The barbeque that I purchased was great with a spice. This was the first time I tried barbeque cole slaw. That was an "interesting" experience for my palette. Nice place to eat. There is enough food on the entree to make you full.

You'll easily get hooked on this restaurant! The food tastes so delicious no matter what you choose to order. Their BBQ sandwich is a perfect 10!! The wings are delish! I suggest their wings with buffalo sauce. If you love catfish- look no further. They have the best! I also love their broccoli and cheese casserole as well as their fried okra!! Yummmy!! This is a great place to watch the game or just enjoy a meal with family and friends! Take your pick! You'll feel at home dining here!

I was excited to try this place. The first time I came, the card machine went down and I was unable to get food. Fast Forward to today and I call in a order. When I get there, they ask for my name and give me the wrong food. I tell her this is wrong because I ordered 5 wings, not 25 and immediately am told that "I didnt say that on the phone". They correct the food and I check the bag, guess what? wrong flavored wings. Im told again that I didnt say this on the phone. Mid sentence, my food is handed out the window and they realize they have 2 orders under the same name. SO I DID SAY THAT ON THE PHONE. Now lets get to the food. I got 5 plain wings and 2 sides. Plain must mean no seasoning because these were legit no flavor, sides were OK but could be much better. The highlight of the meal was my Arnold Palmer. Wasted time and money. Whole meal was cheeks.

Food is good but the exterior of the restaurant is run down. We are not from the area and almost didn't stay. Had a good lunch crowd come in while we were there.

Wings are good but the business has failed to keep up menu pricing online. Store has significantly higher prices than advertised.

People absolutely sleep on this place. The fried chicken is some of the absolute best. While this isn't the spot you come to for the atmosphere, the relaxed and unpretentious vibe is a come as you are kind of place. This place reminds you of a Sunday afternoon family reunion. This place also has excellent prices.

The absolute BEST wings I've ever had. And the Mac and cheese is as well. Has Wonderful customer service and is a family owned business.

Excited to try this place after a recommendation from a coworker. Wings were acrid tasting and burnt. Likely fried in old oil. Some sides were great, some were the worst I have ever had. The service was really nice and the atmosphere is fine. However, the food was disappointing.

This food was soooo delicious!! We’re from the south and were on our way through town to see our granny, first time back in a long time. between the chicken and the pork and the beans and the hushpuppies, everything was insanely moist, crispy, flavorful, everything we’ve been missing, we had to go back for seconds. Thank y’all so much for bringing us back home!!!!

I wanted to try something new and looked this place up. I should’ve read the one star reviews because they are 100% correct. The 5 wing dinner is AWFUL. The chicken wasn’t seasoned at all, literally they dumped it in oil and said here ya go! The baked beans AWFUL, fries tasted like old grease, broccoli casserole was soooo mushy. And I said fried chicken on the phone and they gave me the hot wings. The lady upfront is rude and said anyways, we assume you want the sauce if you don’t say. She’s very confrontational and probably the owner which makes sense at to why she acts the way she does. She has no one to answer to. I will never return. Very dirty inside as well. Health department will be called. Old candy in machines as well. I ordered at 12:15 I got my wrong order at 12:54pm.

A little run down. Well worth it though. Food was amazing!! Kids keep asking if we can go back. Keep in mind we were on our way to a band competition, who knows though. May make the trip again just to eat

Fried Chicken and Wings are top notch. Spicy sauce for fried chicken is simply delicious with heat everyone can enjoy. Flavorful buffalo hot sauce on wings. Crinkled cut regular fries are always crispy. Can’t speak to other sides but will say you don’t judge a bakery for their salads, reviews focusing on sides at Phifer’s miss the mark.

The food is AMAZING!! Good sized portions. Staff is friendly and honest about the food. Thumbs up or 5 stars 🌟..pick whatever ratings system you want cuz the food is worth it.

Customer service is out of the world. She makes you feel like family from the time you step in to the time you leave. The food 😲 its so good so much flavor crispy chicken with sauce. The mild is great it like a BBQ but not BBQ sauce the spicy is so good you can taste all the flavors. This sauce is made in house. So please go try Phifer hot wings to chicken Mac and cheese okra oh my but the broccoli cheese baked dish. Everything is great I eat here may 3-4 times a week I mean it's sust that good. But don't take my word go try it

Again I came back for a fish plate this restaurant is really awesome and the fish was simply delicious!!! The owner is wondering and so nice! The fried okra was tasty!! When I come back I will definitely order some Mac and cheese. They are already spoiling me their favorable fresh fish and I will try their fried chicken next time it looked so good! I'm not going to Skinner's no more. Thank you for cooking such southern style foods because we appreciate it. And the prices are good too.

Horrible food. I ordered the 5 wing dinner with two sides. The Mac and cheese was not seasoned at all and it was mushy. The baked beans taste like pork and beans they poured right from the can. The wings had a funny taste. I will not not be a returning customer.

A true diamond in the rough!!! Not sure which we liked better, the Wings or the Choppee BBQ... 🤤 Either way, you won't be disappointed!! Will be returning!

I enjoy 😉 going to Phifer's restaurant any time I 'm even near the vicinity of Statesville, N.C.,the service and atmosphere is a pleasure smiling faces ,excellent greeting, and that drive back home smelling that food is magical and intoxicating.

I missed the deadline to buy a turkey for Thanksgiving and ended up buying 200 wings from Phifer’s, those wings were BUSSIN’! I really appreciate the owner for looking out for me and for being so kind as well, they’ll always get my money.

Solid fried chicken. Had the Spicy bbq half chicken, fried okra and potato salad. Overall really great. White meat was a bit dry. Potato salad was fine. Okra was awesome.

Everything was great, will go back again my rate is a A+ on there food
