easy. Top notch all the way around. The one negative I would say is their take out service or delivery which always seems to take a long time even when the establishment is quiet. Other than that rating of 11/10

All of the food that we ordered was well prepared- some dishes stood out more than others. Clam Chowder, Rueben, & Fries were all delicious. Surprisingly, the Matzoh Ball Soup from DDD wasn’t great. Service was attentive and speedy. The food was overpriced for diner fare, but forgivably so. Overall, would recommend.

The service staff were great, and the food came out quick. The food was what you would expect from a diner, but it was pretty expensive.

We stopped here because it's a DDD location and had to try it. A little bit pricey but the steak quesidilla I got was absolutely delicious. My husband got the Ceasar wrap and it wasn't as good but the fries were decent. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here but decent!

Pleasant diner atmosphere with Upscale Menu. Yes, a little pricey, but they have high quality food with chef quality flavor and presentation! Have dined in and carried out (sorry no dine in pics), and the food is consistently flavorful and perfectly presented in dine out as well as dine in. Amazing Bison burgers, breakfast choices and the best Bread Pudding in the Tri-State area hands down!

I ordered the tuna melt, and it tasted like there was something missing. The fries and coconut shrimp were awesome. My wife ordered the French dip, and it was really good. We both had Bloody Marie's, and they were fantastic. The server was minimal, but the atmosphere was what made the experience worthwhile.

Absolutely delicious! I ate two meals here while I was staying at the hotel next door and thoroughly enjoyed both meals! First meal I had was the Souvlaki with a Greek salad and both were excellent! I am very particular with my Greek food but both items passed my test! Second meal I got the Texas burger and simply put it was phenomenal!

Driving through Connecticut this seemed to be a good spot to stop for lunch. Absolutely loved the experience. When I walked through the doors I felt like I stepped back in time. The decor is great, the food is delicious and portions are big.

I remember coming here when I was a little girl. I always had a good experience and today was no different. I had a buffalo chicken wrap and it was so good. Definitely great portions for the price you pay. The food is really good and so is the staff.

First impression entering the place after renovation was great and loved the atmosphere. The waiter was cordial, attentive and service good. I myself ordered a couple try breakfast which was not to my taste. The sausage tasted a little greasy the ham a kind of sweet but it won’t stop me to return to try something else.

A great place to eat. It's like being transported back in time. 1960s vibe and everything is in great shape (not run down). Our waitress, Marianna was friendly and funny. The food was delicious. I enjoyed my Russian panini and the fries were very crispy and not at all oily. We will be coming back for dessert. What back for dessert. The chocolate shake and cheese cake were excellent.

Awesome diner themed restaurant, visited by Guy Fieri. We tried a couple different plates and the food was great. You could tell it was made fresh and in house. Portions were also good and they have options on the menu for everyone. Service was super nice from the moment you walk in and the atmosphere was cozy. Would definitely come back here again when I’m in the area to get some good food.

When we go on vacation for fun, we try to go to a Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Didn't realize this just aired not too long ago. We had the open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, and cranberry sauce. It was delicious. Big enough for my lunch and dinner. My husband had the French onion soup. He said it was the best soup he ever had. We also got the french dip but took it to go because we had so much food

An excellent spot for a classic family dinner. The whole place has a retro 50’s vibe while still being clean and modern. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very fast. Our food came out so quickly we had barely touched our soup. I enjoyed the turkey dinner, the mashed potato’s were freshly made and the cornbread dressing had a nice sweetness. The broccoli was cut on the large side and had little seasoning, but was still okay. They serve breakfast all day so the whole menu is fair game. The chili appetizer was good but *very* big and cheesy, so make sure you have some people to share it with. Additionally, the whole restaurant is connected to the La Quinta hotel, which makes it very convenient if you’re staying there. Overall, great food, a little pricey, but worth it for a good family experience.

It’s hard not to like s classic, local diner, and the Stamford Diner hits the spot. While they have an upscale specials menu, all of your diner favorites are here as well. Featured: crispy raisin French toast, their rich, special of corn beef, hash, stuffed in two large onion rings with eggs and hollandaise sauce, crispy corned beef hash with two Sunny side up eggs.

The diner looks amazing. The food tastes amazing!! I had the eggs benedict and was able to change the muffin to gluten-free bread. Home fries (potatoes) were so tasty; however, I did need to season with salt and pepper. There were several people to help get us ready set, but only one official server. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we had to call our server for more drinks and our bill. I think because she has help bringing the drinks and food, she forgot about looking at the details of our table which took away from the experience.

It was my first time at this establishment. I was referred to it by an employee at Subaru when I asked for eateries nearby. Other than the awkward moment at entrance on guidance where to be seated, I really enjoyed the food here. It is by far one of the best diner foods I have had so far. The portion sizes were also very generous and delicious. The salad was very fresh and fries very crisp. Will definitely be back.

Classic American Diner with wide ranging menu, done extremely well. Both Matzo Ball Soup and Disco Fries were excellent.

Had a good time and a great meal at Stamford Diner with my wife. Even though there were many people in the restaurant, wait time for the food was good and we got plenty of attention from our server just in case we needed anything. I reccomend this place as it has an authentic feel, good dessert options, and pretty good food too.

Dinner was excellent! Huge selection of options, from classic American to Greek, wraps, and seafood. Definitely a bit pricier, but good quality and lots of food. Very rapid and excellent service as well.

Efficient, quick but classic diner food with bland flavor. My waitress rushed me and showed lack of care attending me. She spilled the coffee while pouring it and didn’t bother apologizing or cleaning up.

Ordered a burger (med. well) & fries, mango habanero wings & a choc. fudge cake. Positive: Still offer generous portion sizes. Negative: Burger was med rare (very pink) & not seasoned at all, fries were soggy. Usually request to vent container to avoid this, they never do. Wings were seasoned w/ some type of sweet glaze & cayenne & paprika powders; certainly not mango habanero. Taste / texture was very gritty & much different from when last ordered. Sponge was mushy on choc. cake leaving my choc. loving 6 year old refusing any more after 1 bite. Stamford Diner's quality used to be very consistent, but seems to have gone down since start of the pandemic. This is not my first subpar experience, but is my first negative review for them. Looks like they're cutting corners, but certainly not cutting prices. Used to be my go to, unfortunately it will be a long while before I order from here again. Hoping for improvement!

If you're looking for the quintessential diner experience, here is the place to go. The pancakes are fluffy, the fruit was fresh, the coffee hot, and everything was delicious.

The finest diner I've ever been to! Very smart, clean and efficient. We first went into dinner 15 mins before it was closed, expecting to be turned away, but not at all. In fact others arrived after us and we were offered full service. Food was excellent, with huge helpings and washed down with a great beer selection. We went back to breakfast the next day and were not disappointed, by the same great service, amazing wide menu and good food.
