I've been coming here since they opened over 10 years ago in stamford. Their pork belly tacos were amazing however, ever since they went corporate, the food portions got smaller, the cost rose and the quality slowly but surely pulled back and since the pandemic, the service has suffered as well. We were there again last night and paid $68 for 5 pork belly tacos 1 large guacamole (used to be their small size) 2 margaritas... Crazy right? I no longer recommend it and think you'd do well to skip it.

Horrible manager. I had called to join the waitlist, once I came, I figured I had to wait some more for my table which was totally fine. The hostess nor the manager himself did not greet me when I came in, I sat at the bar for about 15 minutes, nobody gave me an update in my table nor was I greeted or checked on. There were two empty tables and I had thought that one of them would be for me, but as I continued waiting I noticed it wasn’t as a party of two (which I was as well) sat down before us. I had asked for an update and the manager with a nasty attitude told me 20 more minutes. Okay cool. after, another party of two sat down and I just realized that clearly, he wasn’t trying to sit us. As soon as I leave, my table is ready and I walk back, it was only THREE MINUTES & he had already cancelled the table. I thought the grace period was 5 minutes. But whatever. The food is great but when management is trash, I don’t plan to ever go to this location again. Very disappointing and the managers attitude was gross, i don’t know how they have him as the face of the restaurant.

Good little spot to grab some decent eats. The prices are reasonable but because it's a bar, the atmosphere is a little loud for my taste. Don't come here if you are craving conversation. The tacos were tasty but the service was lacking a little bit.

This bartaco location is fantastic! All bartaco locations are amazing but the Stamford location is chill with a great vibe. You can never go wrong here. The belly tacos and shrimp tacos are my favorite. If you’re hungry and love tacos + tequila, look no further!

Stopped by because of good reviews, got the Baja Fish Tacos, Salsa Verde & Guacamole! Fantastic!

My favorite taco spot in Stamford!! Food is always fresh and comes out quick. Service is amazing. All servers are super friendly and attentive. The manager Matt is super accommodating and incredibly friendly. My top picks are always the falafel taco and pork belly taco. I never come here without ordering the plantains ;) the dip that comes with it is so good! It is never too crowded here. Always found good seating. Bar is always free to sit as well. Definitely a continuous lunch spot for me !!

No matter what bar taco location you go to, the food is always great. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. Crazy long waits at dinner time and they don't do reservations so be warned. The pork belly and duck tacos are the best, highly recommend. Tres leches cake is also very good.

Adam is simply the best waiter! Very polite, funny and quick on his feet. After a delicious drink or two I awkwardly asked for a straw and the rest is history. Clearly him giving me the best straw created a bond. Not only was he fast, he was conscious of sanity needs and brought the straw with a napkin. I have an auto-immune disease and his thoughtfulness to not spread germs and just laughter meant the world! My friend and I are new here and already planning our next night at our Bar Taco.

I have only been here twice in 5 years. 1st time was fine, grabbed a couple tacos and churros. Our most recent visit, we sat at the bar to have a drink and a taco. Shortly after we sat a bartender said they had to hold one of our credit cards before we ordered. Did not say why. When we were done and asked for the check, he automatically ran the entire check onto the held credit card without even asking. I have never experienced this before and to be honest, it was quite off-putting and I'm not sure we'll be back.

First visit and it was great. Great environment, great food. Ordered Chorizo tacos and pork belly tacos. Manager came over and told me to eat the pork belly last. 🤯 IT WAS AMAZING!!! Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Margaritas were perfect!! Plantains we’re on point!!! Great experience!

The staff here are super friendly and helpful, the good is absolutely delicious and the prices are awesome. Overall amazing experience, if I'm ever in CT again this is one place I would love to revisit!

Oh my the pork belly here was absolutely delicious. We had a nice hangout with friends here. Beautifully decorated and easy to find off a main road. Valet parking opposite this restaurant at the hotel.

One of the best tacos I ever had. I came here with colleagues from work multiple times and probably will come again. It was so good!!! The first time I visited I remember thinking (and saying) that this was the best taco I ever had. It was really amazing and the atmosphere here is very nice.

Went there on date night with my fiancé. Food was amazing as always. Tried the duck birria and was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. The consomé was spicy, but sooooo good. I also always get a pork belly bowl. Must say this place never disappoints me. The spicy margarita was awesome as well!!

Went here late Sunday evening before close. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good. Tacos were solid. Roasted chicken was really good. The street corn off the cob was the best part. The kimchi isn’t really kimchi but I guess that the point. All in all very solid place and interested to come back when the bar is more lively.

Lisa was out bartender tonight. She was fabulous! Custom made drinks! Upsold us on everything! Don't ever lose her!!!

I love bar taco and have been a loyal customer for years. Their crispy oyster taco and duck bowl always does it for me. They swapped their chicken soup for the chicken tortilla a few months back. I thought this would be seasonal but very sad to hear it won’t be returning. This was an item I ordered too often. Please bring it back bar taco🥲🫶🏽

Bartaco is a great place, i've been here twice, the first one on my birthday and order the tahone weel flight and some porkbelly tacos, this was all AWESOME, made me come a second time just all by my own to get more pork belly tacos and some margaritas ( which are just really great, a perfect balance of everything thanks to the bartenders making them just before your eyes) so i want to consider myself as a food critique as I'm a chef and let me tell you that porkbelly tacos here are just awesome. Will be here tons of other times trying new stuff. It isn't expensive as well so its awesome.

I ordered pick up through DoorDash and the process was easy but the portions were so tiny for the price that I don't think I'll ever order to pick up from there again, The photo I included was the shrimp taco it was 17 plus dollars and you get four of these small tortillas and this is how many shrimps they gave us

booooooooo 👎👎👎👎 so so so bad. horrible food, even worse service. went with a group of 4, the place was empty and they wouldn’t seat us. we sat at the bar for 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order, bartender looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. the food eventually came out and was gross, tacos only had one or two things on them. they forgot one of the meals and someone in our party didn’t get to eat until we were all done. didn’t even apologize. was expensive and gross. go to taco bell for a better meal.

This place rocks! Fun Mexica spot - great vibe, super service and the tacos and drinks are fantastic. The pork belly taco is a must - and the cocktails are great! Will definitely be back!

Came with a friend after work for food and drinks sat at bar with an amazing bartender Liisa!!! Sweet as can be, helped us pick a great drink after a long day at work! If you want a delicious margarita go see Liisa!! :)

Took them a while to take my order but food was great as well as the staff! Margaritas was as the youngins say bussin bussin lol enjoy your food around positive vibes. Here’s a photo of the roasted duck roll and street corn. To die for!!

We planned to hit up bartaco and we managed to get a spot in the queue. It was so busy which is a good thing so we started off at the bar until we got a text to let us know we had a table. Drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was superb. We then got a table and upon arrival we scanned a QR code for the menu and ordered up a great spread. Food arrived so quickly and tasted so fresh and amazing. Some of us had a sweet tooth and we went for a batch of churros but unfortunately they were crispy on the outside but raw in the middle. Left a bad taste in my mouth and had to leave them. I dropped a star for that but apart from that definitely recommend. Love their bespoke sauces too.

Was at a work event in the area and the group wanted tacos. Little did we know that we were about to have one of the best taco experiences we’ve ever had. Everything was top notch and fresh. The hot sauces are FLAVORFUL with just enough kick and the tacos themselves are wow. The ambience is great too! We plan on going back just to hang out for a few hours even though it’s an hour away.

Was out in Stamford and wanted a quick bite to eat, so I went Bar Taco and I had a great time. I sat at the bar and Jessi took great care of me. Her recommendations were great and her service was amazing as well. She definitely has a bright future there……Will be back!!!

I love bartaco! The portions are small and the prices are a bit expensive, but I keep coming back because the food is so good. My favorite taco is the pork belly ($3.95) — braised pork belly caramelized in a sweet arbol chile glaze, topped with cilantro and pickled red onions. It’s a crowd pleaser! I also really like the sesame ribeye taco ($3.95) — ribeye beef marinated in a sweet sesame-soy sauce, topped with spicy kimchi and cilantro. Finally, an honorable mention goes to the chorizo taco ($2.95) — Argentinian style spiced and seared ground pork finished with sweet onion, fresh cilantro and a smoky red chimichurri sauce. Besides tacos, their ceviche ($9.50) is great — shrimp and cod tossed with fresh chiles, diced tomato and avocado in a bright citrus marinade, topped with cilantro, red onion and cayenne. But the one thing you must try (other than the pork belly tacos) is the tres leches dessert ($7) — vanilla sponge cake soaked in three milks, topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce and toasted coconut. As opposed to other tres leches cakes that are served on a plate, this one comes in a jar, so the cake doesn’t lose any of its moisture. It was incredibly delicious.

Great service. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. Outstanding kids menu. Family friendly. They also give kids great crayons and a coloring book.
