They gave us a room in a corner of the hotel, in which we barely got any WIFI signals. We had to use our 4G data during our stay... Staff were not friendly at all especially the person who was there when we checked in. We had to scan our card multiple times for the room's door to open because the door's locking system was probably broken which was quite annoying. The hotel is located in the red light district.

Stayed 3 nights and was upgraded due to my diamond status. Beautiful room and wonderful service. Excellent choice of breakfast options. The only downside is the location... It's located in the red light district. So if you have kids, try avoiding walking during night time.

Good room, large and comfortable and the location is very close to the city centre. The service was quite cold, nothing to complain about but not particularly welcoming. The car park is not great if you have a large or wide car. The ramp is very narrow.

Modern and clean hotel. Expect all the conveniences of a chain hotel. Front desk spoke English well which was convenient. Good breakfast buffet. It was located a 20 min walk to old town sites like the castle and Hauptmarkt. Note that it is right around the corner from the red light district - but that area does not need to be a part of your stay as we never heard any commotion and the hotel felt safe

Next to red-light District but no noise or problems because of this. Only two small milks per day and one hot chocolate sachet, so if you both want chocolate one will be disappointed 😥. I went down to the bar and they kept giving me a small milk jug which was more than adequate. Book the buffet breakfast as staff are helpful and always enough to eat with a good verity.

We were disappointed with the breakfast spread. As a vegetarian you will hardly find anything to eat. If they just had some tomatoes, cucumber, bell peppers and onions... This hotel would have won our heart. It's just not that, the other breakfast items were always empty and they hardly refilled.

Unfortunately the most important thing in the hotel should be the service provided, that in this case on the check in of 5th October was unbelievably bad. With giving my room to another person and during my check in asking me if i already checked in... And then the frustration of the employee not understanding what went wrong in the company make her be bad face to me, not wishing a good stay and being rude!

Great place to stay over a couple of nights and visit the city. The rooms were big and spacious, clean and the service was amazing. Very polite and helpful personnel. Would definitely stay another night when I visit again.

I visited a friend there when my flight out of the Albrecht Durer airport got delayed. The service I received there is so far not matched by any other hotel. The service was delivered by Daniel who was the security man at post. He was exceptional and is definitely due a raise.

Holiday Inn hotels from IHG are always like a small grab bag. Some are very close to low budget hotels, others are very close to more luxurious hotels. The Holiday Inn in Nuremberg was a positive surprise for us. Apart from the fact that our room rate was quite good, we were very positively surprised by some points: - The location is quite good. You walk a bit to the old town, but the distance is still bearable. The walk to the train station is a bit longer (about 15 minutes), but also still ok. Small note: The hotel is located in the red light district of Nuremberg, but this is not really important in practice. - All the staff are really very friendly, courteous and service-oriented. - The whole house makes a lovingly maintained impression. - The rooms are nicely furnished, have everything you need and are clean. - The housekeeping is on their toes and the cleaning is very good. - The breakfast is definitely one of the better ones we have had at a Holiday Inn in Germany. The selection is good and the food is tasty. There are even egg dishes on request, there is a very large tea selection and also quite a lot of fruit. Just to name a few examples. If the hotel now had a pool, a real gym and an executive lounge, then it would be an absolute recommendation. But even so, we would come back anytime.

A very well equipped hotel with large rooms, a restaurant facility with a bar facility option, nice addition to thr hotel is a small gym and sauna room on the first floor. The rooms are relatively quite and the hotel is located nearby the main shopping centre street. Breakfast is a bit pricey, comes at € 21.00 but a lot if options to choose from. I will happily return

We have been there only for one night, but this is a place to go if you like to be in center of the city. Hotel, is not fancy but bed was super great, pillows exceptional, room had a fresh smell and this is more than good for my 1-2 day stays.

Excellent location right inside the wall so it is easy to come with a car and close to walk to everything. parking garage under the building, so it is safe. There are rubber paddings on walls that you do not damage car doors while opening. Rooms are very big and clean, modern, not shabby, very quiet. We had been to Nurnberg some years ago, stayed in that hotel as well, so we knew we were getting an excellent service. The hotel has 4 stars and it is exactly like a 4 stars hotel should be.

Based on the amount We paid for two connecting rooms as a U.S. military retiree, AAA member and senior citizen, the hotel delivered poorly. Staff is very deceiving, carefully picking words then denying later. I should have known something was amiss as they required me, as a Platinum level Ambassador in the IHG awards program, to submit a signed credit card statement in advance. This is the only Holiday Inn requiring this during our Germany stay and we were booked into five separate properties.

The hotel itself is moderate, clean, but given the price paid then no, it‘s overpriced and does not serve up to its standard. The hotel is located in Altstadt, convenient but is located directly next to the Red Light District. One night we would like to call for a room service or just to order food, the restaurant refused because it is crowded with customers from outside the hotel. Understandably busy, but sounds little bit ridiculous if your own restaurant is not serving the hotel guests as priority. Second thing is about the heater. We stay during the winter. Facing the minus degrees outside, the heater in room takes a whole day to heat up. The front desk and staffs also don‘t seem to know how to help, simply asking guests to press and wait, but it’s ridiculous if a heater needs a day to heat up. Imagine some guests don’t really stay more than a night and they would suffer from coldness, in a 4-stars world chained hotel.

We arrived by car, there is a loading zone, so I was able to check in while my husband waited. The parking garage is VERY narrow, our SUV barely made it. It was 1.8m height. Going up/down the garage was the scariest. Our small dog came with us, the fee was not bad. We were upgraded to an Apartment, which was great, bigger and it is in a different building. The apartment is connected to the main hotel and parking garage. The location is good, it's not in the main tourist area, but close. There are stripe clubs close to the hotel, so if you have kids, they will see inappropriate posters. The staff were very friendly, as enjoyed our stay.

Fair size room, view only over an inner courtyard. Noisy air conditioning, I had to turn it off to sleep. Hotel is well positioned in the old town. A bit too expensive.

I stayed for one night during my grand tour of Europe. The hotel is standard holiday inn and reasonable. We paied more than £130 for a night which was overpriced but ok. The problem starts when you deal with people. The hotel is managed like a concentration camp. To begin with, the restaurant for breakfast has a code for shoes, yes it is right shoes in 21st century. The lady in charge gave us strict prison style notice that kids shouldn't run, but my son was not running anyway. Then I saw many kids running around with no problem. Probably because they were German and my son was English.

Nice and clean rooms. Fittings and fixtures of good quality and well-maintained. Good location and cheap overnight parking. Would stay again the next time I come to Nuremberg!

A family led hotel that is a great place to stay in the city centre. It excels in multiple dimensions. I had to find a place on a short notice in Nuremberg, and was so glad I chose this hotel over others nearby (eg. Radisson Blue). The location is great - in walking distance to all the great historical sightseeing spots and main subway stations. The rooms are spacious as well as beautifully and thoughtfully designed. A contemporary, calm ambiance in beige/gray tones with a Bavarian traditional twist and some subtle Nuremberg decorations. I thought the interior architecture was really great (and not the typical generic Holiday Inn style one would expect from the US). Next comes a really warm and welcoming staff throughout. I have to congratulate the owners for choosing such wonderful people, including people in the breakfast room, the cleaning ladies from Russia an Ukraine, David as the door person, Rishop at the reception, and Michael at the bar. With the latter I had a wonderful conversation one evening. Very nice person with lots of experience in top level gastronomy venues. Then the hotel offers several amenities that make the stay more pleasant - free coffee and tee through most of the day, free croissants in the early day, free bicycles for use (which was especially great), great rates for food, soft or hard pillows to choose from etc. Overall, I am very glad I chose the Holiday Inn Nuremberg over other offers. It just felt that the owners treat this hotel with special thought and as more than a money making machine. It felt family style. I hope the owners continue to treat their staff well so that the continue to be so friendly and motivated. All the best

The hotel has a good location right in city center. The rooms were modern and very clean, beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, really enjoyed it. WiFi from the rooms were very poor however.

Room is very nice and clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Underground parking is available. Convenient to Old City center though in a slightly shady area on south west edge. Everything is in walking distance.

We used this as a stop over during a long drive. We have two little kids and this place worked out fine. We really liked the spacious room that just about fited all four of us, the good breakfast and the fact that there was a parking option, even for cars with a roof box. We also liked the service minded, fully English speaking staff and how quickly they resolved our problems. First, the kids did not show up at their end of the reservation platform, then they gave us a room that stank of cigarette smoke. Both were solved immediately. The price was a bit steep for the one room we got and after the whole day of driving with two small kids in tow we did not find the joke with the smoking room funny at all.
