We had a great stay at Hotel Gut Schwaige! Very nice and helpful people. The room was large, also the bathroom. It was very clean! Breakfast was great, including freshly prepared eggs in the way you want them (boiled, fried, scrambled). It was nice and quiet, stone stairs so no squeaky wood with which people might wake each other up. There's an S-bahn station nearby which is very convenient without causing noise disturbance. The supermarket is nextdoor, which is handy. Very nice central location close to Munich as well as the Alps, lakes and intriguing castles. If you're not sure where to go next, the owner is always happy to offer great suggestions for nice roads and locations to visit, and venues to have lunch or diner. They create a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. If we are ever back in the area, this will definitely be the place where we will stay. Thank you for a great holiday!

Friendly and helpfull hosts who will make your stay here very pleasant and comfortable. Room was quiet and had all basic needs and space. Breakfast is good for a nice price too. There are some good restaurants around for dinner witch will be recomanded by the host. If I will be visiting this region again I would surely come back.

The hotel was excellent, clean, and a very peaceful change from the big chains. The staff was friendly, breakfast was terrific, and they even helped with a reservation at a local restaurant. Definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic smaller family run bed and breakfast for staying closeby Munich, Starnberger See and Schaftlarn Kloster. Very kind owner and hard working team who are ready to help and serve you for any matter you during your traver. The breakfast is personal and generious, rooms are very clean and location is perfect - all this for a small budged. Highly recommended. If you like hiking, the locatioin is convenient to take a nice walk along Isar (ca 30min walk from hotel to Isar) and visit Aumuhle or Bruckenfischer restaurants.

Wonderful hotel, not too far from Munich. We stayed here after visiting Neuschwanstein Castle on our way through to Munich, and it was the perfect distance. Lovely rooms, wonderful views, and delicious breakfast!

Nice place to stay. Just outside major cities and towns makes the price a bit better. Great 3 star hotel for a night.

This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Gut Schwaige. The new owner, Steffen, is extremely helpful, with tips on local activities. The Hotel is quiet, comfortable and ideally placed for touring the countryside south of Munich, with a good S-Bahn connection into the city.
