Poor customer services. The night manager has a bad attitude and doesn't care about customer service. Three customers wanted to buy desserts from the bakery department, but nobody approached to help them, so I decided to find the manager and explain to him the situation, and he just said it is closed and his employees have the power to decide if they want to help customers if the bakery is closed. The night manager was rude , even I told him that we are loyal customers. He just acted like he didn't care. Also, I told him that there was no sign with the bakery schedule hours, but he just didn't pay attention to my complaints. I am so disappointed with the way that this manager is managing the store at night. All customers deserve respect. Shoprite, you need to be careful of the employees that you hire. The manager has to be a leader and be a role model to the rest of the employees. A person like that doesn't deserve to be a manager. It is very clear that this young man does not know the word courtesy and even worse, He doesn't know that customer satisfaction is the most important element in a business. 9/28/2023

Never had any problems when Sam was alive, went to store one day after sale began, I was looking for bed sheets, which I have purchase in this store before, could not find them, asked customer service, she said something about they weren’t ordered and probably won’t be, to check the two other stores in Stamford, if Sam were here he would of made sure they were ordered, these workers got to be the laziest people , they can’t make a phone call? Been shopping here since 1973 when I moved to Stamford, why advertise something if people are too lazy to care about their customers? Shame on this store, it is going downhill

Manager is too lazy to take care of about the customers. The colombian guy was so rude he was the night manager. Poor customer service, he did not know what to do.

Typical Shoprite... great produce and crowds. Love the chain for great priced products but hate the packed parking lots. Great, helpful pharmacist who administered a COVID shot. Narrow isles ...store needs a makeovers.

Have had 3 negative encounters with employees throughout the years at ShopRite-Shippan. Some employees aren’t aware of the store promotions, one has even said “don’t worry about it, it’s none of your business”. When asked to speak to the manager, he was paged but nowhere to be found…waited about 10 minutes. It seems customers aren’t taken seriously. I keep telling myself I shall not go back there! Their lack of customer service should be enough for me to put this location to rest….they don’t deserve my loyalty. It’s contradictory that the store is being upgraded but will have the same rude employees who need customer service skills.

Love malt-o-meal cereal options. Overall selection of foods a wide variety best prices in the city.

They always have the best selections from ShopRite in Shippan Ave. The meat selection has gotten extremely better lately. The staff is very friendly and happy. The fresh vegetables are delicious. I love going to this ShopRite rather than any of the others. This one is not as large but this one you find more people going to it. My family and I enjoy this one the much better and lots of our friends Thank You. Ok

Pharmacy staff is Always helpful and pleasant with me. I keep my meds on Shippan eventhough I live on the Westside because I like them so much

Most days I find here fresh and tasty fruits. This is the main reason that brings me here.

Merchandise is as expected. Customer service desk is not very friendly. Traffic in and out could be slow.

This is a great ShopRite. The employees are very helpful. The produce looks beautiful. They have a bakery. The cold cuts are excellent. I was a little surprised at the meat section, because it's a bit on the small side. They also have lots of international foods, not just two shelves in an aisle.

I mostly like this Shop Rite due to it being close to my home and also the prices. However, the parking situation is terrible, and people speed and go the wrong direction. When I was younger, there was always a police officer helping with traffic. Perhaps that needs to start again.

Miminal english spoken. No Adequate parking. It's old needs upgrading. Overstocked isles. Hard to navigate with people. In the way everywhere.

When you first walk in space is a little tight but otherwise everything you need and simple clearly laid out aisles.

Their Mac and cheese is utter trash. No taste, no cheese, they use that cheap cheese powder which just makes the macaroni sit in a bland soupy cheese sauce

Best Shoprite among all the Shoprite, very welcoming and helpful all the employees and the all department managers. Shelves are stocked well and clean. Groceries stocked well and are not out dated, clean floors and clean and healthy products. Produce is fresh and green which is very appealing. Only one drawback the parking, parking area is tight I wish they have a bigger lot. Shopping at this particular Shoprite is recommended *****

I am leaving 1 star because I cannot leave 0. This store is a disgusting dump. There is rotten fruit and rotten vegetables for sale ALL THE TIME. I had to return 3 bags of grapefruits in the same week because they were literally rotten, green and dripping mold. They put scraps of meat under the actual meats in the butcher case to make up weight. We bought ribs that had almost 2 pounds of unusable scrap hidden under the actual ribs, increasing the price. This is criminal. The cashiers are children and are untrained; they talk about non-work issues with co-workers constantly and are on their phones which leads to errors in ringing up and the customer being overcharged. Does the store offer to refund me when their onions are moldy and their cashiers make errors? Yes, but I am tired of having to make multiple trips to this store because of weekly errors that can be prevented by proper management and proper training of staff. This place is a dump, go somewhere else.

The store was clean and things were pretty easy to find. Very crowded the night before the Super Bowl. The checkout girl was very nice and helpful however we were in a hurry and didn't want to wait for a price check as our drinks rang up without the sale price. The only thing that wasn't great was the parking lot. I think it was well organized on a regular day but because of the Super Bowl frantic shoppers people were honking and it was not easy to get in and out of spaces due to the traffic flow. The store itself was conveniently located to where we were visiting and had great entrance and exit locations!

Good for a quick grab and last minute item if you live in harbor point or the nearby area

I love the store due to its location however the website is trash because you need an account to even be able shop or browse which is beyond horrible. Other than that I love the store but would like to be able to browse what I want to possibly buy without having to create an account.

Good quality and good prices

This is definitely my favorite shot right the customer service is 80% spot on I've ran into probably two people that were not so great in the customer service department but other than that always great customer service the management team is always great and assisting me. They have a great selection of food they're hot buffet they're deli everything is very well stocked usually. Would definitely go here over the one on Hope Street.

What can you say bad about ShopRite? Absolutely nothing I like it although it seems that so does everyone else because the parking lot was hell to navigate

I really like shopping at ShopRite.The staff friendly and willing to assist you, prices are reasonable, shelves are full , fresh fruits and vegetables, quality meats,for meat lovers and I can find plant base food. ShopRite is a great place to grocery shop.👍

The best shoprite with the most welcoming workers. This review is specifically for the cashier I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday. I believe her name was Aneta. I frequently visit this shoprite but yesterday was my first time meeting Aneta. After a long day of work and having to make a trip to the grocery store with 3 young kids, Aneta was so helpful and patient. She consciously packed my items to make sure they were not too heavy and even provided some encouraging words on my way out. Her smile, customer service and mom encouragement that I am a great mom really turned my tired day around. Thank you Aneta your kindness is appreciated.
