Nice paved trails to run, walk, skate, bike… on. Good views of the bay and some big rocks near the shore as well as open grass fields, and sand beaches. The water stays very shallow far out and it’s probably not the cleanest to swim in but there’s outdoor showers to wash off in after and bathrooms on site. The parking is fairly expensive if you don’t have a pass but you can maybe find a place nearby to park for free.

Its a great place for a run, picnic or just a good family time. Views are amazing. It's always very busy, you can spend almost a day out here. I have always had a good experience and made good memories here. Great for photographers too, can test the HDR and other photography features to full effect.

Beautiful and serene place for a quiet afternoon walk. The park is well maintained except there are no restrooms. You can sit on the benches overlooking the river and have some quiet time to yourself. The view is amazing. The walking track is pretty small.

Very nice ... very quiet ... but we are not from Connecticut- we are from NYC ... the ticket to enter the park is $69.00 per car ... I honestly think is expensive 😕

Miles of neat walking and biking paths. Gorgeous views of Long Island sound. Nice beach. Convenient restrooms at either end. Needs a season pass (for stamford residents) or a day pass for non residents to enter via vehicle and park. There's a free tram that runs in the summer and takes you around the whole park if you are walking or biking challenged! Picnic benches abound. Great place for a picnic lunch.

Beautiful scenery with limited picnic tables set on the beach. Ideal for large gatherings up to 20-25 friends and family, but is first-come-first-served. **WARNING!** Recommending water shoes/ back-strapped flip-flops along the shoreline being littered with seashells of all sorts to protect, especially young one's little and, all feet. ALSO! Second warning! There is an area on the far side with scattered grasses growing spiked barbuled seeds that easily penetrate skin if not wearing footwear covering the whole foot. Avoidable being this area is NOT a designated swimming zone and strictly more for fisherman. But another plus here are also plenty of grass, cliffs, and other areas to enjoy the Oceanview without stepping foot on sand for those with difficulty walking on those ever-shifting silica granules.

Huge oceanside park. There is plenty of place to walk the dog or for a morning run. There also is soccer, baseball and volleyball fields. A couple spots with picnic tables and BBQ are scattered across the park. There is also a few isolated benches along the beach to sit and a few great fishing spots.

Shame on City of Stamford! My family of 4 adults went to the park today for a stroll after a great dinner downtown in Stamford. After our walk we came back to our truck which had a citation on the windshield for $80.00. The entrance booth was not manned. The Enforcement officer explained that there is sign posted that says even if the booth isn't manned as of May 1 you must have a parking pass. Was there a sign? We sure didn't see it. Why $80.00? Why not require a payment of what you would charge if the booth was manned? Beautiful park, not worth the price!

I truly love this beach. Its location has a lot of diversity. It’s not just a beach; there is a park for kids and bike and walking paths, as well as bbq pits. Great place to walk the dog. If you go early enough you can catch the sunrise too!

Cove Island Beach is a picturesque coastal destination that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and a peaceful atmosphere The beach features a stunning coastline with soft, sandy shores that stretch along the sound. The sandy beach area is often accompanied by the presence of smooth, colorful pebbles and seashells, adding to its natural charm.

Island park in Stamford. Beach and walking trail. Places for BBQ and to enjoy picnic. Surrounded by Long Island sound. Outdoor fitness zone for exercise. The place becomes magical during sunset. Gets crowded during weekend. Facility for canoe, kayak, boarding.

Nice place to get your steps in. Be sure to checkout the sanctuary on the opposite side of the parking lot. Also, good place to kayak. Not free in the the warm months.

Beautiful park, they used to keep it a lot cleaner back in the days. There is a nice spot on the far back towarsd the left that you get a beautiful view of the sunset and moon at night.

This park would be great if it wouldn't miss basic amenities: restaurant, beergarten, playground at the beach. There's a lot of unused space. Also the cycling / skating lanes have very rough and partially broken surface, so not great for skating.

It’s absolutely gorgeous. I cut a star because when we were there in April there were no working restrooms. Anyone that visits with a family understands that is unacceptable. It’s possible that they were closed because of the time of year. No way for me to know but truly a beautiful place for the kids to run around and play

Cove Island Park is a great beach to go for a walk and relax after a day of work. There is a playground where you can go and bring the children to play. You can also do BBQ'S at the park and then sit on the beach and tan or just watch the water. Lots of family fun. Dogs are welcome at the beach just please pick up after your pet. There are restrooms 🚻 for visitors at park at 3 locations. Please come to the beach and enjoy a good time.

A nice, quaint beach where you can fish, ride a canoe/boat (if you have one) or just walk. There is a nice kid's area and a little gym area for adults. The walk areas are nicely paved. Both seniors and specially abled people can move with ease. You can also find deer here almost everyday. I've seen people celebrate small events here, like birthday parties, etc. You can get a season pass here for regular visits.

Stopped there for lunch. Unfortunately it was very cold and windy that day so couldn't enjoy the scenery very much. The restroom situation was pretty bad only 2 portable outhouses. I think 1 was even locked.

A very beautiful place with a paved walk and a little beach. The sand is quite rough. The price to enter is expensive: $45 for weekday for non CT resident. And you better have cash because their credit card machine doesn't work due to poor internet connection there. And if you don't pay the entrance fee, the fine is$80!

Childhood place here but its always been a hit or miss. Environmentally geese gotta go to cummings park instead of here and the water needs treatment as its been bad for a while, cant be good for the animals around. But the beach is nice and good here for a jog

Spent the day with husband and grandkids. Walked along the beach, they played in the water and at the playground. It was good to be outside.
