Had a lovely time here; tasty food, and friendly and profesional staff who respected our wish to be as Covid-safe as possible, giving us a table separated from the rest. Will definitly visit again on another occasion :) Bonus for many vegetarian options!

I had a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy with perfect lighting. The staff were helpful and always with smile. Menu was via QR code. The food was delicious with a variety of options, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The music was at the perfect volume and perfectly matched the vibe of the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience

Egon restaurant is an excellent option if you are visiting the harbor area of Stavanger. Staff is very competent and friendly and installations are sophisticated and cozy. I had two starters - mini quesadillas with marinated chicken and spekematsnack with some ham, sausage and olives.

I wandered in for lunch and ordered a large Fanta and the Egon Club. The Fanta was very large and the sandwich was delicious and filling.

Nice interior but it feels like a factory, not a restaurant. It should be called a bar. Service is too busy to take care about guests. Feels like saving money on staff is the most important thing. Prices are high but service is low. And if you don’t want cream in hot chocolate there’s no other way to leave a message then going to the bar (3 levels downstairs for example). You’re ordering by QR code but you can’t communicate what you want or do not want.

Excellent ambience, fabulous decor, the meals are delicious. I had a taco salad plus a freshly squeezed apple and raspberry juice. This restaurant caters for all demographics and food allergies. The staff are very professional and attentive and offer excellent service, especially to me. I would like to thank in particular Alexander, and Sondre and to highly recommend the Egon, Stavanger.

We had dinner here both nights we spent in Stavanger. The first evening, coincidentally a prom night for school students, we received good service and good food. The second night we returned because of this but this time (1) our table did not get cleaned until after our food was there, (2) we asked for an ashtray which they could not find (we could see six empty tables with ashtrays on them), and when they did finally find an ashtray (3) we were told we cannot smoke at that table so we had to move. (4) No waiter helped us move to a smoker table. (5) Our dessert was forgotten because of what happened before. The restaurant was not busy that evening. It wasn't even half full and we got abysmal service compared to the previous night when we waited in queue to be sat at a table. At least the food was good both times. Cannot recommend if the service quality can vary so much.

Cod was great but the caesar salad tasted nothing like a caesar salad. Unique vibes with ordering at the counter and food delivery to your table

We enjoyed the delicious Fish soup, Cod from Nothern Norway, Ultimate Burger and California Fried Chicken Burger. Very nice interior setting, we liked the online ordering method. 2 adults + 2 teenagers from Czechia

Looking for lunch with a pizza buffet this place is good. And other foods, overall okay, in the heart of the city.

Highly recommend this restaurant to families with (small) kids! Cosy interior, lots of space with many tables separated from others by sheer distance or props, kids can walk around. There are 3-4 stories but all well connected and lots or vision throughout the central open area. Food is good with many options on both the adult and kids menu, ordered at the bar and then delivered (relatively fast) to the table. I thought about subtracting a star for service because you have to order yourself, but this way you don't have to wait for a long time if you want to order, and the entire staff is very friendly and helpful so still 5 stars. Translated menus available in English, Spanish and some other languages.

Egon is classic. They offer a lot of food, and many world cuisines, so I think if you don’t know where to eat, Egon is great choice. There was absolutely full outside and inside, and lot of people ordering on bar, so I ordered trough QR code on table. Food for 3 people was ready in 15 minutes! And staff was very nice and still smiling. That is why we like Egon.

I'm torn with this restaurant. I really enjoyed the design of the place. The food was ok tastewise as well. However everything else was pretty aweful. We came on a Monday night around 8-8:30pm. First we waited for 20 minutes in front of the restaurant. People kept leaving. Lot's of tables were empty but noone was taken in for a while. Then we were allowed to enter and decided to sit down outside. Lot's of free tables but all of them were dirty, there was a broken sauce cup on the floor and the first bench I sat down on was actually broken in the middle and only holding on by the webbing around it. Then we realized that we either had to order via our phone or go inside to wait in another queue for another 15 minutes. We had a voucher so no ordering online. Next we waited on the food which took it's time. The burger / Pizza was around 220 Krona/ 22€ and big coke was 70 Krona / 7€. With lots of ice of course. Considering the price the portions were small and there wasn't much topping on either burger nor pizza. The pizza was really cracker like as well. Tbh whilst I still need to get used to the prices in Norway I still found it to be way too much especially considering the dining experience which was more comparable to McDonald's then a high end restaurant. When we came the staff seemed like a mess.

OK for a mid-week meal. Really wanted to go to Olivia next door but they were fully booked on a Tuesday! So we went next door to Egon and ordered pizza and pasta. We have been here a few times, always when we cannot get a table elsewhere on the front harbour. I would say this is typical 'pub' food with a large menu. Very average, nothing special. Food is ordered through an app, and Although easy, personally I would like for it to get back to human interaction.

Very good and delicious restaurant. I liked there style for ordering, once you find a table you can order online from your phone and write the table number and they will bring your food to your table. In addition, I would recommend to try The Egonburger and the crispy chicken tacos they are so delicious.

I came here for their pizza buffet. Overall, food was very lackluster. There were two pizza varieties available: salami and parma ham, and a spicy sausage. The topping selections were actually pretty decent in my mind. However, the pizzas had been clearly sitting out for a long time under warming lamps. The cheese had gotten all dry and crusty. The pizzas also lacked any real flavor. The salad was browning in color and rather limp. You could choose between two dressings: mango and peanut, and garlic. Neither was very appetizing. The only redeeming quality of this meal was the price. For 145 NOK, you'll be hard pressed to find a cheaper meal anywhere in Stavanger.

We had bad experience. We have never gone to the high-end restaurant where you have to go get glass of water on your own. We were told to go get water from the bar once we finished ordering and paying for the food. This was surprising. She was literally saying she has many tables to clean so we should go downstairs ourself to get water. All other restaurants surved jar of water when customers sat down or order for water. We ordered two dishes. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get our order. One dish we ordered came with rice. The rice was not cooked well. So we told waitress about half cooked rice. She apologized and offer to bring new dish. And she finally agree to bring water. Mind you, this is the same waiter who told us to go get water on our own from downstair. I find this change of deminear funny . Finally, dish with cooked rice came along with about another 15 mins with two glasses of water. However, we were too thirsty to wait for that long.We went downstairs to get water on our own. When she brought the dish she offer either coffee or dessert on the house. She went downstairs to get menu but she never came up. We finished our dinner and left the restaurant. We did not want to wait any longer. Our first visit to this restaurant left us with much 😞 disappointments.

Place is absolutely terrible. We had to order at the bar downstairs but when one of us walked downstairs to order the food and drinks, we were told to show our ID’s. It wasn’t possible to send someone upstairs, so the five of us had to walk downstairs to show our ID’s one for one. After wat too much time we got our food first and drinks 10 mins after… i ordered medium rare and got Well done. Food was cold. Food was overly expensive Don’t eat here

Went for the pizza buffet for lunch once, it was ok, nothing special. The salad was disappointing. Seems to be from a bag, pre-cut. One greasy dressing only. Nice people work there though, and centrally located. The burger was decent. Expensive beer.

Very unfriendly to dogs. It was late and windy and there were many tables Freeware inside, bit not allowed with dogs(less than 7kg, size of a cat) because the dogs could scare some guests... what?? So we get a table outside... We ordered the Pizza buffet. Pizza was 2 of 5 stars. They told us to bring fresh Pizza (buffet) but at least we had to eat the whole Pizza of the buffet before they brought fresh Pizza. Last slice was half eaten (by guest/waiter?) but we were told to eat the slice before serving new. So, at least it was not good there. No recommendation

Absolutely lovely waiters. One of our young guests cut her finger deeply with a steak knife. Not only did they administer first aid, but also packed our food into take away boxes for us. Also, we ordered for 15 guests and the food came quickly. Haven't tasted it yet but it smelled amazing.

Egon, in the heart of Stavanger, is good, very good. Exellent location, nice rustic interior and very good food. You can either order your food with your cellphone, or go to the counter for a special order. I miss doing exeptions on my food-order online....like making a note om my booking that i do not want onion, pickles or something om my burger.....
