Nice staff, clean facilities, close to the city. However there are way too few sinks to wash your dishes (only 3 for the whole camping, meaning you always have to queue), and despite the beautiful area next to a lake it’s extremely noisy due to the nearby road. If you’re camping with a tent, finding a flat spot can also be rather difficult.

Nice and comfortable accommodation and facilities with all the basic amenities, however, there is some theft here. Don’t leave anything outside your car/van. We left a pocket knife out to dry after washing and even that was stolen, but considering it’s in an urban setting, it should be expected. So, all in all, it was a good experience!

We were staying for one night at the Camping with our van and have to say that the staff is really nice and the sanitary facilities were clean. The bus station to the city centre of Stavanger is right next to the camping and therefore easily reachable. We highly recommend the Camping while traveling around the city.

With a 30 minute walk from city center of Stavanger and a Bus stop really nearby, is this the best camping for exploring Stavanger. It is located in a park and the local swimming pool is its direct neighbour. This makes it also not a really private camping. Facilities are good, clean and well maintained. Showers are included in the price which is not standard in Norway but also explains the relative higher price in comparison with many other campings. All in all a solid place for a night.

Its very clean. Cooking facilities are nice, but bring your own pots etc. If you sleep in a tent use something to cover your ears, since the city didn't build walls to reduce the noise caused by the large road nearby.

We arrived 11/08. The camping was crowded like a refugee camp. The only empty spaces were so muddy the van barely moved. Only one person in the reception we had to wait long for information. The upper places were noisy, next to a main road . Sorry, we left after 10'.

Excellent camp site, superbly run and extremely busy. The location is fantastic on a beautiful lake and next to a public swimming pool. All the amenities are available, showers, washing machines and an excellent kitchen. For us the big plus was the fabulous cycling lane from the campsite to the city centre that was almost completely free of car and truck traffic. Stavanger has to rate a super cycle city, just ten minutes. Mosvatnet is a lovely lake and park with a great walk around the perimeter. The bus stop is also outside the camping and we went to Pulpit Rock from there, an unmissable experience if physically challenging.

Great place to stay, near city, all clean. We rented two cabins. Unfortunatley a light and a radiation in one cabin didnt work so it was cold in the night.

We came on the 11th August, we saw and we left. The camping ground was full and only a couple of muddy and inclined places was available. Rest of the spaces were cramped. The was only one service building for so many visitors. There was only one (nice and helpful) person at the reception at that time to welcome the waves of visitors.

This campsite is extremely well located if you want to explore the Stavanger and its surroundings. You can easily walk to the city centre or, when you are as lazy as us, take the bus ;-) My compliments to the staff and crew of this campsite. I can't remember ever to have seen a campsite that is so well kept and clean as this one. The staff and crew are all very friendly and helpful.

I stayed here last year with my family for one night. We found the stay very pleasant. The campsite was clean and very modern. The staff was also very friendly. There was even a small acoustic concert in the evening. We would definitely recommend the campsite and would be happy to come back.

Camping Mosvangen is ideally located for visiting the city of Stavanger. The campground is relatively small and borders a public park and a lake. Many people cross the place walking or riding their bikes. The pitches are gravel and grass, narrow and parallel without shade or separation, not unusual for a city-campground. Tents and smaller vehicles can also camp on grass on a small hill. Electric installation is top-notch with separate 16A RCCB per outlet! The WiFi did however not work well, connection kept dropping and bandwidth was too low. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean but I found them quite crowded, maybe a bit too crowded at times. You cannot make reservations so it is advisable to arrive early. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall I'd recommend this site for a city stay - if you prefer more privacy and a less busy place this might not be right for you.

No booking here, just turn up and they will find you a space ( hopefully). Motorhome parking with electricity is currently NOK 400 per night and includes hot showers. Washing machine and dryer extra. Next to an urban park so anyone can walk through but it's an easy 40 minutes walk into the city centre.

Okay place. Telts are near a road so there is some noise. There are stoves, kettles. The showers are cheap economic. Giving a harsh spray to save water. It does not feel warming since there isnt much water. Gendered bathrooms with two family. No unisex toilets. Single toilet with enclosed wash otherwise shared wash

Good value for money! It would be better to have some common room with roof, to chill in when bad weather and cold. There was only one table at reception and almost all the time it was full. But otherwise I recommend.

Beautiful small-scale campsite with good sanitary and kitchen facilities. Nice atmosphere, the staff were kind and helpful with everything. Supermarket and municipality swimming pool are located next to the campsite. Definitely a great place for people looking to stay a week or for hikers to Preikestolen :)

Nice campsite to visit Stavanger. Make sure to put all your properties inside when going to sleep or to town. In the sanitary unit you are warned for burglary and as there is no fence around the campsite everybody can enter it.

Practical location and decent new facilities, staff moderately friendly, but spaces for tents are located near a busy highway which is very loud at night. Also, this is part of the city’s park and recreation area, so the space is used by many people (which made me feel a bit uncomfortable). I only recommend it if you have no other option.
