My mom and I recently stayed to for a couple nights to celebrate my birthday and I am already ready to go back! The location and setting were incredible with a beautiful pool, and landscaped grounds. Everything was in walking distance, which made it great to just be able to park the car and walk to all the shops and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and clean. The care and thought that was put into each room can be seen the moment you unlock the door. The mini fridges in the room were a fantastic touch. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Stanton House. Each and everyone of them made our stay wonderful. They were helpful, kind, and we enjoyed talking to them. If you plan to stay in Greenwich, Stanton House Inn has to be your number one choice!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Absolutely wonderful place. As others have said - the pool is lovely, and the location is perfect. It's maybe a 10 min walk to downtown Greenwich, bars, restaurants, etc. Our rooms had mini fridges and Whole Foods is a 5 min walk away. Easy parking, easy room entry via keypad. Although not what I would call luxurious, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Super communication through texts. Beds are great, as was breakfast (although I wish it started a bit earlier than 8am). Minor areas for improvement - room was a tad musty and only one window had a screen. Wish they had almond milk for coffee (I didn't ask so maybe they did). Overall highly recommend.

The Stanton House Inn is a special place. The Inn provides a calm and relaxing environment in the heart of Greenwich. Shops and excellent restaurants are a short distance away. My wife and I are relocating to Connecticut and stayed here for a few days while we looked for a place to live. It’s easy to explore all that Fairfield County has to offer! Bonus points for a nice clean pool area to enjoy as well!

My favorite ... The Stanton House Inn is delightfully charming, quiet, and the English gardens are spectacular; where I delight in spending most of my time. Guestrooms are private, charming, well appointed, clean, temperature controlled (cool!), and cozy. The outdoor pool is refreshing, serence, and perfect for lap swimming. The Inn is always stocked with snacks & drinks. Breakfast in the morning is a highlight-- delicious and fresh continental style and more with French pressed coffee! The team is friendly and always available and go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and well taken care of. I will be back again, soon. Thank you so much!

The Stanton House Inn is a wonderful, charming place for a relaxing getaway. The Inn is a perfect location if you’re looking to take the train into New York City, as the nearest station is less than 5 minutes away. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Breakfast here is great, complete with fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurt, and hot options as well. And there is always a supply of bottled water and snacks for guests. We very much look forward to our next stay!

The room was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The location is great. Quiet but easy access to town and local attractions. Two issues made it very difficult to give the Inn a high rating. Security is not great. The front door doesn't latch on its own and reception is not continuously staffed. This didn't lead to peace of mind. n addition, the cleaning staff (Merry Maids) was incredibly raucous. They arrived well before 9 and could be heard outside yelling back and forth. Then they began cleaning and shouting back and forth inside over the sound of the vacuum cleaners right outside my door. I left well before check out time because I couldn't do some of the phone calls I needed to do in peace.

I recently hosted my daughter's baby shower at the Inn - a Saturday tea - and, it could not have been more perfect....the setting, the staff, the teas and food, the atmosphere. The staff was super helpful - always replenishing tea and the goodies on the three-tiered trays; and, communication with Joel while planning and confirming aspects of my desires was seamless. Also, the tea room's large windows look out onto a lovely side garden. All in all a perfect celebration at Stanton House Inn. Thank you!

Place was great from beginning to end. Check in process was easy and the suite was excellent. My wife still talks about the avocado toast she had for breakfast. Will definitely return.

Look no further if you are coming to Greenwich…Stanton House Inn is the perfect place and location. I stayed in room 38 which is at the top. Bed extremely comfortable, linens were amazing….The room has a small fridge, space heater if you need it warmer. The offerings for breakfast were always fresh and delicious…Coffee, juice, pastries, fresh bagels, quiches, toast with avocado…You won’t be disappointed if you stay here. Colin and the other hosts were professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Stanton House feels cozy from the moment you enter. Actually, it lives up to everything it promises. The Innkeepers are lovely and attentive. The property is classically beautiful. And, there is easy access from I-95! The breakfast, definitely a step up from continental! Our room was calming and comfortable. I slept like a log! We chose the Inn over staying in NYC. A wise decision for all of the above reasons! Train station 5 minutes away by Uber! I highly recommend the Stanton House Inn! Believe me, it’s an upscale, albeit, welcoming experience!

My daughter and I had a short 2 night stay at the Stanton House Inn over the summer in August. The property was beautiful and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and we truly enjoyed it. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They were easy to get in contact with via text if anything happened and were quick to respond. When we had a small issue with one of the bathrooms, they offered to move and upgrade us to another room. The new room was absolutely beautiful and extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed having the complimentary snacks that were restocked often and we also enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely go back again and would recommend to others!

We love this place. Everything was perfect but most importantly the spotless condition of the rooms and beautiful furnishings. Everything was very clean and you can tell a lot of thought goes into the daily operation and amenities. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast hours were good and we appreciate not having to sit down at a specific time to eat with everyone. The grounds and location were great especially the pool. Can't imagine anything less than a 5 Star review. AND the house was designed by Stanford White! We definitely recommend this B&B if you stay in Greenwich which is such a lovely town!

I loved loved loved everything about my stay here. For me, an Italian living in New York for about 6 years, who grew up with American tv-shows like Gilmore Girls, sleeping in a classic CT Inn was a dream to be fulfilled and Stanton House did not disappoint. Everything was as I imagined and beyond. The room, the bed and the bathroom were great. The house itself had the perfect charm and details that make me want to come back in the fall or Christmas time, since it is not even 40 minutes from NYC. Only thing was the breakfast, which could definitely be improved (but was included in the price), was very basic and "sad". And furthermore the position of the house, that unfortunately was on a fairly busy road, so even at the pool the car and truck noise was too loud to really fully relax! The staff was great also! Will be back soon!

such a special place to stay. and clearly run by lovely, caring individuals who make a point of reaching out (in ways that are sweet) and *staying* connected to guests to ensure they have a wonderful experience. the property is truly beautiful. and my room was perfect… very comfortable, nicely private, perfectly appointed. i also felt incredibly safe—a nice bonus since i was traveling alone on this trip. ps? the room configurations are such that they remain surprisingly quiet—granted, i was on the 3rd floor, but still, several rooms were occupied, including the one next door, and i really had to strain to hear what those folks were saying. kidding, i KID! it was just very cozy & peaceful… and that was grand! needless to say (she says, needlessly) i was beyond happy with my choice, and am now excited to come back. hopefully that will be soon, and, with luck, i’ll convince my beloved husband to join me! :)

My rating and review is based on a guest who is a handicapped elderly, yes it a charming established B&B but when a bathtub without a holding bar it becomes a true safety hazard. When arriving late becomes a struggle to carry up two flight of stairs. Next stay I will have to look for convenience and ditch the charm. Staff very courteous but useless when they are not there after seven. What if for some reason I became incapacitated in my room after 7:00 pm? We should make room for the young and able bodied guests to enjoy the charm of Stanton Inn.

Charming New England B&B; room was clean and well appointed; complimentary breakfast was delicious and my husband and I enjoyed the quiche of the day. Innkeepers were organized and provided the right amount of communication. Would definitely stay there again when we visit Wesleyan

Such friendly, accommodating staff. Communicating with the team via text message was so easy. Really cute rooms. Easy walk to Greenwich Ave. Check out the secret garden in the back of the house! Also, check out Coffee for Good next door.

A very beautiful inn located in a quiet, lovely neighborhood. The rooms are charming and modern, and the grounds surrounding are full of well maintained trees and flowers. Special thank you to Gillian and Madison who went above and beyond to make our stay so pleasant and comfortable in every way. We hope to return!

We had the most perfect weekend at the Stanton House - the property was beautiful and cozy, well maintained, the staff was friendly and responsive and the room was perfect. We had the perfect combination of privacy and being in an inn amongst other guests. Would highly recommend and plan to return!

I can't say enough good things about our experience. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast offerings were amazing, and the home itself was beautiful. Our room was elegant and very clean. Amenities including a French press for in-room coffee was a great touch. Even the shower was great! Do not hesitate to stay here! Promise, you won't regret it.

We loved it here. Walking distance to shops, grocery & restaurants but also to neighborhoods for a jog. Clean, big, quiet pool. Beds comfy. Breakfast plenty. Comfortable spot. We would not stay elsewhere in this area.

The inn was gorgeous, very clean, well decorated and maintained. Our room was spacious, elegant and with a comfortable king sized bed. The inn's garden is in much need of a professional; and quickly, in order to keep it from becoming unrecoverable. The garden has HUGE potential. It was once a grand asset of the home. We were supposed to have received a text from the Inn before we arrived, explaining the check-in procedure. Check-in would have been very simple but, unfortunately, our cell phone number had been recorded incorrectly. No text was received. So, once we arrived at the inn, we had to go searching for a staff member in order to get into our room. Breakfast service needs attention. My spouse has a dairy allergy of which we informed the inn as a part of the online reservation process. However, only creamers were available for breakfast. We also noted that bowls were not set out for the offered cereals. We ordered quiche which was freshly baked and quite good. Similarly, the avocado toast we ordered was good. However the toast was served with a hard boiled egg that was still in its shell. The egg had been boiled earlier and had been refrigerated, drying the shell to the egg. Removing the shell at our table was a messy procedure. These struck us as simple errors that could be easily resolved. The inn is in a great location; in an attractive residential neighborhood, and within very short driving distances to the Greenwich shopping district, the Bruce Museum and excellent restaurants. We would stay here again, but offer these constructive criticisms in the hope that Colin and his staff can focus on a few items that would put this inn in a stellar position.

Our stay was just great. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed. We had a private balcony with a table and chairs where we were able to sit for a quiet dinner. The inn is only a couple of minutes walk from downtown but is quiet, with a large garden and trees. We even saw wild rabbits. The breakfast was great - a wonderful quiche and great coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Lucas. We would definitely recommend the inn and hope to stay here again.

My partner and I had a wonderful time at Stanton House Inn - we both agreed that it felt like we were transported back to an earlier, more urbane era. The room we stayed in (28) was comfortable and spacious, as were the common areas. The breakfast was delicious - I'm still dreaming of the (I think it was) German egg bake. I could eat that every day. But the features that set Stanton House Inn apart are hospitality and communication. In particular, they make great use of text message as a communication medium, which was very convenient. I was lucky enough to find a few quiet moments to chat with one of the... I suppose the term is "Innkeepers", as charming and quaint as that sounds, and it was immediately clear how thoughtful, attentive, and friendly they are. It's a labor of love, and that shines through. I don't normally leave reviews, but Stanton House Inn deserves one. We're looking forward to the next time we're in the area.

Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience here. Coming to fairfield county for a funeral, after a long drive I simply needed rest. I was offered a room on the third floor, which i declined due to stairs and was given a room (#12) on the ground floor. Breakfast is served right outside the room, and it was quite noisy. Further, I was met by a shower curtain with black mold and sheets with black stains. I was extremely disgusted, and I had picked this property expressly because of their cleanliness ratings. This is either a problem with training or management, as the stains were quite apparent, yet someone still put them on the bed. Lastly, I phoned and emailed them after my stay to ask a billing question, and never received a response.

Central location. Lovely bed and breakfast. Great communication from staff before and during stay. The house is quaint but substantial, a bit "creaky" - like an old fashioned New England bed and breakfast. We had a very large room (Room 39) albeit with a Queen sized bed. Staff is attentive and helpful. We stayed 6 nights - SO MUCH BETTER than a hotel room. Ample parking. Walking distance to a little food, beverage, retail area and easy walk to Greenwich Avenue.

This was my first stay at Stanton House Inn, and it was a most enjoyable experience. My stay was four weeks long, busniess related, only made possible by the unique offering of Stanton House Inn. Stanton House Inn team’s exemplary service, and sincere hospitality, coupled with the comfortable spacious suite with good amenities, great location with proximity to Greenwich Ave and WholeFoods, beautiful matured gardens, and discreet service; simply put is was the next best thing as being in one’s home. Returning soon.

We've used the Stanton House Inn on many trips to the NYC and Greenwich, CT area. It's always been a pleasure. The location can't be beat. It's walkable to shopping, restaurants, groceries, and the train for an easy ride to NYC. Rooms and service have always been great. Looking forward to many more visits that will include the Stanton House Inn!

The Stanton House Inn staff is accommodating and friendly. They are just the right amount of presence--they're around if you need them and check-in with you daily. The breakfast selections were delicious and fresh. The Inn is clean and updated while cozy and charming. Thank you for everything!

Loved this Inn/ B&B! Beautiful home. Private and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Neighborhood was safe and we walked it every evening. Its about a mile walk to very very expensive shops and all kinds of restaurants. We were shocked at how congested the traffic was. We also didn't realize on a beautiful Saturday afternoon that we needed a pass to visit the beach, which we needed to purchase Mon-Fri. The staff was very helpful and kind, just missed being able to talk to the owner as we usually do. The town was centrally located so it wasnt too far to drive to nearby attractions. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Love staying here when I fly in to visit my daughter. Staff is extremely helpful. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Grounds are lovely. Location is perfect and in close walking distance to everything: Starbucks, While Foods, Greenwich Avenue and all the amazing restaurants and stores there. Breakfast is included and they have yummy choices to choose from while dining in a most civilized and and homey setting.

What a wonderful place! The house itself is gorgeous - our room and all the common spaces were charming, plus the pool is so lovely to relax by. We're missing it already! The staff were another highlight - we met two ladies during our stay, and both went above and beyond to make our trip fantastic, even bringing out ice pops and fresh lemonade while we were by the pool. The only slight negative from our trip was the breakfast - based on previous reviews and a menu we found on their website from Winter 2021 (that smoked salmon croissant sounded to die for), we were really excited for the breakfast. The menu we got was to pick one from: avocado toast (with hard boiled egg), a slice of quiche (which was tasty but small), oatmeal or fruit parfait. There were also bagels, cream cheese, fresh fruit, and cereal. We'd hoped for something like the baked eggs or croissant, though! It also would've been nice to have the option of having a cappuccino etc, rather than just a big pot of coffee for the room - we have a Breville machine at home and we really missed it! Other than that, it was wonderful and we'd love to be back.

FANTASTIC getaway! My husband and I just spent our 3rd visit at The Stanton House Inn. This B&B feels like “our home away from home” located in a beautiful setting. The house is so inviting with each room being unique and very comfortable, stocked with a French press and coffee for your early morning leisure, great breakfasts in The Tea Room, great location and easy walk to Greenwich DT area, and even has a swimming pool, and staff are wonderful. What more can you want? Will continue to stay here

My wife and I (as well as our 5 pound Papillon) really enjoy staying here when we visit annually. The Inn is cozy, beautifully appointed, walking distance from town, and has every amenity you might need to make it a comfortable stay. We had plans to go into Manhattan one day by train when it was raining. We didn't have umbrellas with us, but the Inn had large umbrellas for its guests to borrow! It literally saved the day for us in the wet city. And the breakfasts are something to look forward to! What else can I say? We absolutely love it!

😠 The lady at the front desk was polite but unfortunately this place is not pet friendly. Also they don't seem to care if they are service animals, I offered to show paper work and even let them know that refusing service animals was ILLEGAL but I guess veterans with service animals are not welcomed.
