I was blown away by the friendly staff here, especially our waitress Stefanie. We brought family with us who have 2 small kids. I've never been in a restaurant where kids were handled so well. From the kids menus to the staff being so nice to the kids. At one point, one of the little ones started to cry, and before I knew what was going on our waitress brought a balloon with rice in it and shook it then handled it over. The little one stopped crying and was happy. I'm not sure if this is normal for every Block House, but they know how to keep a good atmosphere and handle kids. And of course, the steak is very good. Everytime family comes to visit with the kids, we will come here. Thank you Block House Nürnberg!

I called for a reservation and they hung up on me three-time. We get here and there are so many open tables...the table was dirty when we got here and the waiterss was upset when we questioned if the table was cleaned before we were seated...why do we need a vaccination or a negative test when they do not clean the table before we are seated? This place is discussing and the potatoes are gross....there are food on the ground before we got here and left....plus there was hair in my girlfriends steak. Absolutely disgusting was our experience...

Our experience was mixed... They seemed to be short-staffed, which was reflected in the fact that we were there for 90 minutes even though they didn't seem all that busy. My steak was delicious an perfectly cooked, but my husband's was drastically overcooked. We were afraid to send it back because we weren't sure how long it might take.

Food wasn't good ,they don't even try to make it look good ,for such price's isn't worth it,skip this place and go elsewhere.!

Steak chain. Tasty big portions, nothing super special but well done. They have good salads and desserts. Enjoyable ambience. A bit pricey. It is always full, so I recommend to make a reservation (what can be done online).

One of my favorite places to eat stake. The staff is very friendly and checks on you to see if you need anything. The food is consistently great. It a little pricey but the quality of the food and staff is at the same level. Go eat there.

The waiter who took care of us was very rude. Instead of asking to see if the wine was finished, he took the bottle and shake it. He took the extra serving plate under the plate by pulling the main plate without asking. He either didn't answer our questions about food/wine or just ignored it saying 'it's a good thing'. He and his behavior were very disturbing and we could not understand the reason for this rudeness. We didn't expect extreme love and sincerity, but the 'oh whatever' attitude made us very nervous. Although we came with a reservation for a long dinner, we were disappointed and unfortunately we left the place right after we ate the food quickly. Apart from that the meat was not very tasty but garlic bread and boiled potato was fine. The hamburger menu does not look like a hamburger! You get a hamburger patty on a plate, with a slice of garlic bread and some vegetables, and it's not a hamburger. The place was not very crowded and service speed was average. Unfortunately the service quality is very poor.

Bad experience. Horrible service, expensive prices. Waiter could have been more friendly, the only smile we get was for the tip.

Unfortunately, I have the worst experience in that restaurant. The waiter was super rude since we had a seat. And that rudeness continues during the whole time. When we were paying, he asked for a tip, and for sure, none of us wanted to give a tip for such a bad service. He started to act worse. Therefore I would never go there again. Regarding the food, nothing special, the meat was not even that tasty, that's why it felt like it's a classical "tourist restaurant". Garlic bread was pretty delicious, though.

Steak was quite deliscious and reasonable. The place opened in 1968.

Although, I screwed up the reservation, they still got us a table - thanks. The dinner salad was top for Nürnberg, the steak juicy. The service was friendly and efficient. Next time we get that craving for a good steak, we'll be back.

Good place to eat a steak in the center of Nuremberg. Service is always top and very family/children friendly. We have been here many times, a few months ago we were very disappointed with the food but gave it another chance this last weekend. Luckily quality was back to normal and we enjoyed our rear steaks. It is not cheap but the steak price includes the sides, so in the end it is OK.

I’ve had better steaks than this for sure, even at cheaper steak restaurants abroad. I ordered medium, I got well done (hard for me to complete my plate). The plate also looked too sad, one piece of steak, a baked potato and a piece of bread, hence why there’s no picture added. Even if the food is bad and overrated, the customer service is excellent.

Great steak and calm pleasent atmosphere

The place and the service is definitely great. The location is for sure convenient. The food, not bad! It is on the pricy end for sure.

Well the food was all lovely (steak, lamb, 2xkids meals) cooked to order. It wasn't very loud the waitress spoke lovely English, and we were made to feel very welcome. At the end the boys also got a gift.

It's a bit crowded due to the Christmas market. However I enjoyed the steak 😋

The steak was excellent. They serve it with baked potato and bread. I would prefer potato without mayonnaise or whatever they put on it by default. The overall experience was good.

The look of the place is a high end steakhouse. The staff was very attentive and polite. But the food was not what I expected. Very tough cut of beef they called sirloin. The burgers seemed to be made with cheap cuts. The french fries were not good. Too thin and not hot. The American salad was good though.

Lovely food. Didn't fancy a big meal and found a perfect salad on their menu. My husband had lamb, and it was so tender! The service was 5*, Natasha couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely return!!!

Good steak, nice size. Very busy, staff were a bit abrupt but perhaps I was being too sensitive. All in all very good

It is a super nice restaurant and very good food! I totally recomend it. It is important to book the table because everytime is full.

I’d been travelling most of the day and missed lunch. It was 4 and I didn’t want some place where I’d have to wait to eat at 6 as I was pretty tired. This place does that sort of meal all day. It wasn’t too busy either so i could choose where I wanted to sit. The menu is in different languages which is helpful. The meal was delicious and I was actually too full for anything else after, but the desserts look good. Waiting staff are friendly and the place is very tidy. Definitely stop in if you’re hungry

Food is good but a bit overpriced for what you get. The meat quality is average at best for a steakhouse. The service at this location in particular was terrible, I won’t be back.

It was a wonderful experience to have dinner at Block House. Waiters are friendly and helpful. I ordered a rib eye master cut by medium rare. Cooking is perfect but meat itself has some hard-bite portion. I also enjoyed asparagus as well. Good restaurant.

Excellent food, a great view to see the kitchen work and put out the dishes. Restaurant was very full but they found us a table with a short wait. Service was very pleasant but a bit slow. My second visit after 3 years since last time

Situated in the central plaza of the historical center, it has both inside and outside possibilities to serve. Good food, but I really appreciate the service: it started raining and we had an outside table and the waiter lady offered to move us inside. After the rain worsened, we took the offer. And also we could stay some time after we finished our meal inside, until the rain weakened. Overall a nice experience, against the odds, due to good service.

A wonderful experience. The staff spoke excellent English and the menu was printed in English. Highly recommend the Block House to anyone looking for a fine dining experience indoors or outdoors.

American food in Germany. It's great if you want a bite of American style food.

Service improved after the first 5 minutes 👍🏼. Beer 🍺 and coke 😋 were cold 🥶 and refreshing. Burgers 🍔 🍔 were good 👍🏼. We'll be repeat offenders 🤣.

Got us a table here for dinner, seems like a busy place great location right in the market square. Staff was friendly and efficient, food was great the steaks are very generous. Our dinner party kept growing and they kept accommodating us, we started at 6 and ended up with 14 people in the end and they found a spot for everyone it was a great night for all of us, thank you we needed something other than bratwurst and schnitzel.
